Secret Buddha Café reviews
53I had a delightful experience at the Secret Buddha cafe in Burnie! The beautiful outdoor dining area provided a tranquil setting, and the fact that it's dog-friendly made it even more inviting. The service was impeccable, and the food surpassed expectations. Additionally, the proximity to the Plants Plus nursery adds a charming touch, creating a perfect blend of nature and relaxation. Highly recommended for a serene and enjoyable dining experience.
I'm always busy and end up ordering take away every day because I have so little time. Over time I must have tried almost every food place in Burnie and I've come to the following conclusion: Secret Buddha Cafe is the best by a large margin.
I say this for a many reasons. Often with these food places you may find an item you like but the next time you order it you'll receive something that's made poorly and tastes disgusting. Some of the best food places kill their potential because they lack consistency. Secret Buddha Cafe has never done that to me. Not once.
Then there is the care for the menu itself. Everything seems to be put together with an insane level of quality. For example, picture a typical burger at a food place. Quite often you'll get sad, discoloured greens in the burger that are soft and look half-dead. As if the act of ticking boxes to make the burger is all that's required. But at secret buddha everything looks fresh and crispy.
Finally, I've found that it's common for food places to offer many items but only do well on a few of them. At secret buddha they nail every single dish every time. Who ever is running this place must really know food. I have discovered many items on their menu I didn't think I'd enjoy yet they're all exceptional. It's hard for me to recommend a dish from this place as I seem to enjoy all of them.
Lovely cafe, great food with a nice relaxing atmosphere and it's on the same property as a great nursery and a large shop.
Cold, noisy and unclean. Extremely long wait to be served, and with only a few people there was odd. The dirty Menu's on scrap paper were off-putting. Coffee tasted like watery plunger coffee and undrinkable, but we were still charged for them. Asked for music to be turned down due to noise which waitress seemed annoyed about and even then, as the only people inside the noise, banging, crashing made it intolerable to stay. Customer service, what little there was, was not pleasant, and we felt we were in the way by being there. The food was average and nothing exceptional that warranted the price. Will not be returning.
Visited the Secret Buddha Cafe for the first time and was absolutely blown away by the experience! The ambiance is serene and inviting, reminiscent of a tranquil oasis. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes. The staff were attentive, friendly, and ensured we had a memorable dining experience. A hidden gem in Burnie that I'll definitely be revisiting soon. Highly recommend!
Went and got some take away coffees today and they were fantastic. Great coffee and atmosphere. Also dog friendly
I’ve been a regular here for the past few months due to its close location and variety of food options. I usually order home delivery through DoorDash. While the coffee has always been great, the food has been inconsistent. My patience ran out when I was served a raw $30 hamburger. For those prices, the quality should be much better. Unfortunately, I won’t be dining here again.
Nice standard cafe.
Breakfast menu is better than the lunch menu. Not usually busy.
Dogs are allowed and have a section on the menu.
Convenient parking and the best part is it being located at the nursery.
Been around for years, popular place with locals, many vegetarian options.
Puppy friendly outdoors dining.
Outside is looking very tired, needs a good tidy up and freshen up. Pressure wash etc. New owners now so hope this happens.
Staff very friendly and attentive.
Wheelchair friendly outdoors.
Nursery next door has walk through gift shop too.
The service was dissapointing as they are under staffed or they are just not well organised.
Had lunch here and food was great. My daughter loved the baked pumpkin meal. Coffee was great. Only concern is cleanliness of kitchen as it looked like the roof and air cond was caked with grease/dust above the food prep area.
Pretty good. Food looks better than it tastes but the coffee was really good.
Pankakes were super fluffy except for one of them which was odd. Like the grabbed some really old pancake and put fresh ones of top. So the last pancake basically ruined the experience for my guest.
The burger I had was presented well and looked great but seems a bit off. I had the squirts afterwards when I got home so I'm thinking something was bad.
Coffee was barely warm and ice coffee was undrinkable - something was off, 3 stars was for the food and okay service, not like it used to be, pity, great location
Good coffee, nice place in the plant nursery, fun for kids to explore, duckies, food is usually good, the pancakes have been disappointing lately.
Cute little set up, but. Service horrible.
Table for 3, we had to clear our table ourselves. A number of staff walked past and looked at the mountain of dishes we stacked to the end, but no one attempted to take them.
No smiles.
Food average at best.
Not the first disappointing experience. Makes it hard to give it another go.
Beautiful delicious meals and drinks, great menu, relaxing atmosphere, great service and friendly staff.
Will be back again!
Bought a blueberry muffin and a cappuccino and chai latte. Asked for the hot drinks to be extra hot as I had to go to the hospital. Upon arrival they were on the cool side, barely warm. The muffin? Hard as a rock and ended up in the bin. I’m not fussy but it was so old I doubt my chickens would have eaten it.update: I got home and went to give it to the chickens and it actually had mould in it!
Gorgeous little oasis with delicious food. Love that it is dog friendly, our two enjoyed a treat and a puppacino!
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, accommodating and good food. The coffee is great too! Highly recommend
Always a lovely place to go. Staff are wonderful, food and drinks are great. The dog loves it too!
