The Agrarian Kitchen Eatery reviews
57 The Agrarian Kitchen Eatery has been on my list for quite some time, particularly after dropping into the kiosk last year, when i sampled some of the best cake and pastry i have ever eaten.
The entire experience from start to finish was delightful and i would recommend it to anyone who appreciates local, fresh produce and contemporary culinary culture.
Each dish celebrated Tasmanian produce, most of which was grown at the farm or the local area. The drink pairings were unique and matched really well with each course. The service was well polished yet still jovial, tying the whole experience together into a lovely afternoon I won't forget.
Thank you for celebrating all the things i love about Tasmania.
The food was amazing and so was the service. The thought and detail that went into every dish was greatly appreciated. Well done!
Fantastic meal and service. Highly recommend a visit! Definitely memorable for us we enjoyed every aspect.
Absolutely divine. Each plate was soo well thought out and heroes local produce so well. That lunch experience was one for the books.
The Agrarian Kitchen is definitely a must visit when you’re in Hobart. Exemplary dining and astounding execution on every dish that is brought to our table. You will truly experience the authenticity of the seasonal produce. Fresh, simple, yet very innovative.
Staff were excellent and friendly.
All food interesting and great quality.
One complaint, $40 for one sausage, really. $120 for a small leg of lamb.
Not your average restaurant. Has fresh local food. Everything is healthy, and can be items you have never seen on a menu before. It is an ideal place to go with a group as they specialise in tastings. Is pleasant for one person, but you do not get the full experience. Staff are very courteous and professional. Prices are what you expect for an above average eatery. Alcohol is reasonably priced.
5 stars doesn’t do this place justice. This is one of the finest meals I’ve had in a long time. Service was impeccable, interior well thought out and the food was absolute next level. Loved every moment of it. Menu changes every week so you’ll always be in for a seasonal treat. Thanks for a great meal team!
Food was overpriced, some dishes outstanding others a little ordinary. Not sure what all the hype is about, will visit again perhaps I missed something. Well worth a visit but felt offended about being asked for a tip at the end. With the prices charged perhaps they should pay their staff adequately. Table staff were very good which is what you should expect isn't it.
Wonderful selection of predominantly vegetarian dishes. The farmer's cheese dumpling was a highlight.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was different, but it all worked incredibly well together. The staff were really informative and helpful and the overall tone of the place was relaxed. The Morcón dish and the mussel butter pasta were exceptional!
Fantastic meal showcasing the very best of Tasmanian produce. Service impeccable and warm. A stand out in a trip full of delicious meals.
Unexpectedly good food and a hidden Tassie gem! The service was top notch with very knowledgeable staff!
Insider tip: must try the deserts, especially the leftover bread ice cream, the pavlova, doughnuts!
Definitely worth the drive and do book in advance!
Second visit to this wonderful eatery, Simply outstanding food and service with an amazing relationship between the menu and the surrounding lands. Cannot wait for my next visit!
I've wanted to visit Agrarian Kitchen since my mum moved to Tasmania a year ago. Today we went for a drive, and I was surprised with a lunch here! We ordered the slow cooked mutton, and whilst we waited we enjoyed the polenta with octopus (careful, it's got a kick!), & the burrata. YUM!
Didn't think we had room for desert, but SO glad we ordered the Meyer lemon clafoutis with licorice ice cream. Wowzers!
I rather like the simplicity of the place and the service is excellent.
I did find the food a little disappointing and underwhelming and left feeling confused about the reviews I had read.
Words like amazing and fabulous are used but I just didn’t get that experience.
Amazing food! Got the feed me option, very happy to take into consideration dietary requirement. Go for the desert option with feed me not the extra savoury course. Good non alcoholic beverage selection and fantastic service.
Fantastic food, though some of it is a bit overpriced. It's local produce so the menu is limited, which is to be expected. The service is really great, too. The place was really busy so we couldn't be seated until 2.30 so we wandered around the local area. It was nice that the kitchen was still fully operational at that late a time and we didn't feel like we were getting pushed out the door. Highly recommended.
Fantastic interior design. Modern but not cosy. Excellent staff. Good explanation of food. Seafood allergy immediately tended to though it did limit my choices on an already limited menu. Meals were unique, tasty & well presented. Dessert was fantastic though for $19 some may pass on this course.
Great food. Great wine. Amazing experience. Great for share or single. Highly recommended to all!
