Slipped in for a $20 pot and parmi special, food was delicious, big meals for $20, a very un-boring salad, chips (cooked to perfection) and a slab of thick chicken parmi with a tasty cheese mix on top.
Service left a lot to be desired, ignored at bar when we first walked in (staff member did have dirty plates on her way to kitchen) but then walked straight back out without even a side eye no bell to ring, went into restaurant staff did their best to not serve us again. Finally came through with some service which was fine.
While eating in the bar area another group came in and waited for service at the bar, they also had to go into the restaurant for service, maybe management couple use a sign stating bar isn't staffed between certain hours or a bell to get staff attention

Came for my mum's birthday, it was so loud we couldn't hear each other and tables were so long and wide we really had to yell. Food was okay, my son loved his pizza and the oysters were good (although our order was messed up). Pork belly was a bit tough and very dry. Also paid $18 for a dessert which was incredibly small (size of a pocket watch maybe?) and served with one scoop of ice cream and a strawberry cut in half.

The staff however were lovely.

Popped in for a mid week feed and must say I was impressed. Quick and friendly service, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Will certainly be coming back

Food was good and very generous sizes. We visited on a Friday night so there was live music and a great atmosphere! Pool table there too which is always a bonus!

Amazing food, seafood platter was brilliant. The share platter plus a single tastes platter was a perfect amount for 4 adults to share. A great spot for a cold beer after a nice walk along cataract gorge. We’ll be back here for dinner next time we’re in Launceston for sure

Had dinner there and had the BEST parmigana that I've had for ages
All enjoyed their dinners as well. The service was a bit slack.that is my only complaint.

Went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and we were told the would be a 30 to 40 minutes wait on our meal even though the restaurant was not even half full! To top it off when the meals did arrive they were both only just warm. The coffee was great.

Hey, how ya going? Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Cool little pub vibe and good vegetarian options. We ordered the croquettes, pizza bread and chips. The croquettes were the stand out, packed with unusual ingredients for a croquette but all worked together nicely. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Nice place with beautiful old style decor at the bar and the back room. The food is delicious. The stuffed pepper is really nice though a bit small in size. The Tasmanian salmon is really good and cooked perfectly. The dark chocolate ganache for dessert was a great ending.

Could not fault meal, best parmy I think we have eaten, staff friendly, and a lovely warm cosy atmosphere.
Word if advise skip lunch if having the Tuesday parmy night, massive meal.

What a great place nice atmosphere the food was awesome and didn't cost a fortune the staff were very nice and most importantly for me it is very wheelchair friendly although the loo could be a bit bigger lol couldn't swing a cat in there haha will definitely go back there.

Food ok, service very poor. It’s hard to eat a meal with no cutlery.still wondering what happened there. Definitely won’t be a return customer.

Best parma in town. U can choose 3 different toppings and the meals are so huge that girls can share.

This place is rather amazing. It is built inside of the old Penny Royal Watermill that was built in 1849 by Andrew gatenby. The restaurant uses great local produce to make their meals as fresh as possible. They helped my son as he is dairy free, gluten free, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan, nut free and is allergic to eggs they made him a delicious bowl of water which he really enjoyed.

Food was great. Long wait between ordering and receiving. Then the share plates came out at same time as entrees. So overall the serving of meals in a timely manner let them down.

Breakfast Menu enjoyed (loved) by us all. Super friendly, helpful staff. Meals arrived quickly and probably the best smashed avocado I've ever had (and I've eaten many!) Perfectly poached eggs, fresh avocado and dukkah. Everyone else's was just as amazing!
Coffee was also delicious! Thanks so much
