Holm Oak Vineyards reviews
46We were so impressed with the amazing wines on offer. Narelle was such a good host and was very knowledgeable. Great cellar door experience.
Awesome place to enjoy Tasmania’s best wines with great staff to make it a special day.
It’s a must do if in the area
Had the most amazing experience here with their premier wine tasting. They have incredible wines and I couldn't resist leaving without a purchasing a box of four bottles. The customer service is amazing and the dogs and pigs make the experience twenty times better than I ever could have imagined. Huge thanks to everyone behind the amazing experience that can be experienced here it was my favourite part of my holiday to Tasmania.
Beautiful garden complete with pigs to throw an apple for. The wines are great and care is taken not to obscure the senses with perfume or coffee. A wonderful experience.
I havent actually been there im in the middle of maths class but my friend just handed me a pen that said holm oak vineyards so here i am writing a review.add my insta @masliin heres a photo i drew of my brother
Great spot for a tasting, quiet peaceful setting and staff were absolutely lovely. Great wines, good price and the DIY cheese & wine charcuterie boards is a nice point of difference that supports local producers.
Wander in the gardens and feed the pigs, could have stayed here for hours.
Holm oak is another fave of mine. The pig & pooch moscato is the best you will try and i buy it all the time
Holm Oak is the labour of love of dynamic duo, Bec Duffy and her husband Tim Duffy. Since 2013 they have followed their dream of crafting delicious expressions of cool-climate Tasmanian wines. Bec is the winemaker and Tim is viticulturist. Their complementary skills provide a vision to produce delicious wines that reflect their home, Tasmania’s pristine Tamar Valley, and their own personalities – honest, down to earth, genuine and authentic.
Excellent!
We choose the $20 option which gave us the showcase wines — good choice. Very nice. And then we went to the fridge and bought ourselves a very delicious cheese platter with smoked duck. All in all a delight
Came here with my husband and two children. My husband and kids had a wonderful time in the sensory garden where they got to pick fresh berries while I had a peaceful wine tasting experience. This place was worth the drive for me as they have the best Moscato.
Out of the dozen or so wineries open in the region we chose Holm Oak based on its Halliday reviews and they did not disappoint.
The tasting experience here is friendly, welcome and generous. There’s a choice of flights pitched at various cost and taste levels and the more expensive choice was well worth it - especially as they were happy to offer a few extras if you were trying to lock in which chardonnay or pinot to purchase.
No café here as such, but they do have a very good larder from which you can purchase reasonably priced cheese, meats and extras, and then snack on them at your table as you taste.
There a nice view over the vineyards, a couple of dogs to pat, and great hosts.
The perfect wine tasting experience.
Wonderful cellar door and delicious wines. Their range of Pinot Noir is outstanding. Shipping wine interstate was easy. I'll definitely be a returning customer!
Beautiful location, friendly and very helpful staff, cute piggies and amazing wine! Great visit:)
It’s a real pity that I can only give this place 5 stars. The only thing lovelier than the staff are views of the landscape. With generous tasting pours, overhead galahs, fresh raspberries and blueberries to be picked, I honestly cannot fault this place. Coming here with my partner will be a memory I’ll cherish forever, and certainly a highlight of our trip to Tasmania. Thanks for having us.
Fabulous wine and impeccable service. I was so impressed with the customer service and attention to detail. There is a great and welcoming atmosphere just like when you visit a friends home. We loved the animals specifically Pinot the Pig and his mates little Pinot and Mayo.
It’s hard to pick my favourite wine you have to go there and try them all.
A lovely cellar door and spot for tasting or lunch (advisable to book ahead as it's busy, especially as tourism starts to return).
We didn't have a booking on a Sunday, but staff were kindly able to pop us outside for a tasting, which had a lovely view of the garden (and the cute pigs in the pen). Tasting is $10 for 4 x wine choices, and we were also treated to 2 bonus ones. Wine tasting was all brought out together and presented nicely on one sheet. The sweet vineyard dogs also joined us for a while.
We opted for some cheese snacks with our tasting as the van is very meat focused. Cheese varies in price and there's a good range of options.
Wizard Chardonnay and the pinot were the two tasting favourites. Recommend you add this to your itinerary!
Fantastic wines and cellar door. The staff are incredible too. We enjoyed their wine a little too much and had to walk home. Unfortunately at close it was absolutely pouring so one of the lovely staff drove us home. Their subscription is great value too.
Bec and Tim
Fantastic vineyard to visit!
We made our way to Holm Oak while visting Tassie early 2020.
Nice part of the world, would return at anytime.
Delivery just arrived, eagerly anticipated as always! Thank you very much to Bec, Tim and the Holm Oak team. Your wine is delicious. All the best, Brad and Lisa.
Amazing! Nice setting, friendly staff and great service.we had tasting and a wonder.only downside is only limited food options outside the beautiful, looks like another guy is doing the business.
Amazing service! We had a great time on our tasting, almost a VIP experience. Ended up leaving with a few bottles to take back home. After the tasting we went out to feed the pigs with apples, they were so happy! You can also pick berries and fruits from their garden. Highly recommend!
