Great place to base ourselves for a few days and such welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were fantastic from Tim and really set us up for our days walking or Ina would do us a pack lunch. Nothing was too much trouble. Truly great! Thanks G&J

Lovely hosts, informative and will answer all questions. A small but a nice setup for our experience, as it's not crowded nor hustling and bustling like some other big commercials. Met Mr. Darcy on-site, 1 of 3 truffle dogs, such a calm and charming character, quietly welcoming all visitors. Love the garden bed, seems the right size to grow all essentials for cooking needs, a perfect example of farm to table. Would love to stay overnight when visiting Cradle Mt.the next time.

I must first apologise to everybody I’ve rated 5 stars in the past. Ina and Tim have reset the benchmark and you’ve been demoted. My whole family, including 4 legged member, fell in love with Truffeldore and it was a major highlight of our 3 week journey through Tasmania. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the breakfast scrumptious and the property itself a beautiful landscape of oak and fruit trees, poultry, cows, fields and a peaceful lake. Above all, however, in terms of making the stay an unforgettable experience, is the care and passion of Ina and Tim. Their love for the place is undeniable and infectious, from the freshly picked snap peas we were given to taste or the cherry plum tree carrying delicious fruit for the first time in years. Staying at Truffeldore provides an opportunity to share a lovely natural lifestyle, which is shared with great kindness by generous hosts. We can’t wait to go back!

We visited The Truffledore en route to Cradle Mountain during our 11 days stay in Tasmania in December… and how glad are we that we did! We were warmly welcomed by Tim who provided an incredibly generous and divine tasting experience. We were absolutely blown away by the truffle oil, dukkah, and jam – all made from their produce grown on the Truffledore farm. This is the real deal – the truffle oil was nothing like we had ever tried before. We also got to try Ina’s pistachio macarons – again, incredible! It was obvious that Tim and Ina are extremely passionate about their produce and providing visitors with such a lovely and genuine experience. Tim was so generous with his time and hospitality, and we didn’t need any convincing to purchase a selection of their produce. Tim and Ina also kindly arranged to have them shipped to us in Perth, Western Australia (which arrived safely). While we met some incredible people and had some fabulous produce during our stay in Tassie – this experience was truly a special one and we cannot recommend a visit to The Truffledore more highly. Five stars just does not do it justice, and don’t get me started on how lovely it was meeting the gorgeous Cody (four-legged babe and truffle hunter extraordinaire). Thanks again Tim and Ina – wishing you both all the very best. We look forward to visiting again (until then – we’ll have to indulge via your website) and we can't wait to meet your other two, four legged babes.

Five stars from the humans and five paws from the doggos! We booked both cabins for two couples and two puppers for four nights, and all six of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The accommodation is very comfortable, and the hospitality impeccable. Tim and Ina are fantastic hosts who genuinely care that their guests enjoy their stay, from individually prepared breakfasts, to local dog-friendly recommendations, to letting our dogs meet and run with theirs. We look forward to coming back during harvest season and learning more about the scientific art of truffles.

Such a great place to stay/enjoy.
One of our favourite parts of our honeymoon, we wish we stayed longer now.
The food, company, views and animals were all amazing. We will be back for sure!

If only I could give this experience a 10 stars out of 5! I am so thankful and grateful that I chose The Truffledore over the others as our first truffle hunting experience. 100% highly highly recommended! The entire hunting and dinning experience with Ina, Timo and Cody was the highlight of our 1 week Tasmania trip. What we loved about this experience was the geniune, kind, loving gestures from the owners of this small family truffle farm. The truffle hunting experience was very personalised, detailed, thorough and hands-on. Ina was extremely patient, knowledgeable and passionate with her truffles hunting tour guide with Cody. The food was AMAZING: freshly prepared by Tim, so authentic and absolutely DELICIOUS. We walked out so full and satisfied. Ina and Tim, you are both such incredibly kind, generous and loving souls. Your love for every single living creatures on the farm, for the nature, and for all the new people you meet is truly inspiring and phenomenal. Thank you for making our experience so memorable and unforgettable. Not only you got yourselves 2 loyal customers, but 2 lifelong friends! We will definitely be visiting your farm every time we visit Tassie!

For anyone that is wanting one of the best and most memorable experience, you need to come and visit The Truffledore. Both Tim and Ina were amazing hosts, I cannot speak more highly of them, the minute we arrived they made us feel so welcomed with their warmth and generosity. The truffle hunt experience was so memorable with Cody their truffle hunting dog who acted more like a little child always wanting hugs. Ina was so patient with Cody and all the guests and she was so generous with her knowledge! The lunch that was prepared by Tim and Ina was nothing short of spectacular. We have been all around the world to many of the worlds finest restaurants but the hospitality and the kindness and generousity given by Tim and Ina was unmatched, not to mention that the food was one of the best that we have ever had. If you do not come and visit this place you are truly missing out on something extremely special. We will make sure that we come back here everytime we are in Tasmania. 5 stars is not enough!

Ina and Tim were fantastic hosts. We loved everything about the day. Meal was delicious - Tim is an inspired chef. He is genuinely self-effacing and maintains that he just loves food. Ina made some lovely treats as well as leading the tour. Learnt a lot about truffles and met some lovely people. My daughter said it was the best day ever.

We had a late lunch here and ordered the truffle Mac and cheese and decadent truffle pizza. I recommend the Mac and cheese as it was really good and the chef’s signature dish! We had a lovely time talking with the owners and really enjoyed hearing about their recommendations in Tasmania and their food travels and cooking. Would recommend a visit here!

Seriously the best pizza I have ever had (and I've been to Italy twice!) All the fruit and veggies (and truffles) are grown on site and you can taste the freshness. The restaurant is so cosy and inviting and the owners are so lovely! We can't wait to come back and stay with them and go truffle hunting with their adorable dogs in the winter.:)

We loved all of the thought and love put in their food, restaurant and farm. Hands down the best Truffle Mac and Cheese and Truffle Creme Brulee! The owners Ina and Timo also made you feel really welcomed and was happy to share so much interesting information about truffle farming, the history of the place and themselves. Also the goodest of dogs to pat! Highly recommend a visit.

We arrived 30min before closing expecting not too do much more than have a look at the gift shop as we knew they were closing soon. To our suprise the owners offered a truffle tasting still, and we are so glad they did! We got a very informative rundown on the truffles and their farm and their beautiful truffle dog Cody! We then were able to order the truffle Mac n cheese and the truffle creme brulee. Both were sensational and being able to try the products in the meal really sold the value of their product. We got the truffle oil and truffle salt. So glad we made the stop to Truffledore. A must do for any foodie!

We had the best experience here! A must visit and taste location.
We were warmly welcomed by the owner, even through we were there early, and had a beautiful tasting of all the products. The flavours were outstanding and were able to purchase products to take home.
We found him to be very informative and even held the attention of my kids.
We were encouraged to look around and were made to feel at home. I only wished that we had booked to stay the night and I was in truffle hunt season. I would love to return.

Delicious! An absolute must for anyone visiting tassie. The owners were lovely people and give some wonderful insight into truffle growing.
