Excellent Jo & Ken. Fabulous place to stay with great hosts. Highly recommend if you're looking for B&B accommodation in Strahan who can also organise the Gordon River Cruise for you. Thanks

What a joy to stay at Harrison House. Ken and Jo were brilliant hosts. The room was immaculate and so well presented and comfortable. Their knowledge and guidance of the area was very much appreciated. A beautiful home and a very homey, traditional B&B. And to top it off, breakfast was yummy, thanks Ken, your eggs and sourdough biscuits were perfect!

The best decision my friend & I made was to book a B&B in Strahan -Harrison House. What a gem of a place.the perfect location hidden away surrounded by beautiful gardens with lots of nooks & crannies to explore.
Having stayed in many types of accommodation in our 70+ years we were truly blown away by the immediate feeling we were back home when the owners Joanne & Ken greeted us with their hearty & warm welcome. They were the perfect hosts ensuring we were comfortable & wanting for nothing. Suggesting things to do was the icing on the cake making our stay the best experience meeting many of the local people along the way while cruising the Gordon River, calling into the pub & restaurant.

Having spent 10 days travelling around Tasmania and staying at very nice hotels and b&b's, by far Harrison House come out head and shoulders above the rest.
It was not simply because of the beautifully appointed rooms, the scrumptious breakfasts and lovely grounds the building is set in, but the welcoming one receives from Ken and Joanne the owners, their genuine interest in you as a person, and what they could do to help make your stay comfortable and memorable.

We just spent 4 wonderful days at Harrison House. Located in a lovely location, the room, the service and the breakfast were just fabulous. It felt more like we had stayed overnight with friends than with strangers. Breakfast is a real highlight and although I didn't have the scrambled eggs they have won many hearts and the engmuffrolls (they are rolls based on a English muffin recipe) were a delight. It was at breakfast where we all chatted and solved the problems of the world and discussed the adventures of the day before and plans for that day.

Strahan itself is just a magical place and we will come back and we will definitely stay at Harrison House!

. This is a classy, warm and comfortable, spotlessly clean and superbly renovated early 1900s villa and Ken and Jo are the most wonderful warm and engaging hosts. The rooms are extremely well appointed and the bed was sooo comfortable after a wonderful day cruising the magnificent Gordon River. Breakfasts were delicious with great expresso coffee to finish. This was our favourite accommodation in two weeks touring Tasmania, not just for the property but the wonderful people Ken and Jo are.
Do yourself a favour and stay at this world class B& B in beautiful Strahan.

We had incredibly warm and attentive hosts who could not do enough for us. We had a personal emergency and with very little notice they arranged private transport to Hobart for us. Breakfasts were delicious and all other recs were excellent.

Best B&B experience ever. Harrison House is immaculately clean, beds are super comfy and those breadrolls at breakfast.superb. What made this stay most memorable is the hospitality that Jo and Ken extended.

Will definitely come again when we are visiting Strahan.

This was our very first time in a hosted B&B. Wow! Wow! Wow! Ken & Jo have certainly set the bar high for the rest. We didn't know what to expect being our first time so were a touch nervous about a new experience. The moment we met Jo and Ken our fears just melted away. They are so warm and welcoming and we felt completely at home from the very first hello. We didn't feel one bit uncomfortable in their home and our bedroom with private bathroom was absolutely amazing and so comfy. Lovely King size bed and huge shower with lots of pressure. Kens breakfast was amazing and they even organised our Gordon River boat trip. We even sat up late each night in the super comfy communal lounge interacting with the other 2 couples staying there sharing our travel experiences and laughed and laughed so much. We even gained some new friends whom we are going to stay in touch with. Thanks Ken & Jo for an amazing experience and allowing us to stay in your home.

A beautiful home in a quiet and peaceful area just out of town. Ken and Jo are the perfect hosts. They always make you feel so welcome. Native birds enjoying the gardens and wildlife at night all make this B & B a memorable experience. Our go to every time we visit Strahan.

We loved this place and these folk well before the moment we pulled up. Jo had kindly sent messages to check on our well-being before we arrived (as it was snowing and we had stayed at Cradle Mountain the previous night). This was an indicator of the level of hospitality Jo and Ken provide.
From the rooms to the roaring fire (in a totally relaxing lounge), to the most comfy bed EVER, to the beautiful linen and to pillows like NO other EVER……. Our 2 night stay was just perfect.
These guys even made a dinner booking for us and even sorted out our World Heritage Cruise on the Gordon River (N. B.the RED Boat). Additional to this, these two cooked us two incredible breakfasts…. Which you ordered (from a menu) the night before AND nominated the time that suits you. There is a coffee/tea nook to make a cuppa, and thoughtfully there is a fridge to store your local produce and wine for your stay.
These guys were helpful, efficient, fun, knowledgeable and great company. They have three rooms available and I know I will be booking our family in for a stay in the summer. This trip was incredibly memorable, and much of this was because we chose Harrison House.
**Booking a Dinner at Risby Cove is a MUST and don’t forget to buy yourself a piece or Huon Pine from Morrison’s Mill at the end of the cruise. There is also a fabulous local play after all of this this - performed by the locals - The Ship That Never Was! This just tops of an incredible day. You have everything to look forward to!

Beautiful B&B with lots of lovely extras. Located in a nice quiet street. Jo and Ken are the perfect hosts. Ken makes an amazing breakfast and catered well to my gluten free requirements. Can not recommend this accommodation more highly.

Such a terrific place to stay. The view from my bedroom window was amazing, the house is lovingly furnished, the home cooked breakfast was outstanding and the hospitality of the hosts was impeccable. My work not regret was that I had to leave this slice of heaven. Thank you so much for making stay so special!

Very friendly hosts. Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Had full size billiard table and relaxing lounge areas. We would like to spend some nights here to experience the west coast in winter.
Thank you the owner Ken. He is simply great with passion to run the place.
