The Moonah Hotel reviews
45A mid town Moonah treasure. Great food, great atmosphere. And on this night - great entertainment
A friend and I had a countermeal here that was reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and obliging!
Extensive range of beers and ciders on tap, even a hot spiced cider, it was burger night so we could not turn down a $20 burger chips and beer (exceptional food value) the food was great, it's clean, modern and light.
Awesome service and tahlie was very friendly and she gave really amazing service and very helpful:)
We have been coming here every week since our first visit.
Can’t fault their service, food and great beer at affordable prices especially on a specials night.
I have eaten here a couple of times and have been happy with the parmy and steak I've ordered. Great selection of beers on tap, and the bottle shop has a huge range of craft beers on offer! One of my favourite places to stop into in Moonah
Basic pub food menu but done really well.chips were amazing.rich potato taste, cooked well.probably not the frozen ones.
Service was excellent. Staff so friendly and accomodating and really made a difference to our visit. Thank you! The meals were delicious and huge. Pricing good
Wife and I went to try the new Moonah hotel. This bar is a full hop bar. With little to choose from other than this. Staff were pretentious. Which seems to be the trend with hipster bars. With nothing to my liking from the tap, I ordered a local beer from their fridge. They seemed to be less then impressed with my choice. My can of local beer arrived warm. So warm in fact that it produced zero condensation on the glass. So we obviously didn't stick around for any more hipster ignorance. This pub needs work on their customer service and fridge temperature. This pup is not for us
Good solid pub with top class service.
Big thanks the fella behind the bar, I think his name was Andy? Super friendly, made everyone in my group feel welcome.
Will be back.
Quite expensive for Moonah and the food isn't that great.dont really understand how a plain schnitzel isn't included in the Wendesday parmy meal, server was a bit direct
We sat on the patio, and it was such a friendly place to be. The children could run around and play while the adults ate. No one seemed disturbed by their antics! The food was fabulous, and much more reasonably priced than I had been led to believe.

Great weekly special. $22 parmigiana, salad and chips plus willy Smith's cider, beer or house wine. Generous servings, efficient staff and three options of seating. Bring your friends, family and hunger. Book to ensure you get a spot. Honest food and great value.
I mean what can you say. This is what I want from my pub experience. Fantastic food, family friendly interesting rotating beers and specials but still the footy or basketball on in an area, if that's your thing.
The bottleshop attached is simple a stunner. Can't fault the place and I travel to this place whenever I can.
Friendly staff and wood fires going on a cold day with lovely food. The Beetroot soup was super delicious as was the Calimari and reasonably priced. Came back and had a hot toddy with Bourbon and the house cut chips! Awesome with mushroom gravy.
Loved the eggplant parmi the first time, came back for it a second time and also had the raspberry cocktail, beautifully made.
A fantastic selection of beers on tap and in the adjoining bottleshop. Especially loved the Infernal Agreement stout.
Chicken parmy exceeded expectations, both in size and quality.
Unfortunately only 4 stars due to being served a full-strength gluten-free IPA when asking for a non-alcoholic beer.
You wont find your staple drinks here but they have a cracking craft beer selection and some very expensive wines.
I didn't really enjoy dining here, the battered fish was nice, the chips were horrid and the mushy peas were colder than the tartare sauce. Seen the dish go out to other tables and thought that it was going to be a huge meal, but it was an all in one dish, with chips in the corner, fish in the other and salad and sauce in rest. The staff seemed to be a little confused and were checking people's orders table by table. You cannot buy can mixes as in jack or Jim as they don't sell.
