Junction Motel New Norfolk Accommodation-Official Site reviews
46Really cute little motel, really enjoyed our stay. The owner is lovely and the place has a nice atmosphere
Stumbled upon this amazing place while exploring New Norfolk with my partner. We stayed for dinner, cocktails, desert (and a couple of games of chess!). It has easily been the highlight of our trip to Tassie! We can’t wait to visit again and next time stay at the motel.
Funky hotel, art deco, great breakfast, very down to earth hosts, and a collection of amazing deco artifacts
Highly recommended! The owner and staff are all great, very hospitable,
and accomodating. The food and booze are all to die for. The place is near woolies, mccas, and near the town proper which has restaurants of all sort. Easy walk to Saturday farm market and has a scenic walk from motel to esplanadel love the cat (ebony). Will definitely come back
We'd been staying in a campervan and needed a few nights in real beds - and with some availability at the Junction Hotel we were in luck. Both my wife and I were completely surprised by the vibrant hotel - not at all what we expected when driving into New Norfolk. Tim was a great host, and you'd be crazy to miss the bar snacks and drinks. We'll stay again next time we visit Tasmania.
Comfortable and clean accomodation, amazing food, good wine, lovely and hospitable owner and staff! I will miss you Tim and Benny
Over priced for the type of room.
Not cleaned properly.
Parking was hard with a big car when they let mini buses and trailers in.
Bed was comfy, and the staff were friendly
With a broken down van in New Norfolk, we needed a place to stay for a few days. New Norfolk is such a sweet place. We were fortunate enough to stay at the Junction Motel. Tim and Benny were some of the most lovely humans ever, being generous of beautiful food, drink, laughs, stories and history, out of the goodness of their hearts. Faith in humanity restored. The room had everything we needed, and the decor was so welcoming and vibrant. Thank you for everything you lovely souls. Hope to see you again sometime.
Really comfortable bed, excellent complimentary brekkie, simple but well provisioned rooms, lots of little touches that make it clear that they really care about the place.
All the staff I met were helpful and friendly.
What rude and aggressive behaviour from management.
My husband stayed here for work for a few weeks but after a miscommunication with his business about a booking the staff spoke with him in a hostile and confrontational manner, even though my husband indicated he would clarify the misunderstanding at his end. In frustration my husband did slam the door after the employee had walked away. Then the Manager burst into his room without warning or knocking and abused him, yelling and swearing at him! Outrageous. I wouldn't feel safe staying there. ”
This place was recommended to me by one of the local antique shops. The lady said if I wanted something a bit different this was the place to stay. I am so glad I took her advice! It's like a toy shop for grownups!
If you like quirky, this place is for you - it is like retro heaven with all the great decorations. Tim was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The rates are very reasonable and I consider we got great value for money.
We booked in for 1 night.loved the quirky motel and friendly staff so decided to stay another night.we went exploring and decided to stay another 2 nights.this Motel may not be everyone's cup of tea but it definitely was ours.room was clean, staff were great, breakfast exceeded any continental breakfast we've had at other motels. If you want boring stay elsewhere if you want different stay here. Thank you Tim and staff for creating a very quirky motel with lots of character.we will definitely be back. Norel and Wayne room 25
It's a great place which I feel like home. Tasty breakfast, clean rooms, well behaved dog, cute cat and friendly people.
A really interesting Motel, decor in our room is a mix of 1920 to 1950, all restored and looking good. Little kitchen, lounge, bathroom and Queen sized bedroom, comfy mattress and plenty spare blankets. Continental breakfast in a well set-up diningroom. Laundry down the hall. A good place to stop over.
My preferred place to stay when I'm in the area. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Tim has always provided great service
High on quirkyness low on functionality.
Posatives + Quirky decore and friendly staff. Short walk to main street.
Negatives - Bathroom tiny and cramped, Wifi useless, Noisy road.
Quirky establishment full of interesting artifacts. Accommodation was clean and tidy and the hosts very helpful. Breakfasts were fantastic with lots to choose from. A short uphill walk to the town with several interesting places to check out. Very reasonable prices if booked direct with the establishment and not through a third party. Highly recommended.
I'm a return customer to this motel & would recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly & comfortable stay! The property has large rooms with comfy beds; parking at your door; very unique & quirky decor throughout the grounds gives this place such an individual and homely vibe. All the necessary amenities available plus helpful info about the local area. Thank you Tim & Benny!
I would recommend the Junction Motel to all visitors. We came to stay a night still here and thinking about staying here instead of Hobart. Easy enough to travel half hour then the hassles of city parking. Great place to stay.
