Saltshaker Restaurant. reviews
79Place got a great view, but the food is very expensive and has average taste. For 12 oysters and a double espresso, I spend $69
Really great variety of options for breakfast. We tried at least 6 different options among 8 of us and all were nicely done. All in all great place for breakfast.
Amazing! We’re steak loving Queenslanders and it was the best steak my husband had ever had - amazing flavours. Seafood was great. And it was a blessing to have a great kid’s menu - we were grateful. Thank you Saltshaker.
Awful breakfast, I ordered the baked avocado and the avo was brown, egg resembled a stone and found multiple hairs in my meal.
Had Teriyaki Salmon. The presentation and the taste was good, The serving quantity could be slightly better.
Well. A restaurant that still opened a bit late at Swansea area. Our savior so that we can still had proper dinner. LOL. Anyway, the staff's friendly and the food was great. We ordered Aussie Pizza and Lamb Shank. Both were delicious. They offer liquors too if you want. Enjoy guys!
New menu options with a Nepalese twist. Delicious dinner: I had Salmon and he had Vindaloo. Delightful service made for a very pleasant evening
Dined here tonight. Swansea restaurants full due to bank holiday closure of others.
I had a chicken madras and partner had the salmon linguini. Both arrived within 15 mins and piping hot. Good food and enjoyed the dining. Had a couple of bottled beer to wash it dien.
Great dine in lunch. Local Oysters and then a (big serve) of classic fish and chips with a great and very interesting salad that was a cut above the usual lettuce and tomato. Lovely views. Recommended.
In my opinion, the atmosphere was functional rather than welcoming and the staff were polite but not especially friendly. The food was pleasant but was presented in what were (in my view) odd combinations, which were not possible to switch out. Overall I was a little disappointed.
Unfortunate dining experience. Both ordered same dish, Seafood Linguine, looked totally different, even the waitress commented on this, but both tasted the same - tasteless, and lacking seafood.
Tomorrow night the pub is a better option.
Front of house greeting was a young lady who didn't speak or greet or make eye contact (actuallyvery rude). But she was replaced by someone much better.
Food was tasty but kids serves too small.
Very overpriced for what we got. We had salmon which was totally over cooked. Skin n not crispy & vegetables unappealing. I had seafood linguini which was pretty tasteless. Seafood tasted like it had been frozen. No flavour at all.
Staff not very friendly either.
Not many options in Swansea so I guess they can serve what they like.
They were very busy so make sure to book.kitchen closes at 7.30pm
Lovely meals and wine selection. Pleasant service. Beautiful views too if you get a nice table.
This has been the best meal ever, the presentation was superb, cooked to perfection. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable staff, delicious dishes with beautiful presentation. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.
Stopped here for lunch on our way from St Helens to Hobart. The prices were a bit high. Maybe over $30 for most lunch items from memory, which might not be an issue for everyone.
We just opted for a light lunch here. I had baked potato and partner had seafood chowder, both were really good meals. We sat outside the the view over the bay was really nice. Staff were friendly and service was great.
We came here after realising we'd booked a table at the wrong Swansea (FYI Swansea NSW RSL are really friendly) they were able to find us a table and their service was friendly. Food was yummy and the pizzas were a great option for children.
As a hospitality supervisor I was appalled by the experience at Salt Shaker last night. The service was not great at all. One staff member was on the floor running around like a headless chicken whilst the other one did absolutely nothing. The one who was doing something was clearly stressed and at times rude to members at the table when asking questions about the menu. We ordered the $50 seafood basket and it was missing Scallops and calamari and when we asked about it they blamed us. Between 10 people we spent over $600 and we left the restaurant still hungry. Let’s just say that is now another 10 people who would not recommend this place to other people
Long delays. Was told was order out of stock after long wait for it to arrive. No apologies. Service sullen. Desserts had plastic spoons. Prices high.
Main quality was good and location is great. Pity the service was so poor.
Very good hospitality, amazing food and great customer service. I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant.
