Tasmania Golf Club reviews
43I have always enjoyed the food at the Golf Club restaurant (especially the chips and gravy!), and the staff have always been lovely. However, a recent dinner with friends would not have been as pleasant, except for the amazing service I received that night. They went over and above; and for that reason I am giving them this rating. Well deserved guys. For that kind of service I will keep coming back
Pretty good feed, good menu and reasonably priced. Probably not the best place to bring young kids, not a great deal for them to do. Except colouring in.
We attended this venue for a wedding and it was just beautiful, staff were friendly and prompt. Place was clean and the food was divine. Would definitely recommend.
The golf Pro's are awesome. OK, one of them is our son and we may be biased. Seriously, they can really improve your swing and correct those bad yips, shanks and hooks. Though I do consider it a skill to be able to do all three in one swing. Maybe not what we were going for! Thanks for always making us feel welcome in the store when we come to hassle Scott.
The location is magnificent. The course is challenging. The course is worth playing. It is weather exposed.
The first time I had a plant based meal at this golf club I ordered a vegie burger. I got a tasty black bean burger on a bed of rosti with roasted veg and tofu and a lovely dressing. Best ever. However I ordered the same again this week looking forward to a delicious meal but not to be.
What I got was what looked like a thin potatoe cake (just guessing) in a bread roll with a bit of lettuce. So glad I asked for chips as well or I would have left there rather hungry.
Have ticked this place off my list of where to take visitors. Such a shame being such a nice view.
A tough course but if you play straight you'll be fine. Food service is good. Drinks are refreshing
The location is perfect for a golf course with sweeping views and delightful holes that range from coastal to bushland. The course was in good condition and the facilities very good. The food available was limited but nice and sufficient for a quick snack. The coffee was OK and the pro shop staff very helpful.
It was excellent all round. The view, the staff, the food and the decor were all superb. A lovely venue for lunch.
Very tasty, good sized meals. Great chips. And super scrumptious basic deserts. Good pricing. And really friendly staff
Fantastic little spot this. Good sized meal and an assortment of tassies finest on tap. A real hole in one!
Ladies evening get together during covid 19 distance dining. Staff were friendly and courteous dining area well presented.
Food very nice and a bonus with small sized meals if desired.
Not fine dining but definately reasonably priced and plentiful.
Really impressed with the food at the goof club. Best golf course in South of the state as well!
Looked like a typical Tazzy Nine Hole Golf Course. Small greens, lush green fairways and great views. $20 for 9 holes. Very nice course to play.
The meals on the whole were good although tha apple and rhubarb crumble was barely lukewarm. The service was polite but on the slow side.
View was incredible as ive been told, atmosphere was lively and vibrant and food was delicious.
My only two complaints was 2/3 waitresses serving us were grumpy and quite hostile towards my table and a few of us received a few creepy paranormal/haunting experiences in the bathroom and with a self portrait painting in paticular.
Nope, not impressed. To the Tasmanian, Guys the course is in a real state. Not sure if it always looks like this but it’s bad. I will elaborate. I’ll start with the club house. The restaurant is good, but that’s it. Cleaner needs to be sacked ASAP and someone hired who actually cares what the place smells and looks like. The fairways are in need of repair, so many divots both repaired and unrepaired. The rough was just that. Very very rough. If you can’t be bothered to even clean up around the removed tress. Why remove them. All it
Would take is a month of serious on all the holes and roughs and it would look spectacular. As it is, it’s like the cut the fairways out of the bush and just left them. The greens, they would be ok. If someone knew how to install a hole. Almost all the holes were lifted as was the green. Trying to get a clean putt away, just wasn’t possible. You had to hit it to hard or to soft to avoid the turns.
So much potential, maybe under someone else’s watch.
Fantastic meals at Hobart at the Tasmania Golf Course
Having tried many restaurants in Hobart over the last 7 days our small group of six enjoyed a lunch and then later that night a great dinner.
There were good specials but their standard menu was excellent and beautifully prepared.
The seafood marinara was the best ever but the varied options were also attractive and of a high chef standard.
The manger (Gerard) and staff were very attentive and presented the meals fresh from the kitchen.
Yummy meals like lamb cutlets and gnocchi across the board catered for anybody.
Sadly we leave Hobart tomorrow. The Tasmanian golf course near the airport is a must restaurant to enjoy.
Absolutely loved my round of golf, the stunning views alone make it worthwhile but the layout is also excellent with some memorable holes throughout. There’s carts & clubs hire, the pro shop is well stocked & the clubhouse offers a nice look out over the course & surrounds.
Lovely coffee. Great staff. Good variety in menu. We went to view local art exhibition. Very impressive! Nice dining area with lovely views over the golf greens.
