Saltshaker Restaurant. reviews
79This restaurant and the chefs deserve a Michelin star I could not fault the food, from the curry to the nann bread and the sweets were beautiful. Coffee just right and the beer was cold.
Loved our night here the food was excellent from the seafood platter to the chowder to pizzas including a great desert - service was spot on and lovely, thanks We left totally satisfied
I know! Who on earth has pineapple on their pizza? I was the only one but the meat lovers and the other supreme was great the salmon was super I could rave on but the new owners here really care
The Saltshaker was an absolute gem. The service was friendly and inviting, the venue was relaxed with amazing views. The food was great and tasty, the wine list is generous, and their seafood is fresh, fresh, fresh! Try their seafood chowder, garlic pizza and their Tasmanian natural oysters. You won’t be disappointed.
Had to wait quite some time but it was worth the wait. My eye fillet steak was cooked to perfection.
Awesome little takeaway, best burger with the lot I've had in years, yummy chippies too. My friend was pleased with his vego burger.
One of the worst experience we had from this place, We ordered chicken skewers and they bought us prawns skewers after 45 minutes (not even busy) Then we ordered beef burger and got something else.
Would not recommend this place. Waste of time, money and food.
For a small casual restaurant, the food and service were excellent! Amongst our party of six, we had the oysters, pizza, fish tacos, tasting plate, scallops, chowder and prawn & chorizo linguine. Each dish was rated very highly. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
A great little restaurant in the middle of swansea. A nice menu selection of fine food. Views out over the bay. Highly recommended.
Not sure about the food as we only ordered coffees. $6 for a large, coffee was bland and had to finish making it ourselves. Not a great experience. Staff were pleasant
This eatery is by FAR the best fish and chips I have had in All of my years the Freshest Fish, caught, cooked and served I highly recommend to visit Saltshaker when in Bicheno and the staff are outstanding also (very welcoming) and helpful.
We ordered 4 pizzas and a kids meal to takeaway as the restaurant was full. On the whole it was a very ordinary experience. They forgot to make one of the pizzas which meant everything was cold when they actually ended up making it and even then it wasnt cooked properly, the egg uncooked. On the whole the pizzas were bland and for the price I expect a lot more.
Amazing food and staff. GF salmon pizza, chowder (right up there with our San Francisco experience) and scallop pie are all highly recommended
Great seaside view to match the great food. We got the prawn/chorizo pasta and the seafood chowder and both were better than versions we had enjoyed at some of the fancier Hobart seafood restaurants. If I lived nearby I would be back to try the rest of the menu.
If you like chilly food, TRY CHILLY PRAWN PIZZA.
Best pizza ever, hope it opens one in Canberra.
If you like seafood, TRY seafood chowder.
Ingredients all fresh; too fresh that felt still alive
Awesome friendly staffs.
They have dining area separated from the takeaway section. Monday night and they were booked out. I got the last small table. The food is devine! Service impeccable, quick and reasonably priced. Very impressed!
The best lunch we have had in Tassie 6 days into our trip. The seafood chowder has so much flavour and the bruschetta is to die for, done in their pizza oven. All that with a fantastic smile from staff.
A friend and I needed pizza so Saturday evening was perfect time great service had Meat lovers with tomato base instead of bbq and satay chicken. Delicious.
Very disappointed. Rocked up at 11.40am hoping we weren't too late for a hot breakfast but unfortunately we were. Decided to take advantage of the awesome view and really appreciated that. We had reasonable coffee at Melbourne prices, we should have stopped at that. The salt and pepper squid was tasty but no more than a entree size for $28. We also chose the chowder which I thought it was going to be good but once the few scallops were eaten, the remainder was discusting. So over priced and apart from the young lady waiting the staff were untidy as though she just came out of the garden.
Super friendly and efficient. Pizza was excellent with a crisp base, full of flavour, and fast. Nice desserts.
