Villa Howden

We were so excited about staying here on Friday 10th January 2020 and could not have been more disappointed. The house has 10 rooms with only 1 room on the ground level. It was directly opposite the Coffee / Drink station, and the Breakfast / Dining area. You could hear everything as you literally walked out your door into the Coffee station. We were awoken to the banging of the coffee group head, tea cup clanging, doors opening and closing and voices continuously. When guests left for dinner on the Saturday night at around 10: 00pm, they stood and had a conversation at the coffee / drink station. There is absolutely no privacy if you staying in this room and the cherry on the cake was the young chinese girl running around in the bedroom above us until 2: 00am in the morning. Its really unfair for what we paid for the night and unfair to sell it as a room when all guests should be put on level 1 and 2 for the ultimate privacy and relaxation that they guarantee. It is a wonderful property and extremely beautiful but we were unfortunate to not get what we paid for and get the Villa Howden experience. Michelle Smith

This Villa is exceptional for a quiet get away. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The food is very good and served in a stylish dining room with nice views. Villa Howden is very private and well taken care of. A good place to stay while traveling to Hobart. I highly recommend it.

The staff were very attentive to our every need. The food was very nice and the atmosphere was relaxing. A very nice way to spend our anniversary. The rooms were clean and even had a glass of sparkling wine on arrival. Lovely views and many different sitting areas.

Absolutely beautiful, the staff are amazing and hats off to Sara who has a great eye for detail and extremely wonderful personality.
One negative is that I feel the whole Villa needs some general maintenance the gardens are a little uncared for along with parts of the building. Perhaps the menu is lacking in maybe another choice or two for both breakfast and dinner.
But when you are there its like you are miles from no where when in fact it is a quick trip any where.
Would definitely recommend for something a little bit special.

Amazing villa! Spent the long weekend at this villa. Dinner meal was amazing and the room was clean and cozy. Heated pool was so relaxing. The satff there was so kind and helpful. Thanks so much for the amazing hosting! We will defintely come again!

Absolutely amazing villa. Totally beautiful inside and out. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous. Nicest place I have ever stayed.

Hosted a farewell event, costs were incredibly reasonable, staff were friendly and everyone had a great time.

We visited Bruni's restaurant this evening for a special dinner after a wedding vow ceremony. There were 7 of us including a 3 yr old. Everyone had various dietary restrictions/preferences and the staff were very willing and able to meet all of them. Although the menu was not large, it was quite adequate. Most of us had the fillet of beef which was amazing. One of us had the salmon which was also excellent. Dessert was absolutely delicious. The ambience of the place is great in a beautiful setting reminiscent of a large Italian villa overlooking fields and water. I would highly recommend this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.
