One of the best food experiences I have had in Hobart. Wonderful food, matched perfectly with stunning wines combined with impeccable service.

This business accidentally added my email address to a different customer’s account. I’ve received the customer’s full name, address, and some credit card details. I also get notified of their online orders. In spite of writing this business several times, they don’t seem able to update (or are just not interested in updating) their records. Buyer beware I guess?

Great people and great wine, especially sparkling ones and pinot noir. Couldn't ask for a better explanation of the wines and production process. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience tasting wine at this beautiful winery. The wines were pricey but worth the penny!

We enjoyed the wine tasting very much but were disappointed with the lunch (too expensive for what it was).

We had lunch and also did wine tasting here. Wine tasting was great - 6 wines to choose and free of charge if you buy a bottle. Wines are relatively pricey (average $60-70), but they are of good quality. You can only buy few of them from local liquor stores. We bought Stefano Lubiana Pinot Noir which was very good.

We had lunch booked on Saturday and they only had course meal option (4-5 small entrees, 1 pasta, 1 main, 2 sides and 1 dessert) for $85pp. Took about 2 hours to finish, and the portion was quite good. We don't eat lamb, so they changed to fish which was a bit bland but was still a good piece fish. Make sure to ask for a table by the window with a view, as the winery is up on the hill. Lovely staffs and we had a great last meal in Tasmania:) Highly recommended!

Stefano Lubiana was high on our list during our stay in Hobart. It was a beautiful drive only a 25 minutes from the city centre.

As you walk in you can see why it's a popular destination. The views are absolutely beautiful overlooking mountains and the Derwent river.

The estate itself has a romantic Tuscan setting with little chickens roaming around and their resident doggy called Jaffa. He's so cute!

I didn't know until we got there but they are Tasmania’s first and only certified biodynamic vineyard, and have been using biodynamic methods since 2010, and have won many awards since.

The wine was absolutely delicious and we even bought a few bottles to take home.

We had an amazing lunch there at Osteria Vista (which I will write in a seperate review) and would highly recommend booking ahead as it is very popular.

This place is a must visit while in Tassie!

Lovely place. Great setting. Very lovely and drinkable wines.
We did not eat there so I can’t comment on the food, but the restaurant looked lovely

Amazing vineyard and winery with a beautiful range of both red and white wines that we couldn't get enough of as well as a beautiful view over the Derwent river.

Nanno (who did our tastings) and Rubin (who looked after us at lunch) were both incredibly knowledgable, friendly and delivered amazing service.

The lunch at Osteria Vista was incredible. Simple yet elegant and delicious Italian dishes which were perfectly paired with a range of Stefano Lubiana wines. Can't recommend Stefano's enough.

Italy comes to Tasmania, a brilliant luncheon with paired wines, engaging staff and beautiful views. Excellent value and an easy drive from Hobart.

As a Tasmanian Business owner, I’ve been eager for tourism to return to our island and boost our economy.
Yesterday I experienced the complete opposite approach at this 'so called’ reputable establishment.
Wanting to showcase our hospitality industry to visiting friends, our party of 5 waited to be acknowledge at the door for some time before I sought out a staff member to ask if we could sit outside. Apparently this request earned us a reputation for being difficult before we were even seated.
While attempting to order, the staff ignored us for a considerable time which I accepted as part of the staffing shortage.

However when a $50 ‘Cheese Board’ was causally dropped at our table in cheap takeaway containers (photographed), absolutely no plates and one disposable fork between 5 people, it was time to speak up. This was advertised as a cheese board and it was the furthest thing from it.
When I pointed this out to the manager she stopped me in my tracks and told me that she "didn't like my attitude and that we should leave". We were all very taken aback seeing all we were requesting was what we paid for and simply a few PLATES TO EAT FROM. Shocked by her rudeness, we agreed to leave and accepted our refund.

Here's were things went really South. During the refund process the manager who I believe was part of the family business began to cry while berating me. I was puzzled by her reaction but also don’t like seeing anyone cry so tried to calm her but she continued to do so while becoming more aggravated, highly emotional and loud enough for other patrons to notice. I believe she used this emotional drama as an attempt to embarrass us, however it was the most unprofessional exchange I have ever experienced, and I have been in business for 30 years. My guests were really upset by this and chose to wait outside.

A Cheese platter it takeaway containers at $50 is not acceptable.
Telling a customer they don’t like their attitude when they are requesting plates to eat from is not acceptable.
A manager on duty crying repeatedly while arguing is not acceptable.

If we are to economically recover as a state from the effects of the pandemic, the minimal standard of service needs to be delivered. This fell far short.

Absolutely brilliant! Everything about this place is fantastic. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and a joy to deal with on every level. The surroundings are lovely and the food is terrific. I'm so glad I'm a local and I can go back again.

Coffee and wine was good but service was poor and put me off ordering more. Lady who greeted us was rude and didn’t seem to care and I heard her speaking rudely to other customers also. We went to some other vineyards today and I would recommend going to Derwent Estate Winery instead of here which is just around the corner from these guys.

We celebrated my 40th birthday here for lunch while on holidays from Adelaide. Everything is just perfect. The building and outdoor sitting area are comfortable. The food and wine was just amazing. Service was friendly and always ready but not obtrusive - and there is a beautiful Kelpie to keep you company if you like. Loved our visit!

One of the loveliest places on my trip. Stunning location, excellent wines, the staff are exemplary, friendly, and lovely people. The food was SPOT ON. I didn't need to season anything, the focus on simple, well executed food of organic, biodynamic and house grown origin is fantastic. Had the cucumbers and straciatella, beetroot with lentils and goats curd, mushroom bruschetta, and the amazing Gruyere and onion tart, followed by a perfectly cooked blue eye trevalla. The lemon verbena pannacotta was delicately zingy but the gluten free pear cake was a show stopper. The wine tastings are generous and informed for $5 p.p for 6 varietals. The limited nature of availability of some of these small batch vintages means you should buy unless you delay and be disappointed. The drive to and from the venue is also picturesque. Go on and try it!
