Iluka Tavern

The staff at the Tavern were absolutely amazing! They were so accomodating for my large booking, especially as the booking was on a long weekend. Everyone working the night we were there went above and beyond to make sure everyone had the best night. I can’t recommend them enough!

What a surprise, was expecting usual pub grub and was so happy that this place delivers excellent food cooked and delivered with care.

Simple but delicious chowder followed by a perfectly cooked fish of the day. My partner commented that the crayfish pate was unique and tasty. Will be back.

Great friendly service and beautiful meals! Oven baked ocean Trout meal was so flavoursome and cooked perfectly with crispy skin. Rib Eye open steak sandwich was fantastic as well. Awesome lunch thank you…

Worth a visit purely for the Malting Lagoon beer, made in some local guys kitchen, they say. The depth of taste would support more alcohol, but it's a great flavour.

We were holidaying in Launceston. After going/walking through scenic walks we were very hungry so went for dinner at Iluka tavern. We found the service was good and food was okay. It's close to the city centre.

Came in on a quiet Thursday afternoon for lunch. Got the porterhouse steaks and a glass of Pinot noir. A fantastic pub meal- just what we needed after a big hike!:) thank you Iluka Tavern

Had a great local traditional creamy Irish ale. Food had a couple vego options. They have a pool table and can sit outside with dogs

A great "local" atmosphere especially on Thursday happy hour. A great credit to the great little town of Coles Bay

The Iluka tavern serves good honest pub fare. The onion rings were surprisingly good, and the chicken Parmy (with choice of sauce) was pretty impressive also. Not usually my first choice in dinner options, but they did it really well. Great prices on the wine list also.

Wow delicious cider and beer at the most delicious prices we've ever paid Australia wide, and the sin is it's on tap. They are charging 5 star prices.probably 200% or more markup.

The waitress was absolutely lovely. But that was about it. The Parma obviously had been pre-cooked and then simply reheated and the steak was cold and and fatty and overpriced for the quality. On the upside the chips were nice and the herb cheese bread was hot.

Best pub meal in a long time. Great friendly staff even though they were busy.
Would love to visit again.

Great for Kids as there is a play room inside.however, average meals. Not alot to choose from and very basic meals.

Basic tavern with bar, restaurant and kids play area set in a nice location. I had fish and chips (flake) at $24 a serve. It was pretty average and tasteless. Even though I'd be happy to return, next time I'll go try the local fish and chip shop.

Not pretentious at all. Solid pub food no frills no fuss. Only a few beer and wine selections but i get the impression they don't give a damn.

Environment and views are good. Good variety of food. The fish of the day (pan seared salmon) and pasta of the day (fettuccine Napolitana) were too salty for me.
