The Truffledore on Cradle Country Farm reviews
40Amazing location. The new visitor centre is brilliant and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable.
I cannot explain how lovely this place is to experience and stay! Ina and Timo were the best hosts, and took us all around their gorgeous farm, including with our dog, so she got to have a run around too! The food here is amazing, and all the small touches they put into their stay make it even better than we could have imagined! What a wonderful way to end our trip in Tassie, we can’t wait to come back during Truffle Season!
A must stop on the cradle to coast tasting trail! Ina and Tim are such welcoming hosts, and make sure you shake hands with Cody. We had a wonderful tasting with Ina sharing her knowledge on all things truffle and stayed for a goose egg omelette at Tim’s recommendation! The extra goose egg for breakfast the next day was an added bonus! Thanks so much for having us!
We enjoyed a beautiful experience here on a tour followed by a delicious 4 course meal (GF catered!)! The farm is stunning, tour very informative and the hosts Timothy and Ina are very welcoming. Thank you for having us!
Farmstay and truffle farm. Genial hosts Ina and Tim gave a great tour. Their café serves truffle dishes and they are very knowledgeable about food and cooking as well as truffle growing. Awesome experience!
Just enjoyed the truffle hunt and harvest followed by a four course meal. A wonderful experience featuring friendly and helpful hosts and genuinely delicious food. The atmosphere is relaxing. Cody the truffle dog is a welcome feature. The food was lovingly prepared leaving me feeling clean and content but wanting more! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tasmania.
What a fantastic tour we had with Ina.we got to see the lovely animals on the farm including their truffle hunting pup, we got an education in truffle farming both worldwide and in Australia, we tasted some amazing trufffle creme brulee and I would thoroughly recommend a visit to see them. Next time I would love to stay at their farmstay and enjoy the beauty of the area a bit longer! Thank you!
Very interesting and informative, looking forward to going back to see them harvest. I love my Truffle oil. Wow what a difference it makes to mushroom cabannarra. The atmosphere is very inviting. Should of not eaten before going. So many yummy foods I would have liked to try. Next time definitely.
Truffles, truffles everywhere. You need to visit and it's only the start of the season.very informative and excellent service. No pressure to buy after the tasting. Had a few items from the menu, fabulous! The croque toastie was one of the best I've tried. Frienndly dog to greet you and the freshest hazelnuts to be had.
Always a pleasure to catch up with Ina and Tim. As usual service and food delightful

The Truffledore is a must visit location in Tasmania. The hosts, Timmy and Ina are fantastic and super friendly - and we can't forget Cody, the friendliest dog around.
They have great knowledge of the onsite orchid, livestock and truffle farm.
I highly encourage you to book a few nights here to kick back and relax. If you don't have time to stay a few days, then the Truffle tour is fantastic, but you have to stay for a meal. This is not to be missed! But make sure you book ahead as it gets very busy, particularly during truffle season.
We can't recommend Truffledore enough!
Great service, very educational and informative too.
Definitely worth stopping in here on your trip.
The food was amazing. The service was outstanding the hosts made us feel like guests i n their own home.
Charming hosts made us feel welcome, the homestyle kitchen set the scene. The tastes were so good! My sons #1 tassie food experience.
It is an amazing place to live and I am so glad a lovely young couple are enjoying being there and I wish them every success.
Go walk around and experience the tranquility and the truffles of cause.
I will go back very soon.
Really liked this place. Brought truffle oil nd dry frezzed truffle. Very happy with what I got and Ina was very informative. Thank. Highly recommended
This is a wonderful B&B in the lower Barrington run by an amazing couple. Tim and Ina treated us like family. The food was brilliant and we would recommend it to Tassie travelers. Thanks for the stay.
We had a wonderful overnight stay in September. Ina and Tim are excellent hosts. Tim made me a vegetarian mushroom pasta - it was totally amazing and I got to help roll out and prepare the pasta. Ina’s truffle infused creme brûlée was next level! Totally delicious. Breakfast was also - I especially enjoyed the plum & Pinot jam! Yum! It was lovely walking around the beautiful grounds (there are even gum boots available in various sizes) and was great to get away from our hectic mainland city lifestyle. Thanks so much for having us.
Tim and Ina are both such amazing people and the best hosts that anyone could ask for! They were able to accommodate us even though we ran a couple hours late.and greeted us with such delicious food upon arrival. We stayed the night at the truffledore cottage and it was like a home away from home. Their attention to detail and Tim's cooking was just superb. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway stay in Cradle Country - 11/10!
A wonderful experience! Ina and Timothy are delightful hosts. The scenery is amazing. Adam and his truffle dog, Trigger were informative and a lot of fun. Timothy cooked us up a veritable feast showcasing the truffles and using locally grown produce. Cody the truffle pup-in-training entertained us with his "find the truffle" games.
We stayed the night in one of the cabins which was warm and comfortable and beautifully clean. In the morning we were trated to the most magnificient breakfast - using their own farm produce.
You won't regret staying at the Truffledore, whatever the season while you explore beautiful Cradle Country - do it!
