We are quite happy with our accommodation here @ the recent change of name 'Panorama Hotel ' the service had been great and staff friendly. Rooms aren't very soundproof though. Had lunch here it was of top standard. The hotel is handy to town.

We have never actually stayed at this place and certainly wouldn't do so in the future because we were booked to spend a night but unable to come to Tasmania due to the government closing the border. Contact with the owner of this hotel was just so unpleasant as each time the man on the phone was rude and inflexible. We understand about small business and this terrible time for them but in total contrast to this man every other booking we had in Tasmania the people were so understanding and nice and refunded our money. Total refusal from this place and no compromise.half the money back would have been a gesture which would have seen us re booking later in the year but just a blank wall and very rude man. We travel a lot as do our many friends so I don't think this man has done himself a favour.

Worst place to stay over.unproffessional staff very rude.not recommend to any one. Waste of money.the carpets in the hall way was badly stained.the owner was super rude and racist. All of a sudden started banging on our door and was physically aggressive.not professional at all.the bed it self was wobbly not comfortable at all.when we went with a compliant the so called receptionist asked what would you want me to do.shame on their hospitality and the way they communicate.save your money for another place.

The staff is very unprofessional. From the time I made the booking until the checkout time, it was such a bad experience. The most horrible experience was that during the night someone started knocking on the door and as soon as I opened the door a man started to push me and tried to enter the rooming stating that he's the owner and there's noise complaints about our room and started to get physically aggressive as well. I was surprised that not receiving a single phone call to our room regarding the voice complaint, how could someone just started banging on the guest room doors and get colony with the guest.

The resort has potential but felt it was in need of a refurbishment
The management didn't bother to acknowledge guests very unfriendly
The restaurant was average and the room felt cold and damp
If they want people to come back they need to pick up there game

6 of us stayed 2 night's and none of us got a good night's sleep, beds need replacing, rooms were stuffy, " Water view" rooms looked over a swamp and it smelt of sewerage at low tide.
Clearly nobody has a clue what a continental breakfast is. Dinner options were limited, we ate out.

Large room was a nice surprise but the garden view was appalling: more like a weed view. The bathroom was also large but with tiny shower. Thewines are well priced. Our greeting at check in was perfunctory and did not make us feel welcome. The same can be said for the rude manager. The outdoor deck area was great for breakfast and pre-dinner drinks. The carpets in tge hallway are badly stained. Overall it is an ok place for a few days if you do not have high expectations.

Not to bad only one thing you have to walk quite a way to the room, if you are disabled and have bags it may not be for you. The staff are not happy.

Comfortable rooms, nice views. Dinner options quite reasonable but continental breakfast is pretty basic. Rooms not very soundproof!

Clean and comfortable good size room. A little dated but with quality timber furniture. Close to town.

This is a pretty big place offering accommodation and meals. We were staying elsewhere but dined here on a Sunday evening. Our oysters Kilpatrick were good as were the seafood chowders we selected.

Room was very clean and comfortable, although balcony furniture could be improved. Staff were quite friendly.

However, I was letdown by the continental breakfast, thin walls and kind of sad looking outdoors area.

The resort has potential but is very outdated. We had no hot water for our stay, so showering was not very pleasant. We paid for a spa room, buy due to insufficient heated water we couldn't use it. The pool area was quite nice, however a bbq area could be a great addition. The deck area was lovely. Our balcony was littered with a broken birds nest and bird droppings which was quite unfortunate. It seems that the hot water issue has been an ongoing issue which is yet to be rectified. The beds were comfortable, linen was clean. Customer service was a slight let down as not very welcoming upon arrival.

Very disappointing! The owner was extremely rude & displayed disgusting customer service. There was no hot water in our room all day & when I spoke to the owner about it he was rude & basically said it was my problem because I didn't tell him in the morning. He then asked me what I wanted him to do about it & told me that he was hanging up the phone. When paying $200 a night for a hotel room I would expect that there would be hot water. There was no apology from him

There was no hot water in our room - that was unpleasant but noones fault (wait, it seems this is a recurring problem in other reviwes). We called 4 times to ask about it and never got a soultion or a call back to tell us that it was broken, or fixed, or anything. Absolutely noone was interested in compensating or even apologising to us this morning. Overall their service has been dismissive. I mean, the room had a spa bath in it! Super frustrating. 2 cold showers and 1 star.

First off there is no signage on the outside of the building, so had to walk in just to check if we found the right place. Reception staff were no at all interested in helping with our bags as we struggled through the front doors and just sat there and watched. Told there was no A/C AT ALL in the place and we checked in on a 39 degree day so the place was like a sauna inside. Felt nothing like a "resort" that the place is advertised and could hear every footstep above our room and all along the long corridor, with floors that creaked and groaned with every footstep outside the door. The view was of a dried out mud hole that was right outside our ground floor balcony, which looked nothing like the photos at all. On top of all this the rates are off the planet and wouldn't pay any more than $90 a night to stay here given the amenities. Needless to say we didn't even spend one night here at Tidal Waters "resort" and found a lovely self-contained cottage up the road on a hill with a fantastic view of the water, with Wallabies running around, managed by a very friendly man and cost half as much as this place! AVOID this place like the plague.

Unfortunately no room service, or real food available on site at night. Receptionist seemed a little confused about everything. Including about how to purchase the book in the room supposed to be available at reception.

Room cold and damp.
We had paid for one of their best rooms!
No hot water for a shower.
They did apologise for forgetting to turn gas on!
Breakfast included in price but not set up at time and told to come back later.
Whole place place chilly and uninviting anyway.
So much potential.
Would never return.

No hot water was the final straw. Worst value "continental breakfast" ever. Decor very shabby, leaking shower stall.the list goes on

Customer service is none existent. Promised loads of stuff when we booked the room, nothing was done right after we arrived. They tried to put the blame on us too.
