My group of 6 came for a wine tasting. We were served by Alisha and she was wonderful. Knows her stuff and was super warm and welcoming

Very nice looking winery hence the 2 stars but wines are awful. The pinit gris was the best and it was not good. Most left a horrible chemical flavor in the mouth. Some had a good nose but all disappointed on the palate. Avoid the natural wines at all costs.

Highly recommend, full compliments to the chef and team. The staff were very polite and friendly, the meals were amazing and very delicious. Alex at the wine tasting was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and overall very polite. In the end there were not many wines that we didn't like, and ended up shipping a dozen home. Thank you for a memorable experience, we will be back real soon.

A beautiful tasting experience hosted by Brie. Ghost Rock Winery is our favourite Tasmanian winery. Can’t recommend their cellar door highly enough enough! Next time, we’ll dine at the restaurant, too. Thanks again for the wonderful tasting, Brie!

Had the most amazing meal today. Shared our meal amongst each other and couldn't fault anything. Enjoyed the wines that accompanied our meal.
Definately take the time to visit.

After a very enjoyable and informative wine tasting with Esther, we had a delicious lunch which included, roasted beets, chicken liver parfait and shared the duck breast and a side of cauliflower. Service, food, wine and atmosphere were excellent. We'll be back.

Firstly I’d like to say that the home grown wine was lovely and most varieties can be ordered by the glass. The location - looking across the vines to the sea is fantastic and if sunny on a winters day it’s wonderful since it all faces north. You can eat inside or outside on the patio, although they say you should choose before arriving. DISAPPOINTINGLY, the food is overpriced for what it is and the choice of dishes isn’t all that great. The menu itself is on brown paper and not easy to read. There were two of us friends, one drinking and with a meal, the other non drinking with an entree. However they will only halve the overall bill and won’t let you pay individually which seems to be against contract law to me - however you do get an email advising of this beforehand. Seems somewhat lazy to me. Despite the lovely setting I must say I found it all a bit pretentious. Not recommended for a meal but wine tasting would be ok.

Nothing to fault with our wine tasting. The wines were all delicious and the staff member guiding our tasting was extremely friendly and had great recommendations. The cellar door was beautiful, we had a great experience.

Beautiful winery. Food is not bad for winery restaurant standards. We liked the supernatural Pino and got a bottle.

A very good winery should showcase it's wares with excellent food & Ghost Rock certainly does. Fresh oysters with yuzu pearls followed by the slow cooked lamb. Our friends had the octopus & duck & were suitably impressed.

Had lunch on a Saturday afternoon on an outdoor table, with our dog, and were made to feel very welcome.
We had natural oysters, lamb shoulder with potatoes and a side of sprouts. Oysters were meaty, delicious and fresh. Lamb was succulent and the twice cooked potatoes crispy, and there was a lot of both. We probably only finished about 60% of this course but would have kept eating if we could! The roasted sprouts were well seasoned and very good, going very well with the fattier parts of the lamb. Glasses of sparkling rose and sav blanc accompanied so well I bought bottles of both. Nice job guys

When we arrived, all seemed well. We sat and had a nice time while waiting to be served. We were a bit disappointed to hear straight away that they no longer had a platter available to share and, were quickly informed on arrival, there wasn't any white wine available to drink and thats fine but prehaps that should have been discuss in the very detailed, 'do's and dont's' written assessment, we received after booking our 'reservation' on the 'Codes of conduct' on how to behave and what is to be expected upon/while visiting them.saying so much about that but missing the boat on the menu, seemed strange.
It was very detailed and abruptly worded scripture of what was to be expected of our visit. I have never visited anywhere that has stated such a strict protocol, even through COVID times. This message put a dampener on our day even before we arrived. Maybe it would have been more accepted if it was worded with a little more niceness and approachability.

We were then greeting by slight unfriendly staff who seemed like they just wanted to make as much money out of each table in the shortest time possible. They seemed vague and indifferent and lacked a joie de vivre in their approach.
The food ended up being fantastic and the wine was superb. Everything was well priced but it was such a shame the service and professionalism wasn't quite there.
With 45 minutes to go before knock-off, at 4pm, we started seeing and hearing snickering comments from staff. Eyerolls and remarks from staff, was very off-putting. It was evident the staff wanted to leave early and wanted us out asap. Even though we had purchased a second bottle of sparkling while fixing up the bill, we decided to get up and leave as the service was non-exsistant, upon finishing our bottle.
When we turned to say, 'Thank you and goodbye', we were presented with an side-eye goodbye from on of the girls. The ladies made no effort in thanking us or making us feel like we were welcome in any way for coming. There was no appreciation or warmth to thank us for being there and it was such a disappointment. It come across very rude and immature and it will impact the busniess if this keeps up.
GHOSTROCK is such a beautiful spot, has such beautiful food and amazing scenery, its just a shame about their strict, 'codes of conduct' beforehand message, and a feeling like we were replaceable. A lack of professionalism there, while being present and feeling rushed out in order for the staffs knock off time to approach prematurely, before the website says was shut, was a disappointment.
I would recommend some innovative, strong customer service staff meetings, some niceness and warmth in order for this business to continue to grow and be successful, otherwise it will flunk.

Great food, great price, unfortunately very poor professional customer service.

Brilliant vineyard - fantastic range of wines. Tastings are a great experience - top quality wines, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant is also highly recommendation - the rillettes, chicken liver parfait, duck and cheese platter are standouts. Beautiful view across the vineyards out to the sea as well prefect place to unwind
