Lachlan Hotel

The restaurant and the hotel should have different pages on Google since they are worlds apart. While the food was tasty and service in the restaurant was very good the room was not good at all. The rooms have a shared bathroom which isn't stated anywhere online, the shower in the ladies section was completely clogged and full of hair. The tap made loud sounds like a ship horn when I tried to use it, everywhere was dust and dead insects. The carpet has stains all over the hallway. The room was tiny, no aircon, no wifi and urgently needs a renovation. This place could do a lot better for the hotel guests!

Absolutely beautiful meal. I had a chicken Parma the size of it was huge definitely value for money.

We pulled in for lunch on our way to Hobart. Well worth the stop. The service was great and the food was delicious!

Poor service outside area filthy, bags of food sraps, been there for two weeks, table in smoking area not wiped for two wks. My last trip there, after forty years, no more.

If you need a bed- stay here! Cosy room, comfortable bed with electric blanket. Tea/coffee/fridge & breakfast goods available outside of the room. Large share bathroom, seperate shower/toilet etc. Thank you Tracy for your warm hospitality.
Only a short drive to Mount Field National Park and your $ support small towns - a win for all.

First look they have country style great little Cafe service mm then a little bottle shop take a drive and drop by for a great meal coffee

Went for a cheeky lunch this afternoon with a friend…what an incredible hidden gem this place is. Wine list filled with local Tassie wines at prices you don’t see in town. We had pizza and a burger - meals were outstanding and incredibly generous for the price. Varied menu and will absolutely be back to sample further. Tracey was an outstanding hostess, friendly and attentive. Couldn’t recommend this place higher!

Stopped there for lunch I ordered a gluten free pizza unfortunately it was under cooked & lacking taste my partner ordered a Thai red curry which was a whole heap of vegetables & rice covered in a red curry sauce erysipelas disappointed but will say the service was good & the beer was cold

Had a great, passing through town, counter meal here. Fast, friendly service and a delicious, good-sized meal.

Called into the Bistro/ Cafe only place we could find that was open to serve coffee and lunch between Hobart and Derwent Bridge / The Wall so we were very greatful and very happy with the quality of the coffee and the food. Would recommend this place even though they were so busy it was worth the small amount of waiting time as we are on holidays and in reality it didn't matter.

Lachlan hotel is a fantastic pub, restaurant and stopover when riding/touring Tassie's west coast. Very friendly staff and great food.
The parmi I had last night was the freshest, tastiest and most succulent I had in years! Rooms are clean, bed was comfy - what more could be asked for?

Decent set up that's nice and quiet on a Saturday arvo.the food was pretty good and the beers refreshing. Garlic bread with bacon and cheese - lovely. The chips with regular gravy - I wasn't such a fan of the gravy. Salt and pepper squid was very nice

Great coffee, pies and cakes, an unexpected treat for tourists passing through. Serve lunch as well. Friendly service too.

It's a bakery, pub, restaurant and hotel so beware of waiting time and stressed out workers. Overall the food is great quality (bonus if you like onion in your ham cheese and tomato toastie) and the bathrooms are clean if you want a good rest stop

If you're headed between Hobart and the West, or just in the area, it is well worth the stop.

Great friendly pub to recharge your batteries and grab a hearty meal after a big hike or multi-day adventure. Accommodation is simple but adequate and the owners are super friendly.
