Hearth Pizza & Small Plates reviews
40Had breakfast which was great so came back for dinner. Again very tasty food. Will definitely be back.
Today I went for a quick dinner. Pizza base was fine. The toppings were not as nice as expected. Mainly supermarket goods.
Based on the prices my bill was supposed to be $39.80. However I was charged $42.00 plus Surcharge. Personally I will not return.
Very good food and coffee. And the reataurant is very beautiful and the fireplace in a cold weather was just amazing. I enjoyed everything thoroughly
I had an excellent Eggs Benedict, with the smoked salmon option, along with good coffee here. Good value coffee and egg/bacon roll options are also available. Recommended.
Had meals here twice while visiting Hobart and everything was great. Staff are very friendly and the food was delicious
maps opening hours say you’re open from 5PM-9 Tuesday. Walked all the way from centre of Hobart to find you’re closed. Signs out on street, fairy lights on… disappointed
UPDATE - unfortunately we have now returned home, but as a token of your good customer service/reply I have amended my review.
Pizza was fresh and delicious, superb soup and amazing cheesy chilli chips, and a nice red. Well done, compliments to the chef and wait staff!
Hearth is close to our office and I'm always first to volunteer to go get the team coffees on Friday. Everyone else thinks I'm doing them a favour, but I'm sitting by the fire, sipping my coffee, doing the WORDLE, eating shortbread and chatting to the lovely barista. The only regret is that he's fast at his job and I don't have to wait very long.
We had a lovely breakfast on the sunny deck at Hearth. Good value, friendly staff and great coffee. It's on a quiet street just around the corner from the busy Salamanca restaurant strip. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice enough food however it took over an hour from when we placed our order to be served our food. If it was busy I could understand however it wasn't, the cafe was roughly a third capacity. Maybe they have staffing issues? Hard to tell TBH. In any case, it's good enough if you're not in a hurry and want a cheaper option than what's on offer down at Salamanca.
One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. On a delicious gluten free base! Yum! Wish we knew what it was made of, maybe rice flour?
Loved this place it was small servings of great food at a good price. Will definitely be going back for breakfast as they open at 7.30.
We stopped for breakfast on our last day in Hobart. The staff were so friendly! A little bit pricey for what we received in terms of portion sizes and ingredients, but regardless enjoyable. Thank you!
Yeah nah. Thought this place would be amazing based on reviews but failed to live up to expectations. The guy running the place was welcoming but I'm pretty sure it was just him seating people and cooking. The pizza bases are store bought but they were ok but not worth 5 stars. They took about 30 mins to come out and there were only 2 tables in the restaurant. We almost left but then they did come out. Plenty of other options out there.
Wandered in with two friends on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of baking pizza. The restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 7: 00 pm) but we managed to snag a table
Nice place
Good food
See u next time

Fantastic food and service. Best gluten free pizza base ever. Hidden gem of a restaurant! Highly recommend this venue.
Delicious! Broccolini is superb - the feta is amazing. Calamari was wonderful. Four Season and Salami pizza were phenomenal. The pizza base is amazing!
Great customer service. Quick meal turn around.
Very disappointing. We visited based on the online review, and can say it was nothing like we were expecting. The place was quite empty bar 2 other groups. We waited about 10 min to be seated. Over an hour for a broccolini starter to arrive. Then another 15 min at least for garlic bread. Our table by this stage was the only one in the shop left, and we were avoided. By 830 we were having to leave and asked how long 2 pizzas would be.pizzas were brought out 5 min later, but the waitress was getting in the signs as we ate. No apology, no discount, no explanation. Food was ok, but wouldn't wait over an hour and a half for this. I'd pop down the road to be fair if kitchens weren't about to close!
Great restaurant. They have many delicious options and found the pizza base exceptional.
Finished three capes and after eating dehydration meals, this was the best food with all we wanted.
Week nights local beers and pizzas are half price. We had the spicy prawn pizza (very spicy, perfect crust was probably spun in the air properly, delicious, best in Hobart), salt n pepper calamari (best we have tasted), broccolini with almonds and fetta (superb - fetta was of excellent quality as you might get in Athens) and a date and ginger pudding with ice cream which was also excellent with a real sprig of young fresh mint to eat with it and plate dusted with chocolate/cinnamon. We went at 5: 15 on a Wednesday for an after-work dinner and will definitely go back.
