Kosaten Japanese Restaurant reviews
69Omg the food was delicious and the lil delivery system is cool.thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we highly recommend
Third time back to this resturant in two visits to Hobart. What a great place. Food was all fantastic and very prompt service
We came down from Sydney and we were recommended this restaurant by some friends. Totally awesome. Meals delivered by mag-lev type conveyor (no risk of injury) to table great fun and quick. We have had a lot of Japanese food, this was great, we will go again before we go home.
Highly recommend. Incredible food and fast service. We have been here multiple times and the experience is always fantastic.
Cool food delivery service AND the food is excellent. Ordering is quick and easy on the ipda, then delivered on a convyer. Really enjoyed my sake too.
Awesome little place — order on an iPad and watch while your order gets whizzed straight to your table. I couldn’t fault any of the food. Highly recommend the aburi crab stick and tempura prawn rolls with fried enoki mushrooms
The restaurant is in a good location also it is also presenting really good inside, food is mediocre, nothing special, prices are really high for what you get.
Not really recommended
Thanks for squeezing us in at short notice! Service was great, staff were friendly and the food came out really fast. The dishes were all delicious and fairly priced. Had an amazing meal and a bottle of wine for $138, bargain! Really cool place, definitely recommend!
Sushi delivered by a mini jet train to your booth.
Wagyu beef 3 ways is super good as well as the aburi salmon and the volcano ship is an explosion of spicy flavour in your mouth!
Great flavours. Quick service. Fun touchscreen ordering. Highly recommended. 2 adults and 2 kids ate for $110ish. Recommend the tempura soft shell crab.
Surprised to find this quality Japanese food in Tasmania. Restaurant has a good vibe, food was delivered from the kitchen to the tables by a conveyor belt. The salmon and king fish sashimi were very fresh. The sauces were well flavoured and balanced with the fish.
Perfect place for picky kiddy eaters (provided you feed them before going). They love the mechanics of ordering for the adults and watching the food zoom up to our tae.
Happy people and beautiful fresh food. A quirky little restaurant with a few little enjoyable surprises throughout a fantastic dining experience. We'll be back!
Food is tasty but maybe slightly overpriced for what it is, i.e. Small & simple. Cosy atmosphere. Overall reasonably good but not outstanding.
Made a reservation for 3 people at 5pm. There was only 4 other people in the restaurant. Ordered a few overpriced dishes, which in due time. Order the wagyu roll. After 10 minutes was told its not available, but overpriced 3 piece wagyu nigiri is available. Ordered the fried chicken, and some 50 cent ginger (usually free). Ginger took 10 minutes to arrive, whilst just as I was going to walk out, fried chicken arrived after 20 minute wait. All while other dishes were being served for take away.
Food wasn't even that good. Won't be back.
I'm a Gong gal visiting for lunch.
Barely found the place as no signage but after some warm sakè and great food coming along on a little train.blown away.
Rosita loves it here.will return xx
We had our anniversary and birthday dinner at Kosaten. The experience was so cool, with our orders coming straight out of the kitchen on a conveyor belt. We ordered so many different dishes and they all blew us away. Each one was unique and sooo yummy! We will definitely be going back and recommend it strongly for anyone who likes great Japanese food and a cool dinner experience.
Such a fun experience for everyone! Quality was great, service was unique and unlike anything we have ever experienced! I would totally recommend!
Tempura oyster? Yes please! Visiting Hobart and came here twice because it was so good. Very quick service and the quality of food was 10/10.
The best Japanese restaurant in Hobart.
We come here regularly. Today we tried the takeaway bentos, and it was amazing. Yummy
Above all the service was great. The order was few mins late, which I didn’t mind, but they were apologetic and offered a free sushi. This is called customer service! Wow moment!
