The Exchange Hotel

This hotel is charming with a beautiful Huon pine staircase and comfortable lounge bar to relax in after a long day of site seeing. We had the two bedroom apartment and it was grand with 2 queen bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen and tv/lounge room.
It was extremely quiet, spacious, super comfy, spotless and private. Nothing was forgotten and we didn’t want for anything. The special touches and attention to detail are unexpected in an historic hotel but this isn’t just any hotel. It’s got the Gavin touch.
Gavin looked after us so well and was knowledgeable about the local places to visit. Situated an easy half an hour from Launceston we were kept busy with so much to see and do. Don’t miss the little penguins at Low Head only a short drive away.
The location is very central to the Tamar River and wineries.
We stayed 4 nights but could have stayed 4 weeks! Maybe I will next time.
We would like to wish Gavin all the best with his hotel venture and I can’t wait to come back again.

WOW what a difference the new owners have made to his historic hotel. Gavin & Tom were very welcoming. Spotlessly clean with luxury linen & towels. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We can highly recommend this accommodation and we will be back soon. Sandra & Mick.
