Sandy Bay Beach Wood fired Pizza reviews
34Their pizzas have lots of toppings and you can order two different flavors in one large pizza. However the pizzas now taste okay but not amazing. Been here 2 years before on a trip and they used to be better.
They said it was going to be 30 Minutes but took more than a hour. Ordered a Large Pizza which was $23. Pizza was salty, no flavour and completely dreadful. You could nearly get the same size Pizza for $5 in Dominos with more flavour and something that actually tastes good. Never coming back again.
I have been buying pizza here for years now and it has always been reliable. However, the last 2 times I have bought here myself and the rest of my family have been quite disappointed. We always have ordered the Pepperoni and Village Supreme pizza but these last two times haven't been the same as the past few years. Not sure if they have changed their recipes or something?
Delicious pizza. Had the soy cheese on both and they were beautiful. Awesome for for herbivores- Perfect comfort food for these cold lockdown nights.
Had heard really good things about the place but we ordered 3 takeaway pizzas (garlic prawn / pepperoni / bbq chicken). The toppings themselves were of good quality but the base was really undercooked and doughy. The prawn pizza was really bland, even though it has generous toppings. Similarly, the sauce on the other two pizzas was also bland but the real leat down was the undercooked base - no crust at all. I do hope this was a one time thing and not their usual style.
Have experienced these Pizzas many times over the last 3 years. The service is always friendly and the the food is amazing. Loceted with a carpark out the front and right next to the beach, they cannot do wrong! Great experiences every time
3 yrs ago we visited here during our trip to Hobart. The pizza was so great that we never forgot, and decided to come back this trip. What a disappointment it was tonight. Whilst the BBQ chicken pizza was passable, the vegetarian pizza with semi-dried tomatoes, olives and mozzarella cheese was something out of a horror movie. There was hardly any cheese on the undercooked base and the semi-dried tomatoes were just bits of extremely burnt black things. When I asked the girl taking orders/handing out pizza to customers, if the tomatoes were meant to be this burnt, she rudely replied that semi-dried tomatoes are not burnt, and that they are normally black in colour. Last time I checked, tomatoes are red lol My daughter and I tried a piece each, there was no taste to the pizza except very very salty, so we left the whole thing uneaten. We will never go back, nor recommend to any of our friends.
Decent pizza for a reasonable price. The place is a bit small though so it’ll be tough for a big group
Have consistently eaten here for 8 years. Corkage is free. Wood fired pizzas fabulous and Damien and Stewart are excellent hosts.

If you miss someone, taste the food he ordered, and go to the place he went.
Great woodfire pizza and popular with the locals. Great service with great views. Highly recommended
We came to this place from Kingston and arrived at 9pm, 5/9/2019, Thursday. We found they were closed for a while and the opening time which on the wall said they should open until 10pm. Unfortunately that you will lose great number of Asin customers since I would happy to tell everyone from our country about this.
I read reviews before going and unfortunately the bad ones stating that the pizza bases weren't good and pizzas were average were accurate. You honestly. Can get better frozen pizzas at woollies. I'm an ex chef and have worked in pizzerias, even my partner who doesn't know how to cook thought they weren't any good. It's a shame as the guys seem nice, only without that spark of passion and drive for quality.
Not good at all, that's all l can say. Supermarket pizza would have been better. Over priced, very poor quality. We couldn't even eat the pizza's. Threw most of the pizza's out, $102 later for 2 small 3 large. Just not on, ripping people off like that for poor quality pizza's. Not happy at all
