Went in for a for a ‘quick’ tasting of local gin -and came away obsessed with Tassy Gin! I was greeted by Shaun in the Devonport store who ‘tutored’ not only in various gins available, but how to mix and garnish them I.e pour some Queen Bee Honey Gin over a generous amount of ice, then pour in sparkling water with a dash of Tassy Tonic Honey Syrup and top with slice of honeycomb! As I was travelling in a camper van I was worried how I would get my purchases home - but I need not have as they will post them for you.
I received my little parcel today - the tracking was faultless and packaging was done with such great care that breakages were impossible. It has arrived 3 days after my birthday and I happen to have people coming over - so Honey Gin mixes are on the menu. Thanks again Shaun, I will definitely purchasing from the store again!

This is the best Doughnuts I’ve ever had in Tasmania. Wish if they were open everyday. Coffers are lovely and the hot chocolate is exceptional

What a beautiful building. And inside has to be seen to be believed. Stunning. Food and drink from each very corner of Tassie.

I had an excellent coffee, beautiful donut before walking away with a souvenir of Hobart whisky.

Highly recommended.

What a great example of how to showcase the best that this part of Tasmania has to offer. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, excellent food and wine. Top marks!

I love this place! Such a great vibe. The layout and styling of the cafe gives such a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
The food and drinks are presented beautifully. And everything tasted delicious. A must visit while in Tasmania. In Sassafras area.

The exact kind of place you dont expect here. A PIANO HOUSE!
Very sophisticated food in the middle of "nowhere". I have recommended to many people.

Great experience this place with a large group! The platter was absolutely huge and we all loved the venison salami, selections of cheese and cured Salmon on offer. Everyone appreciated the decor with lots of windows and plants and having someone play the piano during lunch was just amazing!

Only wish the service was a bit friendlier and welcoming and would have been perfect if there was an additional a la carte menu.

Also, the options of sparkling wine by the bottle are extremely limited (only 3 options)

The location is Serene and immediately sets a relaxing vibe. The Platter was generously served and amazingly presented. One staff in particular came across as a bit agitated throughout the afternoon but the other staff made up for it.
I would like to go back to try their lunch menu some time soon.

The most amazing platters of Tasmanian produce. The vegan platter was great and the hand cut chips were some of the best we've ever eaten.

Absolutley love this little gem and you will too.
It is apart of the tasting trail, serving Tasmanian produce, it is such a cute little boutique place in a Conservatory style building. Great place

Thank you so much to Brielle, Vonda and team! You made having our wedding here so easy to organise, the day was everything we had hoped for and more!
Food selection, drinks menu and service are second to none, the cake was spectacular (there were many of our guests who had second and third helpings).
Thank you again for everything, we can’t recommend the Tasmanian Food & Wine Conservatory highly enough for everyday dining and especially for special occasions.

Extremely expensive for what you get.please be a little more generous if you are going to charge that much. The food itself was good, however since there was very little bread or crackers supplied to consume the relishes, we had no opportunity to finish them. Was not about to pay for more bread as suggested on the menu. Sorry will not return or recommend.

A lovely atmosphere, and the food was pretty good (locally sourced and all that good stuff) but the portion sizes are tiny and terribly overpriced.

The $12 foccacia turned out to be 4 narrow slices of foccacia with a modest amount of some sort of cheese at the end of the plate.

The $35 pp platter (minimum 2 people) had barely enough food for lunch for one person, let alone two people. I left $35 out of pocket and hungry.

Also, and this is not a criticism, there were a lot of spiders around when we went (January), both inside and out. Not much can be done about that, given all the plants around the dining area, but it's worth being aware of if you have a phobia.

OK. So we came here on the recommendation of friends. The first thing that struck me was that they had no disabled parking. Admittedly the car park is outside the building and the distance to the door is short, but I'm paraplegic and it's not the distance to the door but the ability to open my doors wide that is really important to me.

On entering the place it looked fabulous. I was really taken by the look of the dining room. The menu was was not extensive but looked interesting. If you are into platters then your in for a treat. If not, then your out of luck. My wife and son were out of luck. We tried looking at a menu on their website but they don't publish one. Only "local food in season" which in our case meant cheese, dips and deli goods. All of which I'm in favour of.

However the portions are a bit small and a platter for two doesn't really feed two men and we had three hungry men and an equally hungry woman. We had two platters, chips, foccacia and no one walked away full. It was tasty and interesting and insufficient for an appetite after a 3 hour drive to get there. That's what made it disappointing for me.

And then there was the loo. One only, unisex and as a paraplegic I opted to take the chance and head down the road rather than use it.

Unreal spot which is one of the highlights of the drive in the north. Highly recommend stopping. Watch the signs though it comes up on you quickly. If you miss it, turn around and go back!

A very beautiful place that serves locally sourced products and homemade pickles. Excellent services and team members. Remember to make a booking before your visit.

Was lovely! Very nice atmosphere with so many indoor plants. Food was good, the Tamar platter was yummy especially the triple brie truffle cheese.

Only giving it 4 stars as the menu wasn't very clear and it said platter minimum 2 people with a price, wasn't very clear that was the price per person, so when they charged it was a lot higher. Drinks were pricey too.
But was a nice setting and yummy food. 4 stars

Platter is okay but over priced. We did not look at the price list closely enough, thought the platter was $40 but realised upon paying $40 per person. Waiter brought me my cold $13.50 stubby of beer along with a hot glass (fresh out of the dishwasher). When I asked for a chilled glass, they gave me one at room temperature. Also, don't expect much table service if you want to sit outside. A little noisy as it is right on the highway. Otherwise, the drive out there was nice.
