The cabin was beautiful and cosy.
The fire place was stocked daily with plenty of wood outside.
The bed was comfy and the amenities were great quality.

We had a little pod coffee machine in our room as well as a fridge, kitchenette and oven.

Prior to arriving at Piermont we went and got breakfast ingredients from the IGA as the only close by decent breakfast place is the restaurant and Piermont itself. I do recommend doing this if don’t want to spend $60 each morning on breakfast for 2.

We ate at the restaurant both nights and it was amazing. The food was fresh and the staff were lovely.

The only complaints I have is that 4 out of the 9 lights in our room were blown.being in a cabin in the winter it did make it very dark in the morning.
Our dishwasher was also broken.
The deck was very worn and the outdoor table we had was covered in bird poo and splinters.
When you are paying for a 5 star experience I do this these things should come under your general maintenance check prior to guests arriving.

All in all, we would definitely return to Piermont.

This place is incredible. The beautiful sunsets and sunrises from our balcony were unforgettable. We stayed in the ocean view spa suite. It was perfect and we had a delightful stay here. They have a private beach and a beautiful restaurant at the retreat to. Amazing place, don’t miss this on the east coast of Tasmania

Our little lodge was lovely and cosy. The restraunt had the most wonderful food for both breakfast and dinner without being too expensive given the quality.

We stayed at Piermont for our honeymoon and it was spectacular!

The food at the homestead was excellent!

We stayed in the Honeymoon spa studio which had a perfect open wood fire place which was set up for our arrival. The spa was nothing spectacular however with such an impressive fire place, we spent our whole time in the room in front of it!

The honeymoon spa studio is a private cottage, not a joining to any others. It has great views of the water and from a slightly set back vantage point.

We hosted a my 30th birthday lunch in the Homestead Restaurant at Piermont. I'd give the experience 6-stars if I could. Laurent, Ali and Sean worked seamlessly together to create the most magical experience. Incredible quality food sourced from the garden, exceptional service and a lunch we will never forget. Thank you

Sadly I can only give 2 stars to this beautiful place. The location is truly outstanding, the views unbelievable and the grounds stunning.

We initially booked a water front cottage, it was beautiful on the outside, right by the water, but dated inside.

We were met with a large number of Portugese millipedes in the cottage. We woke in the middle of the night with them crawling in our bed. And picked up around 40 the following morning after a very unsettled sleep. Ugh!

We spoke to the management in the morning and they kindly offered to move us to the larger, new buildings in hope that there would be less millipedes there (we had asked when we checked in if these were available as we were willing to pay to upgrade, but we were told they were not available).

The millipede situation was much better in the new house, and the house was absolutely stunning. (If I owned the property, I would have sent housekeeping around to remove the dead millipedes that were there before sending guests in.the front step was covered in them)

We had to share the house with mice, but they seemed to keep to downstairs with the few millipedes there so we slept better. It only took me 1 day to find out where the mice came in and I blocked the hole, so I wonder if the owners had not done this already.anywho, we managed to keep the mouse/millipede situation under control ourselves.

I understand creepy crawlies are a part of Australian life, but when you pay the amount of money we did to stay somewhere, you expect better pest control.

Apart from this, the dinner was amazing, staff friendly and the grounds are so beautiful.

Room infested with millipedes!

This was our first trip to Tasmania. After driving from Devonport to Swansea we stayed at Piermont Retreat, which we thought was going to be the highlight of our stay as website and pictures looked fantastic but reality was quite different!
Beautiful setting around the reception and restaurant. We stayed in cottage #15 that was not very attractive (definitely not shown on their website). We had to close every blind and curtain when inside as we were exposed all around.
We were so tired and dint bother about all this and went to sleep. Suddenly after half an hour, my wife felt something crawling on her leg, She ignored initially and again it happened. I got up to check who was sharing the bed with us and saw couple of millipedes on the bed! I removed it from the bed and went back to sleep again but our ordeal din’t stop. There were more of them falling from the ceilings on our faces. We then decided to sleep in our car for rest of our night.
Next day we saw thousands of them all over the floor, walls, ceilings and even in the shower and bathtub. I had the first night spoiled the experience for us. When we complained this to the management there was a big stare with an explanation “This is normal to have insects in this climate. ” Sorry I understand reptiles and insects are normal in Australia but I dint plan my holiday and pay so much money to share my room with insects and spoil my night. I had stayed in other hotels after Day 1 and it was satisfying.

I REQUEST TO HAVE OUR MONEY BACK AS WE SPENT OUR NIGHT IN THE CAR RATHER THAN HOTEL ROOM

Beautiful accommodation, terrific location, wonderful restaurant and service. I'd have given 5 stars but for the 'ask' for a tip when it comes time to pay after dinner. It's built into the EFTPOS software so you feel obliged to add extra to a bill that already ain't cheap. Not liking this new trend in Australia.

We really did have an amazing stay. The property is beautifully maintained and the staff were lovely.

My issue was with the upkeep of the bathrooms, the cleanliness was not what it should be for a 4 star hotel and we opted not to use the bath for this reason.

We also found it confusing to settle the bill at the end of the stay. We opted to include breakfast as part of our stay & at the end it was displayed as a credit not an actual inclusion. The food and drinks were also split.

This is one of the most stunning locations I have ever been to. From the incredible views, state of the art architecturally designed accomodation to the Homestead restaurant where we sat for a 3 course lunch for my dear friends 30th birthday. Absolutely divine staff, food and accommodation. I am recommending to everyone I know. Thank you Piermont:)

I spent a lot of money on a voucher booking for my partner and I to visit, but due to coronavirus and the borders shutting from Victoria our holiday was canceled. This was a huge expense for us, and they’ve refused to refund the voucher, so we are $400 out of pocket and no holiday! ️

Hidden treasure on the East Coast.
Fabulous restaurant with some of the best food I’ve experience throughout Tasmania.
The accommodation was very relaxing and a step back in time staying in the well appointed cottages.
The retreat is situated right on the beach which makes it perfect.

Stayed in an ocean spa cottage on 4/7/2020. Room was cozy/warm but needs work and for $295 a night would have expected more. With the usual tea/coffee facilities was only supplied 2 coffee pods and two bottles of water. Nothing else (not even a microwave to go with full cooking facilities). Would have expected a few other complimentary items for the price. Lovely location and very private. Staff super friendly.

Celebrated my birthday dinner with a set menu from Piermont homestead. Staff were so friendly and happily accommodated a vegan menu. The meal was amazing, as a 5 year vegan it's easy to get used to the same old vegan meals being served however here every course something new, unique and flavourful. For a very reasonable price too.

Cant fault this place. Weather was also on our side mid November so being outside and watching the birdlife was lovley. The place is like a secret you dont want others to know about! The cottages are quaint and just perfect.

The accommodation was excellent! We enjoyed staying in a cottage with sea views, an absolutely stunning setting! The sun made the water sparkle, and with the coastal plants and rustic setting, it was perfect. The cottage was clean and had a kitchen with everything you’d need to make a basic meal to eat in. The positioning of the various cottages gave a sense of privacy and your own space. The grounds were expansive and beautiful. It really was idyllic. We ate at the restaurant once, which was enough. Given its remote location, the lean towards fine dining seemed like the wrong fit, maybe something more approachable with greater variety would keep you coming back for dinner every night. The meal as it was was fine, but nothing to rave about. Having said that, the views from the balcony were lovely. We had a hire car and drove round to Wine Glass Bay to do the lookout walk, such a beautiful part of the world. Also suggest stopping at the lookout for Friendly Beaches - gorgeous spot, not busy and we saw two echidnas! They were ace!
