73Accidentally walked into the kitchen wasn’t sure if I was meant to go through or not as it was my first time walking into the building and one young bloke in there told me hey mate can you **** off. Heaps of nicer ways you could’ve said it champ. All I wanted to do was get a burger not get sworn at
Im from Newcastle, here for a couple of days. The bartender (didn’t get his name) was happy to have a chat to me about what to do/what to see whilst I’m here, rather than a lot of other bartenders at other places who wouldn’t care to have a bit of a yarn. Beer garden is nice too, top joint
Loaded fries were excellent and I was helped when I asked for one of the outdoor heaters to be turned on, even though it was out of gas and they got a sudden influx of people. Thank you!
Some of the best burgers in Tasmania paired with one of the best beer selection ranges out.
A nicely spaced beer garden area in a quiet area of Hobart.
What to try:
The Nashville Fried Chicken burger – packs a small kick if you love spice
Love Preachers, great everything; however the over zealous door man looking to cause trouble rather than welcome customers was disappointing. What ever his title, his shirt collar was too tight as it had obviously blocked the blood flow to his brain. This was made evident as ridiculous, provactative comments dribbled forth with gay abandonment.
Amazing spot, great service and good food. 2nd time visiting and will do again when i get back to Hobart
Superb drinks (plenty of beer taps) and and food. Friendly staff with an amazing atmosphere. Surely will be my kind of place!
Great beer, beer garden and food. Delicious and fresh ingredients always make the best burger and this cheeseburger didn’t disappoint. Knowledgeable staff helping with the beer selections and free tasting. Thanks
Great spot in/near Battery Point yet still off the beaten track. Range of local beers but I kept myself warm with their mulled cider
Popped in late arvo on a Friday. Few people about, but not too busy. Great little find, you almost wouldn’t know it exists! Old house transformed into a bar with lots of seating space and an outdoor area with a bus! Awesome vibes! Food was yummy, I would recommend the popcorn chicken dish to anyone who will listen! Lots of choice when it comes to beer - these guys prefer to support micro breweries etc, rather than sourcing from the likes of CUB etc, which is fantastic. So if CUB and mainstream beers are your jam, then this place may not be for you.
Must go to spot if you love Craft beer and in Hobart. Cool vibe with a solid selection of craft beers (usually some good local options you dont see too often) along with a good food menu to pair. Highly recommend
Good beer aye got grifters I love grifters but some bloke at the bar was unhappy about me calling him champ seemed like a champ so dunno why he so upset. What’s up with that champ? It gets even better I didn’t even get served because of this, I’m at preachers quite often and spend money regularly and this is unfair. I work in hospitality and this is completely unacceptable what an absolute champion this guy needs grow on up
Some friends introduced us here and we're hooked now, great food, great booze, great staff and atmosphere!
Only wish this place was in Adelaide! Spent way too much of our time here when in Hobart recently.
Beer selection changes almost daily, great friendly staff and music, amazing food and the coolest beer garden ever. A must whilst in Hobart.
House party atmosphere! Great service, reasonably priced food and drinks. We turned up late and only the snack menu was available. The smoke from the fireplace filled up the rooms though.
Sick list of beers on tap, venue itself is cool with lots of seating available. Waited an hour and a half for two cheeseburgers, enquired after an hour as we were never told there was a long wait when we ordered. Were told by staff it would be another 30 mins and they didn't seem phased that we had been waiting so long already. Pretty disappointing
Great beers and an ever changing selection - last time all Garage Project and this time all Mr Banks. Yumo. Burgers are delicious and the setting is second to none. Will be back at first opportunity!
Quirky bar, with different tipples to your average tavern.
We sipped on the sours that were on tap, while enjoying the nostalgia of being at the back of the bus again.
Staff really friendly, a short walk up the hill from Salamanca shops.
Great bar, great food, great staff! Lovely warm cosy vibe, in an old, converted house. Cute outdoor area too! Delicious bar snack and dinner options (vego friendly). Highly recommend?
Food is average, wings super dry. Drinks are okay cool hipster setting.
Would not go for food there but just drink and chill is a good place
