They advertise "eat free on your birthday" but BEWARE, read the terms and conditions! So rude and stubborn. Oh, and good luck finding the T&C's, they don't advertise them.

Absolutely loved this place, the meals were huge and amazing, the three if us who dined can put away a feed however we all struggled to eat our meal! Beer was cold. Staff were friendly and lovely. We will definitely be back for another meal very soon!

We’re accommodated even though we didn’t have reservations. Great food with huge portions. Service was great. Highly recommend.

So disappointed attended last night
booked 630 pm. Tired and worn out
lost our meal order sitting upstairs by 740 all upstairs patrons had been served with the exception of our table even though we where the first to arrive.
The wait staff kept apologising at 745 ready to leave only to be finally served a cold microwave cob loaf.
When our meals finally arrive my husbands chicken dish was overcooked and very dry.
My steak was so tough.
The poor waitstaff where very embarrassed.
Don't waste your time or money.
We did receive a discount but would rather have had a nice night out and a lovley meal.

My friends and I went here on a Saturday night and we had to wait over two hours! For hour entree and a further half an hour for our mains! However, the wait staff were accommodating and apologetic about the wait.

We all enjoyed our night here. The staff were friendly and the food was good with generous servings. It has a really good warm and cosy atmosphere

Good flavour but the smallest serve of rice I've ever seen, particularly considering the dish was $28.

Nice old pub with very lovely staff. Took a long time for food to be served though. Taste of food used to be better but was not as good last time we had a meal there.

We ordered 3 dishes. Only 1 was actually tasty, the satay chicken tenders. The stuffed capsicum was tasteless. A main serve of crumbed scallops was so tiny, for $34, and over cooked. Not good when hubby is famished and really looking forward to them. Very disappointed, as have had reasonably good food here previously. Glass of house wine was also incredibly expensive.didn't go back for a second. Only redeeming feature was the dog-friendly beer garden. Like I said, just very disappointed.

Edit: Fabulous service recovery! I pretty much had put this behind me, but the hotel ensured to reach out while I’m still at the property.

Table reservation: 7.30pm, entered and sat on time, order given by 7.40pm. A portion of garlic bread is sent to the table at 8.15pm. In the meantime, the glaring lights above the table gave me a headache. I requested a female staff that we be moved because of this, she said she would check and get back to me, she didn’t.

A tall staff was the one to welcome me by name at the restaurant and the one who moved me to a different table. He was the saving grace of the whole evening.

The risotto arrived at 8.25pm, served by the manager. I requested her for spoons to eat the dish. She said ‘certainly’ and disappeared, no spoon and no check in to see if everything was okay, which is basic practise at any restaurant.

I got the attention of the tall staff, ordered dessert, had it and left. Very disappointed by the service, except for the tall guy. Food was good but wouldn’t return. Happy to discuss this further as I am staying at the hotel.

Rating reflects the service I got from the two female staff and the terrible lighting.

Came in on Monday 16th of January the two girls that where work on that night wow they both were amazing and can’t speak highly enough about them food was great but the girls both went above and beyond. Thanks for a great night

Foods pretty bloody good, good range of options, pool table etc. Just don't skull out of the beer towers, the staff don't like it

Great service. Beautiful meals. We had the stuffed chicken and the scallops followed by apple pie. Lovely old pub.

No longer the lovely dining experience. Pretty poor very basic pub meals at a stupid price. Beautiful pub, but the kitchen needs Gordon Ramsay

Service average, venison pie was disappointing 90% gravy 2 small pieces of meat couldn't tell if it was venison or goat

Such a beautiful old building and that amazing fireplace welcomed us in from the cold. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Our drinks and meals were served in a very short time. We both had the venison pie. I loved the pastry and the sauce the venison was cooked in was decadent and so filling.

Warm and welcoming English- style pub with delicious food. We ate here three nights and I chose three different main meals. All were beautifully presented and delicious. Staff were polite and friendly and we only waited a very short time before we received our meals. Highly recommend you come and try out the lamb shoulder, the venison pie, the stuffed chicken breast and the oven baked salmon. Winner!

For the price the food I had was fairly average to be honest. Good service, nice comfy atmosphere.

Great restaurant but the place needs a bit of modernisation to get some more customers in my opinion.this restaurant is in a prime as location and could over a hundo customers per minute but the place is just sus you know like i don’t wanna go into a sussy restaurant

While the food was absolutely delicious, venue was cosy and welcoming, and staff were friendly, i had a really disappointing experience here. The ‘eat free on your birthday’ sign on the main road did not apply given “they weren’t told on booking”. Went to pay for my daughter and even though it was my birthday and the waitress wished me a happy birthday as I unwrapped gifts, they made me pay. Meal wait time was 1.5 hours too which left 2 younger children incredibly hungry.
