Beautiful food in a gorgeous location, and the friendliest staff anywhere. This place is a hidden treasure.

Amazing cafe close to the caves. Lovely owners and they even offer vegan options! The view is amazing too. I am addicted to the "I love chocolate" they sell, the pistachio one is divine! We will be back next year:)

A lovely cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. They have comfortable couches and also tables and chairs. I had one of their plain Kranskey sausage hotdogs (4 types available), they also have nachos and a few vegetarian options

Well worth a visit, with a kilometre or so to go before the caves. A selection of Kransky sausages available for a late lunch, freshly prepared and tasty. Beautiful gardens surround the premises, with a quaint collection of furniture in the shop to relax.

'A memorable coffee break from a packed day of cave delving. '

Marakoopa Café charms you with its homely aesthetic of nostalgic decorative furnishings. The exterior seating areas are very picturesque and amazing for larger groups. There are leather couches situated in the alfresco as well as wooden outdoor dining tables by the window. Sarah, one of the lovely owners informed me that the room is also converted to a stage and movie theatre during special events.

We ended up ordering two coffees and a melting moment to wade our appetite between cave tours. The table service was lightning fast and delightful. It definitely hit the spot as my strong skinny latte was made to absolute perfection. Elegant art and deliciously strong to my request. The melting moment was an excellent topping, with its velvet texture and adequate sweetness level.

The owners are passionate about their business and are knowledgeable of the Marakoopa Cave. Very warm people you can approach and have a chill chat with. We have to thank the kind man who warned us of the bushfires in rural Hobart as we were tourists in the area.

Overall you will not regret visiting this fantastic café, the ambience alone is worth the load off and you will be treated to some fine coffee and awesome service.

Best Coffee we had in two weeks of touring around. Such a cool laidback vibe. Was a very enjoyable place to kick back and relax whilst waiting for the Marakoopa cave tour and the lady there was friendly and helpful with local knowledge.

Beautiful setting and friendly owners. Al fresco dining and indoor dining available. Limited menu but very tasty and done well. Great coffee. Staff gave great Tasmania recommendations. If passing through this way would recommend stopping for a coffee and one of their tasty paninis.

Great food and coffees. The family owning this place is amazing, they easily share their passion of travels and music with their customers. You might stay longer than planned:)

Make sure you stop here for lunch! I was pretty much over the moon with my delicious carrot and lentil soup (with the best fluffy crusty yummy bread ever) before I had even tried a slice of melt in the mouth apricot and almond cake! We had a great time chatting to Lars and his family who are some of the loveliest people we have met in Tassie! We will be back for sure!

A little oasis on the way to the caves. We grabbed a bite to eat (Scandinavian hot dogs) and managed to catch some live music too, just a lovely atmosphere.
