The Brunswick Hotel reviews
29Excellent lunch time meals and if you're from Launceston they have Boags red on tap. Which is awesome!
Great accommodation love the alley pub setting
Had 40 gallon fire drum burning all night
Food and drinks chef and staff A+
5 stars. A great Aussie pub. Food was AMAZING. Best Parmi around. Fireplace. Beautiful old building with on theme decor. Worthy.
Good location, big space inside and cool interior with a fireplace too! Staffs are really friendly and attentive. They have cool selection for Parmy! Everything taste good. The local tap beers are a bit more expensive that the usual in your regular pubs. But by far, ine of the good schnitzel pub place in Hobart, I think.
Temporarily Closed####
One of the oldest place in hobart. Located in the center of the CBD. Popular for social or corporate gatherings. It has got a bar with bistro. In addition it has got the facility for staying for the guest. There is live music in the pub as well. Unfortunately the hotel is closed temporarily now due to burning on fire.
Not the best experience unfortunately. Meals came out after nearly an hour and a half, and fifty minutes after all the others on our table who ordered at the same time. No "sorry about that! We forgot about your meal, please let us make it up to you", just some lame excuse about the way the orders work! We watched order after order - who were after ours - come out. If you mess up, don't make an excuse, just apologise and put it right.
FYI if you like a bit of fish with your batter, get the fish and chips. Barely any fish in there! Parmy was ok.
Excellent meal, large portions large variety of chicken parmigiana different toppings, staff were fantastic and so friendly
We stayed here in the delux room, it was ok, no hair wash only soap and a little noisy but it is what it is a hotel above a pub, it was clean and affordable
The staff was friendly and it's a good atmosphere. I was very disappointed in my meal. I got the 200 g fillet mignon and my wife got the lamb rump. The meat was overcooked and tasted like mince.
Decent pub. Good beers on tap, standard pub menu, and lots of screens out the back for the sport. On weekends likely a bloke in the corner playing acoustic covers at a level that is just enough to make it hard to have a conversation with the person next to you.
Clean, open, wheelchair friendly, well heated outdoor, Cold Beer. Proudly run Pub may I say. I will be going back
The Brunswick Hotel.
Visited on a saturday night for dinner, kitchen closes at 9pm, we had been to a sports match, so we only just got in - a common problem in Hobart!
I had squid which was ok.
Well heated, live singer who was good.
Beds were low standard, air con was hard to stabilize and took a long time to heat the room. No stairs for bunk bed. No bench or storage in bathroom. Good quality room for a back packers. Good location for the hotel. Free wifi available. Shower was good. Good staff service, very welcoming and good explanation of all procedures. Parking is available outside, very limited and paid between 8.30am and 4pm
Great accommodation for price, location excellent, staff friendly and accommodating, beers cold, chef was amazing at changing the menu to suit me.
Genuinely surprised. Went for an average pub meal and ended up with a pretty darn good feed. Was much more done up than your average pub and the food was delicious with a good selection. Portions were very reasonable too. Staff were very friendly and only too happy to seat us even though we had no reservation for dining area. Highly recommended for a night out.
Visited for a work dinner and was very impressed by the food. The place has a great atmosphere and is very conveniently located in the CBD. I was disapointed though later. I phoned to book a table for another night and was instead given an email to enquire through. It was days before I received a response confirming I had a table, but by then I had already booked another venue. Would happily visit again though.
As far as hostels go, pretty average, but as far as hotels go, pretty below average. The best part is the proximity to the water and most other points of interest around the Hobart region.
The kitchen was closing just as I walked in, the bar staff had a quick word with the kitchen and they whipped up a feed! It is a nice bar, good setting and great atmosphere, staff are very friendly and attentive
Great pub with good tucker. Busy as so book if you want a seat. Great atmosphere enjoyed by the nine to fivers.
Food was good. The variety of parmies is great and they aren't stupidly huge. Seems to be a smaller selection of drinks compared to some pubs.
