It's a popular place, except for the very curt, if not somewhat abrasive barmaid we enjoyed it.

It really doesn’t get better than this. Good vibes, good food and good beer. If you like food and beer, you’re missing out if you don’t go here.

Considering we were there on a Monday evening, the place had a great vibe and some delicious food. Really happy with how everything came out. There were even puppers around the place which were super cute!

Went 3 years ago and service and atmosphere was awesome. Went last night and received Aperol Spritz.flat.when I politely returned and asked for another drink and asked for the difference to be taken off my drink as the price varied the bartender put it upon himself that it was my "choice " to return said Aperol Spritz.no. I returned what I did not receive!

Good vibes but the customer service and the food need a bit of polishing. Cheese stake sandwich was more of an onion and messy sauce bread roll. The beer selection is quite good.

Definitely the best bar in Hobart. Such an awesome vibe will great indoor and outdoor areas. There is an excellent selection of beers that are always changing and the prices are amazing!

If I could give 3.5*, we would. It’s not quite the 4* venue.

3* purely due to most things being more on the average side. The burgers were decent but not mind blowing, and probably most things were decent just not amazing.

The mulled cider was tasty however I assume they wouldn’t have this all year round.

Great variety of beers on tap! Chilled awesome vibe. Nice indoor and outdoor setting. Friendly staff. But most importantly, the beer prices are fantastic! Best I’ve seen in any pub in Hobart so far and far better than anywhere in Melbourne. Found the new local

Had the $25 beer and burger special. Nice food, cool atmosphere, bar tender/manager knew his stuff about the beers he was serving! Didn't have many Tasmanian beers available though, but had a great selection of beers. Overall a great little pub!

Great little beer garden down a laneway in battery point. We stumbled across this place on an afternoon walk. Great to sit in the sun with one of their many craft beers. Loaded fries were awesome. Good tunes and atmosphere

Great little bar tucked away in Hobart. Always a fantastic beer list and while I've never eaten there the food looks amazing.
The back yard area is great during warmer weather and the seating inside the bus parked out the back is a cute addition.
Highly recommended if you're passing through Hobart and love good beer!

Good beer selection and a nice hippy place to hang out in on weekends.

Cheeseburger patty was a bit overcooked, but the Preacher Burger was spot in. Juicy and goes well with sweet potato chips! And of course, best complemented with a pint of craft beer

Nice vibe in the outdoor area. Food was decent though the on tap beer selection could be better. White ants on a few of the tables outside (not the bar's fault but probably something to address). Otherwise a nice place to spend a couple of hours with mates or colleagues.

Nice atmosphere and staff, delicious beer, cozy place with outdoor garden. Big combo traditional burger+chips. Probably I'd expect a more varied gourmet burger offer, as a personal preference. The place is pet friendly!

Preachers is a nice little find. The burger was outstanding (run of the mill chips, worth going to the sweet potato). They have a small but suitably eclectic tap selection with friendly bar staff and good atmosphere inside and out.

You'll want to tell everyone you know about this gem tucked away in Knopwood street! Perfect for afterwork drinks or lunches (their cheeseburger is delicious! - a bonus it doesn't fall apart when you eat it), Preachers is a cool setting without the hustle and bustle that comes with the pubs and bars on the Salamanca strip. A wide variety of drinks caters to everybody (their aperol spritz is most refreshing!) and service relatively quick. Plenty of seating options and they take bookings which is a bonus. When you've visited three times in as many months you know it must be a good thing!

Great beer, great food, great service, great vibe. The range of beers available is excellent - plenty of IPAs but could do with a few more stouts. The burgers and chips are great. If you love broccoli (who doesn’t?) you must try the tempura broccoli with wasabi mayo - it is divine! This place is kid friendly during the day (they can have a blast playing in the bus). Card payment accepted.

Totally inappropriate for one bar staff member to start serving us only for the security guard to decide that the time was past serving time and make an arbitrary decision not to leg half of our group in. Really incredibly disappointing and means we won’t come back here again.

Straight up one of the best vegan burgers I've had in Hobart. A really tasty cheese burger vibe.
I was pretty cut when they said they had no vegan buns. I guess because they go with a vegan/gf option they run out faster. Gotta keep that stock up. I've had lettuce instead of a bun on FOUR separate occasions. That's whack.

Excellent selection of beers on tap and non stop beats. Really should host gigs out of that bus.

Anyway.loved it. Lettuce burg and all.

Nice place to meet up with friends, however the wait time for food is a bit ridiculous. I was told there would be an hour wait for food, it was fine with me because I was going to be there for most of the night. The things I found strange was that they had a smoking area and you weren't allowed to be served food in that area and the other seating area where you could eat was only meters, if not centimeters away from the smoking area. They should also pay more attention to the condition of the wooden seats/benches, as I got a splinter when I went to sit down on one of the wooden seats and tore a hole in my stocking when I went to try and move
