Quest Savoy reviews
31 Top spot right in the city.
Rooms much better than your average motel room. Plenty of room with a basic kitchen set-up.
Reception service top notch.
They followed up on us when we're running late and were happy they did as we had got lost on the way the hotel, they soon guided us right to the front door.
Exceptional service, staff & location right at shopping hub. Rooms very clean, easy to get to from airport. Short 3 min walk from Skybus stop. Highly recommend!
We stayed here for a couple of days at the beginning of our holidays and again at the completion. Both times the check-in / welcome was delightful. The rooms were clean, tidy and the beds very comfy.
The location is tops. Short walk to the quay, Salamanca and local pubs/restaurants.
Highly recommended.
Perfect stay in the heart of Hobart, service and staff very helpful and friendly, our room with a spa was very spacious and clean, 2 minute walk to the cat & fiddle in the mall
Excellent location right in the city. The reception lady was fantastic helping us with luggage storage during the day as we had a late flight. Beds comfortable. Shower great. Clean. Day spa is phenomenal
I stayed 2 nights on a business trip, and was appreciative of a complimentary upgrade.
I am not sure that this hotel is 4 star, perhaps 3 star.
The whole building including the room had a strong musty scent. The lift was old, smelt very musty, and overall felt like it had seen better days (it made me nervous).
The television was an old first generation flat screen, and only seemed to pick up local analogue TV channels (no digital TV reception, not a SmartTV, limited options). If you choose to stay in this hotel, maybe take along a ChomeCast dongle or something (the TV had spare HDMI input).
Limited natural light in room, no view. Felt gloomy and didn't help the whole musty thing.
I had to unplug a lot of glowing things to be able to sleep. Bedside clock, microwave oven clock, the TV, they all glowed bright. The smoke detector on the roof had an annoying flashing red light too. I also had to unplug the fridge as it emitted a noisy hum.
Especially if travelling with kids, be careful of the hot water, it is dangerously hot.
Overall, it felt like a staff member had not stayed in one of these rooms overnight and experienced it. While I appreciated a complimentary upgrade from the "budget accommodation", I was left wondering what that might have been like (eeek).
I would not choose this hotel again for the above reasons, however, to be clear.
Although aging, the room was spotlessly clean (apart from the musty odour). Very comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi download but very slow upload. Quite. Great location (amazing). Friendly staff. I am sure this hotel would be fine for many people, but I'm not sure it is 4 star as advertised.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 weeks. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Staff are very friendly and approachable. Rooms are clean and tidy. Near to restaurants and shopping malls.
Great place and location. Only downside was the internet was a little unreliable at times, but would come again
Clean tidy accommodation and friendly staff. A little noisy but it is in central Hobart so this can’t be helped.
Spacious rooms. Comfy beds and pillows. Great for longer stays as have kitchenette.convenient location in the cbd within short walking distance to harbour.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We will be back soon to explore Hobart more and will definitely stay here again. Comfy bed, warm room and nothing was to much trouble for staff members. Thank you.
Very old apartment. No lift. Tiny shower. Floor very uneven. Price does not reflect the above. Good location.
We had a great experience with Quest Savoy. The room was comfortable and clean, the location was perfect and the customer service was friendly and flexible. We stayed one night for a wedding in a deluxe studio room.
Lovely desk staff, immaculately clean and spacious room. Accessible to all transport and central to the city. A little loud at night, with traffic and pedestrians. But still a good find
Clean place staff are very friendly and helpful bathrooms relatively clean a new paint job would give it a nice lift overall very satisfied
Superb location in the heart of everything and only 5 minutes to the water and Salamanca St.
Staff was very friendly. Stayed across the road from the main building. Nice place with good space. Has a well equipped kitchen. Bed is comfy. No sound proofing at front of the room facing the street, also has gaps in the windows allowing a slight breeze into the room making it cool during the night. Bathroom is larger unfortunately with all that space the shower is quite small.
No lift so be prepared to carry your bags up a flight or two of stairs.
They do have parking unfortunately it is a 5 minute walk from the main building and being a public car park the discounted rate is still $18 overnight.
Has a washer and dryer in between levels 1 & 2 which is complimentary.
TV comes with all channels including some movie channels which is a bonus.
Great value apartment hotel rooms. Very convenient location just a couple of blocks for the Hobart Pier area and the CBD. Apartment was very quiet at night despite very central location. A little on the older side, but kept very clean and tidy and brilliant for short stays.
Immaculately kept historic Hobart hotel. Very friendly and professional staff who go out of their way to accommodate your needs and requests.
The building and apartment where clean and well maintained. The apartment was specious, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Staff were nice and helpful. The annex doesn't have a lift (which we knew in advance) but this is easily made up for by the great location and lower price. Previous reviews described the annex as poorly maintained but this wasn't our experience.
Excellent location lovely room beautiful comfortable beds Great reception staff very professional. TV good reception worth staying here.
