The Moorings @ Lady Franklin

Great atmosphere and excellent meals. A bit pricey but good quality and high standard. Staff were great, when I queried the quality of the cider there was no problem returning it and exchanging for it another. The owner cam back later and apologised that the cider was indeed off.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Meals are consistently delicious and filling, and staff do everything to ensure everyone has a good time. The view over the Franklin River is beautiful. Dad loves coming here for lunch and so do I.

Stayed in Dover for a long weekend and came here on the Sunday evening as it was one of the few places open in the area. Food was great and service even better, definitely recommend especially if you're a big group.

Went to the public bar. Fabulous customer service from the lady working - learnt my tastes and made me a gin cocktail. Thankyou, it was delicious. Lovely open fire to keep the place warm and a pool table.

Appauling

No service, we where the only people there. No one interested in taking our order. Waitress checking out wine for Pinot Grig I had to tell her it was in the fridge. My calamari ($35!) undercooked, no dressing on salad, tartare sauce yuk, horrible fries. Husbands steak over cooked.
If we are trying to sell the Huon valley I am seriously worried

Had the salmon on turkish bread without the capers and it was extremely tasty and very filling.

Fantastic experience! We had 3 kids which is never fun for a restaurant but the staff were so amazing and patient with us and the kids. Would highly recommend them. The food is amazing value and really delicious. Our favourite place to take visiting family. Thank you so much.

Food reasonable but service basic. When my soup was served the spoon was plopped directly into the soup rather than being placed beside the bowl.
