We did the Three capes Walk mid September. 1st for the season. Fabulous scenery, great bunch of people, awesome guides. Great food and wine.

So this trip was planned over a bottle of wine as neither my friend Kellie nor myself had ever done anything like this. It was decided as a way to celebrate my 50th birthday we would embark on the Three Capes Walk with Life's an Adventure and all I can say it was amazing.
Day 1 trek was really good, the views spectacular, the lunch provided and location to eat was just perfect and then dinner at Restuarant 1830 at Port Authur was delicious and paired well with fabulous local wines.
Day 2 I was a little hesitant to do longer walk but with a little encouragement from oue group and guides did the longer option in wet and slippery conditions and all I can say is WOW I am so glad that I did. Again the scenery was unbelievable. Lunch again and the chosen spot to eat was good. Dinner that night was at our accommodation at Stewarts Bay lodge and was also great paired with so lovely local wine.
Day 3 our helicopter flight was cancelled so on the boat we went and it was awesome to see the capes from sea level.
Day 3 walk was hard but really good, lots of steps but so worth it.
Our guides Dave and Danny were the best, very informative with history, jokes and encouragement, the pop up Cafe (morning and afternoon teas) along the walks were really unexpected but both Kellie and myself were grateful. Lastly I really want to thank the guides as they also drove us to our accommodation and pointed us in the direction of pubs in our area so we could celebrate our achievement. We have been told we were the best group of the season so far. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation to our guides Danny and Dave, you guys rock.
Definitely recommend to do a guided walk for anyone who is entertaining the idea.

3 Capes Pack Free - Oh Wow!

I just completed this walk with my daughter to celebrate her 30th birthday. What an amazing experience to be had. Our guides Steve & Josh were wonderful & fun loving, encouraging us all the way. Their knowledge of the local areas we walked as well as information about Tassie in general was outstanding.

The walk itself was spectacular with many great photo opportunities to be had. We experienced one 35 degree day, one day with rain for the last 5k and plenty of beautiful sunshine, making this a fun & memorable experience.

Accomodation at night was very comfortable at Stewart’s Bay Lodge with exceptional top quality food and wines at restaurant 1830 plus at the lodge itself.

A visit to the Gin factory plus a helicopter or boat ride for those who wished - topping off a great “Life’s an Adventure” experience never to be forgotten.

Such an epic track! Huts are top notch and can’t speak highly enough of the park rangers at each cabin… they truely are the platinum finish. Great all round people who just really know their stuff!
Also a final shout out to the people who built the track, there is a serious amount of effort that went into it - just perfect!

We had a wonderful time doing this magnificent walk. 3 days of spectacular views, and an awesome rainforest experience. Our guides, Sakai and Jo, did a terrific job catering to the needs and wants of the entire group. The wilderness cruise gave us another different perspective of the massive Capes. The accomodation, food and wine were second to none. We would recommend this to any avid walkers, with a zeal for new experiences.

Having just completed the three day Three Capes Adventure - what a wonderful experience and such a welcome break away after two years without any interstate travel…

The scenery on the walks was spectacular, the weather perfect and the views were beautifully complemented with lots of wildlife…

And while the set up for the program is very well done - from the accomodation, to the walks themselves, the really magic of this particular tour were our two hosts, Dani and Talia - two legends who really understand their craft and how to set the tone perfectly for the twelve of us in our group.

Constantly armed with a smile and a factoid about the local wildlife, Dani and Talia made sure that everyone finished each day tired, but happy and with a real sense of achievement. The walks were the right amount of challenging for each of us, and they managed to bring a range of different abilities together in a way that we all left with new friends.

This was the first excursion with Life’s an Adventure for my wife and I, but it certainly won’t be our last.

You walk through the glistening, colourful rainforest, the velvet bench standing out like a needle in a haystack, like a fly on a carefully made white wedding cake. Motivated, your legs only just starting to hurt. You knew it would push your body.

This was my second time walking the Three Capes Track and it was just as fantastic as the first. The huts and cabins were stunning, the track is amazing and rangers were perfect. We saw so much wildlife, an echidna on the last day was a highlight, as was the swim in Fortescue Bay at the end of the hike. The freeze-dried vacuum packed food delivered to us at the airport by Ian from Three Capes Gear and Gourmet, was delicious. Thank you William at Surveyors, Annie at Munros and the new kid Jeff at Retakunna.shame Irish Vinnie in the office had run out of meat pies and lattes, next time

Highly recommend and commend "Life's an Adventure - the pack free walking experience" company to guide you through this amazing part of Tasmania. What an experience! Day one took us to Cape Raoul where we walked through the eucalypts to the plateau where we stopped for lunch to take in the view of the towering sea cliffs. Out further to the tip of the cape were spectacular views to Tasman And Bruny Islands and we caught sight of a seal colony at the base of Cape Raoul.
Overnight accommodation was at the wonderfully placed Stewart's Bay Lodge nestled amongst the trees not far from Port Arthur, where we were treated with a gourmet dinner at the restaurant (including wine).
Day two saw us head for Waterfall Bay (named after the 200meter waterfall that plunges into the sea) where we trekked to Fortescue Bay through the rainforest and undulating coastal topography. A 17km hike through various coastal habitats with gorgeous glimpses of the impressive geographical features and rocky outcrops. The walk ends at Fortescue Bay - a white sand, pristine inlet with a plethora of wildlife to encounter. The day ended with a sumptuous meal at the Stewart's Bay Lodge restaurant and a well earned spa in our lodge room.
Day three - relaxed start after a hearty breakfast and then a visit to Remarkable Cave. We were then treated to a helicopter flight over Cape Pillar and Tasman Island - Wow! To wind up the day a visit to the Lavender Farm for a wander through the fields and witness nature at its prettiest. After a sit down lunch we embarked on the challenge of Cape Huay - a well maintained track with sandstone steps to make the access out to the third pillar easily accessible. After reaching the tip it was time to head back to Hobart with our tour group - from welcoming strangers to becoming new friends, we were dropped off at the airport for our flights home.
Life's an Adventure - yep it surely was.

3 Capes Walk - wow! What an incredible adventure and definitely one for the bucket list! This is my 3rd tour with "Life's an Adventure" and this walk was an absolute stand out. The guides were incredibly informative - from Cape Raoul to Cape Hauy, the beautiful dinner at Port Arthur, the helicopter ride - amazing! I definitely could not fault. Around 'every corner' - the scenery was just more spectacular, and when the hiking was done we relaxed (and slept very well!) at the beautiful Stewart Bay Lodge.
Lifes an Adventure - best adventure ever! See you again very soon

There are two ways of doing this walk - with guides and “lodge” accommodation ($$$$), or self-guided and in cabins ($$). We did the latter. Either way, it’s highly worthwhile.
A few pointers:
Tassie has stringent quarantine. Be careful about bringing food in from interstate coz it might be confiscated at the airport.
The cabins are advertised as four person, but in fact there’s a big ventilation gap between each pair of cabins, so they are really cabins of eight and you will hear another group’s conversation - and snores. Snoring has obviously been an issue coz they have earplugs on hand at each campsite.
Otherwise, 10/10 for conception and execution.
PS I only counted two capes - Pillar and Hauy.

My friends and I recently completed the Three Capes Walk with Life’s an Adventure. What a fantastic experience!
We booked this trip based on the fact that we preferred not to carry our full packs. We only had our day packs which made the walking far more enjoyable. Added to this was the accommodation - we stayed at the lovely Stewarts Bay Lodge both nights, meaning we did not have to pack up each morning. Such a joy not to have to do this. You can wake up, go to breakfast and then just leave. The accommodation was very comfortable – apartment style with great views.
On top of this all meals are included, breakfast at the lodge, snacks and lunch along the walk and delicious 2 course meals with wine included each night! What a lovely way to finish the day, relaxing with new and old friends. The first night was at the restaurant at Port Arthur – looking out over this iconic setting, and the second night was at the lodge. The food was really delicious and you got to chose what you wanted to eat. Certainly not what you expect on a 3 day walk. We loved this.
Our guides were fabulous. We stopped frequently to look at the flora and fauna (and simply stunning views) along the walk. The guides were so knowledgeable about it all and answered all our questions. Our daily briefings and debriefs were such an integral part of the trip. Knowing in advance what was coming up the following day meant some of our fellow trekkers were able to decide if some of the steeper or stair-filled sections were best not to attempt. This meant that our guides had time to help craft an alternative experience for them so as they did not miss out on anything and could still enjoy all the area had to offer. We would then get together that night and exchange stories and photos. Having two guides really helped make this possible.
We finished the tour with a spectacular helicopter ride over Cape Pillar and Tasman Island. Due to the weather, we nearly didn’t get up (safety first) but it cleared at the last minute and we were treated to pristine views that just made this a once in a lifetime experience. To see these majestic cliffs from this view point was something really special. I really recommend this option. It was the best way to finish off a simply fabulous weekend.
We all decided that this was one of our favourite and most well organised walks we have done. I would highly recommend Life’s an Adventure’s Three Capes Walk. Such a great experience.

The service of this walk is utterly incredible. The views on the edge of the earth on the blade are just astonishing. Through that harsh long walks this hike is truly worth the walk. I strongly recommend this hike
