Rocky Cape Tavern & Caravan Park reviews
29Called in at 2pm on Monday to ask about evening meals. I was told only pizza available from 6 TO 8pm that's fine said I would be back for a beer and pizza about 6.30. Went back at 6.30 place was locked up could hear phone ringing constantly inside, 3 or 4 cars pulled into to bottle shop and all drove away disappointed. If they had told me they would be closed that would have been fine. We ended up driving 65klm round trip to eat that night. Full meals are only available Wednesday to Saturday.
Such a great spot & atmosphere here, we just stopped in for a quick drink on our way back to wynyard from smithton, haven't been there in years but for me it's special cos I was raised on a dairy farm just around the corner & rember it being built when I was 12yrs old, it makes me feel like I home when I call on here cos I don't live diwn th I s end anymore sadly, loved all the record & album covers on the roof & walls & the furnishings & seats were great too.
Dropped in for a meal on way home from a gig.
Great tucker; lovely venue; most welcoming team.
This place perfectly suits it's location. The vibe is so friendly. The options simple but good. Great location for tourists and locals alike
Staff were lovely, food was served pretty quickly, beer and wine was great but the meals were over priced for the quality.
Had a Absolute Brilliant day. The food was amazing and the drinks were great. Perfect atmosphere for a great get together. I must tell you guys Pizza was absolutely amazing Thanks to chefs
Great spot to camp. Lovely large grass area. Hot showers. Being close to a main road it was a bit noisy all night.
Not a bad place to stop and have a beer. Lots of records and memorabilia to look at. Didn't have a meal, maybe next time.
Bottle shop is handy
Worst pub in tassie no food no music no nothing long waits and just boring has so much potential but wasted
Called in here for lunch on our way to Smithton. We were the only 2 there. Waited 40 minutes for our meals. $28 for chicken parmy. Chicken was tough and the salad was pathetic. The octopus was very rubbery.
Played a great gig there with the Blues Brothers Revival Band. Love the friendly staff! Good burgers.
One of those places you end up feeling like a local! Thanks so much for the pool games and beers and bets and chinwags! Cheers
Amazing food!
Great varieties in meals.
Excellent service.
The passion is shown in the cut of the meat and flavours.
The chef passion comes through the food.
Well done chef!
Only used bottle shop which was well stocked considring its location.driveway could use some attention though
Unbelievable! Halfway between nowhere and nowhere in Tasmania is the best dang pub you’ll see. Atmosphere is amazing, staff are friendly, and the meals are worth every cent. So good!
Only camped here overnight but great peaceful spot off the main road, $10 a night with bathroom access - really clean with great hot showers. Perfect for an overnight stop before heading to the Rocky Cape National Park for some excellent hikes
Tavern is a lovely stop off if traveling to the northwest. Clean, nice lunches. Always a plus when the locals turn up.
This is an excellent stop for caravanners - free for self contained and cheap if you want power and toilets etc. But the best part is that it adjoins a great pub. The menu is good but the daily specials (changes every day) are exceptional value. Drink prices are on par with other pubs.
Good campsite, facilities were clean and nice. Very friendly staff. The food at the pub however was overpriced for what you get.
So close to the highway and convenient for a quick shop stop.
Last trip past for work, I noticed that they have camping facilities, powered and non powered.
They also host live entertainment from time to time.
I have not eaten there yet, however locals recommended it to me.
The bottle shop might not be the biggest, but it's big on service and carries the popular beers, wines and spirits.
Staff very friendly.
