PHAT FISH / Pavilion @ Salamanca reviews
70Had a lovely family lunch here and were really happy. It was quite busy for lunch but the guy behind the bar was really calm, friendly and professional. They brought us a complementary bread as they were so busy which was nice. When the food arrived it was delicious and very filling. Super happy, will visit again!
Came in by chance because they have fishbowls, so glad I did. Awesome staff and atmosphere. I'll be back and everybody should visit! Thank you for the awesome time Phat Fish
Some of the best oyesters Ive ever eaten. Great service and atmosphere. The meal was exceptional. If you love seafood, you owe yourself a visit here.
Very friendly service, great atmosphere! The winner was definitely the food, AMAZING fresh seafood platter. My husband who has been vegetarian for 3 years couldn’t resist the seafood platter! If you’re a seafood lover then the Phat Fish will definitely not disappoint!
We had some oysters and seafood baskets. Every thing was absolutely delicious. The calamari was the nicest I have had in Tasmania, and I am a local, battered oysters were delicious as were the chips. Their recommend drink was very nice as well.
Loved the fish&chips! They also have a great selection of hot sauces from Melbourne hot sauce among others. Plus the local ale was excellent!
The food was all beautiful at good value - we had the porterhouse, grilled salmon and mussels. Although the service could be better by being more inclusive for people of colour.
Food was wonderful, fish n chips classy style. If I had to pinpoint a downfall, it would of been the live music that was so loud it was impossible to chat over dinner.
Ordered the tuna and a garden salad with haloumi. Overall cost me 41 dollars. I wanted all the items.
However they forgot my potatoes included with the tuna and I find that strange, and kind of rude because
I had to disturb my friend while he was eating his burger to ask for the other part to my meal. To be fair, not cheap and probably staff should be more attentive. Otherwise good food
Food was super fast and fresh. Loved the seafood basket and the fish on a few other dishes was cooked to perfection. Not too much but not too little either.
Honestly one of the best seafood lunches I've ever had and I'm not even a fan of seafood!
Seafood here was very fresh and tasty. The fried items were not greasy and the Phat Fish chowder was excellent. Highly recommended!
This is a great place… great service and very clean and tidy. Food was great, seafood super fresh. You can eat inside or out on the street, we elected to eat outside and people watch. Good selection of beers on tap as well as the usual wine, sparkling and spirits. My only nit picking comment would be…. No dessert menu!
I just had a meal here tonight, the meal was awesome and I love it! I had a 12doz of oysters which was really fresh, a stunning pan seared scallops with a Seafood platter. Staff was friendly, I will definitely gonna be back again soon.
An excellent venue with a lovely vibe. Staff were super responsive and the food was to die for.
Friendly and helpful staff, great selection of meals (big and small), and also a good range of beer, wine and spirits too. $12 Mussel Mondays are a real winner too!
Is a seafood restaurant but surprisingly does beef steak just as well. Ordered a no frills 300g porterhouse beef steak and yummy good! Must try!
We had a really fresh and delicious meal. Pub style environment, friendly and efficient service.
Banging mussels and chips and a serious portion to quaff on. Mussels are monstrous. Only sting in the tail was the rancid local dark ale. Note to self: ask for a taster next time.
Really nice food. Had a lot of seafood and it was all great. Huge oysters. Great value for money!
3.7. Nice fish cafe off Salamanca place in a heritage building. Pleasant and casual enough and well fitted out. Staff friendly too. I had a nice char grilled salmon with egg, Sicilian olives, egg, tomato, beans, rocket, cucumber, capers and potato. It was a good tasty meal and the salmon was particularly nice. Recommended.
