What a lovely place to stay a real credit to the owners the upgrade is really well done comfortable bed huge rooms and lovely staff!

Perfect location to easily access everything in town. Rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy.

Amazing location with in walking distance of everything. There were four of us and both rooms and bathrooms were very big, clean and have a modern furniture. Everything in the hotel was quality, even continental breakfast in the room was so good. Also the newspaper was delivered to our rooms every morning.
We had a great ocean view and if you have a problem carrying your luggage upstairs the staff are more then happy to help you.
We will definitely come back.

The beautiful heritage Ikon Hotel offers 5 star accommodation at a truly affordable rate. The rooms are massive and have been totally refurbished in a clean, modern, design. I can’t imagine anything else in Byrnie offering such value for money. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat (and I’m VERY particular where choosing accommodation is concerned). An array of restaurants are within walking distance - and Laura on Reception is a gem at helping you find one!

A very old local hotel with major renovations to modernise the rooms. Friendly staff, massive room and bathroom, very clean. A minor negative if you have joint issues was a couple of flights of stairs, but great views from the room. Centrally located

Massive clean rooms, good central location! It's a heritage building so no lifts or air conditioning, other than that great experience!

We had room 1, it is massive. Everything works, well appointed, large shower. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Great location, large rooms, comfortable bed and a decent breakfast variety which is included in the room rate. Lady at the reception is always nice and welcoming.

This is not a fully serviced hotel. However the room we had was a great space, very large. The bathroom was huge and looked recently refurbished. The staff were very amenable. Reception is not twenty four hours.

Central location, within walking distances to the beach, restaurants and shops. Friendly and accommodating staff. Spotless and spacious rooms, with quality furnishings and fittings.

I had booked the Ikon for last Friday 10/12/21 to stay for my nieces Leavers Dinner at Burnie and for Grace to dress and leave from there.
Laura (Ikon) went over and beyond to help us, gave us a larger room and if we needed any help they were there on hand, Laura even offered the balcony on next level for photos to be done and overlooking the sea. Laura allowed the hairdresser, photographer and family to be visiting during the day.
Myself and my sister Julie can never thank Laura and The Ikon enough for the help that they did in making Grace's day special.

I would highly recommend The Ikon to anyone, and if you are looking at a special moment for photos etc please contact The Ikon, those beautiful floor mirrors are ideal for photos along with the balcony and the foyers.

My hotel of choice when I visit Burnie, and not just for the excellent bottle shop next door

Such a great room. It is huge. All the conveniences that you would expect. Comfy bed and sofa. No air conditioning, but this has not been an issue.
We would love to come back.

Wonderful staff, lovely and very large room, ideal for a family with either a teenager or two small kids. Tv's on both sides of the divided room which is ideal for the kids to do their own thing. The internet worked every time. The hotel is in the perfect location near the shopping mall and close to the beach and restaurants. We left an I-phone charger which was promptly sent without charge to our home address. I would stay there again.

Absolutely beautiful staff and accommodation. Gorgeous old building with press tin ceilings in the foyer. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

Great place. Laura was awesome on check in! The only down fall were the showers. They need serious updating. No pressure and and uneven coverage. Recommend it for Central stay in Burnie.

Icon is an amazing hotel but you need to book well in advance to be sure of getting a broom. It's a fantastic place to stay
