Pub in the Paddock reviews
59We visited just over a year ago. We drove 3.5 hours just specifically for them. I was so excited to meet Priscilla and get her drunk (on some water down beer). We bought some souvenirs and I still wear my Pub in the Paddock hoodie all the time. We are planning another trip next year to Tassie and this place is definitely on itinerary.
Amazing historic pub. Great location, friendly people, great food, plenty to drink, comfortable rooms well appointed. Thank you Scott and Rowena. We will be back couldn't ask for a better reception and place to stay. Highly recommend a visit to this place.
Friendly owners. Worth of stop in for a drink, did not eat do cammot review. Stoo in on the way to or from St. Columba falls.
So happy we popped in for lunch at Pub in the Paddock! The venue is lovely, staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! Portions were a generous size and value for money. Will recommend to friends and hope to visit again soon!
Had the Seafood Basket here 16/3/20. Very disappointing, just a couple of fried frozen seafood bits. Imitation crab sticks. Total rubbish actually.
My Husband and I absolutely loved this place. The country scenery was so so beautiful. We both had the steaks which were perfect. Very filling meal. Cost about $32 each but that is what you pay now days. Nothing good comes cheap. Would come back if lived close by. The pub has a lot of personality also inside and out. Just so relaxing to sit outside especially being able to take our dogs. The publican was very friendly as well. Very surprised to see some bad reviews. Everyone seemed to be loving it there. Great atmosphere.
Overpriced and underwhelming. We went out of our way to stop here for lunch on the recommendation of others. The food was disappointing and overpriced. Chips were undercooked and the pies were not what you would expect for the price. Certainly not what we were expecting. One of our party had the good sense to eat at the cafe at the cheese factory down the road. Wish we had all done the same.
Prices expensive. Simple menu and quite unhealthy esp for kids. No table water or water station. Service in consistent some hosts cordial others brash! Chips not cooked properly. Nice enough heritage venue with lovely old photos and memorabilia. This place could be booming with better attention to detail and reasonable prices.
Good size portions pub grub. Decent menu. Dining area needs a little more light depending on where you sit. Otherwise great service!
Parma was small and average, tasted like canned tomato. No tap water provided when drinking expensive bottled water available. I suggest lunching at the weldbourough pub if heading to St Columbia falls for the day.
I read the reviews on this place before I went a lot of the reviews mentioned uncooked food i should have taken notice i had the steak sandwich i am not a fan of uncooked steak rare i could have eaten but blue is definitely not for me weldborough hotel for me next time I am down that way
After a six hour drive to go to the pub in the paddock. It was closed. And it ruined my friends life
Chips were undercooked, fish raw, prices too expensive, service very average, placed smelled quite a bit, no tap water, for this sort of prices I would expect at least some tap water.
It is a bit sad that Tasmanian magazines advertise this pub as the place to go!
Definitely do NOT recommend this place to anyone, Disgusting!
Take it or leave it, it was OK but don't make a special trip.
Little disappointed in the food
A bit pricey but that's to be expected
Had a steak sandwich and it was tough
Others had fish and chips and reckon that it was just Frozen I and J Fish fillets.
Calamari was just some sort of fish filler concoction.
Cant rate this place as we didnt check it was open before we drove all the way out there.
Really important to check, ring them, they may be closed.
They also dont have good internet so cannot reply regularly online.
Old as stated, country old fashioned with a roaring fire. I did not eat here, but enjoyed a crisp, clean and cold Boags beer!
Disappointing. Food was terrible. Calamari was processed and fake, pork sausages tough and tasteless. Cheap frozen products badly cooked. We won’t be back!
Excellent food and ambience, very polite and efficient wait staff and the best part.zero cell phone reception
Very disappointed. We had planned on spending the arvo having drinks & evening with meals & stay too, but they closed @ 4pm just as we arrived. No where was this mention in the advertising or when we saw it recently on TV.
