Georges Bay Apartments reviews
39Nice clean rooms, but we were in the suite at the front of the hotel which means lots of road traffic noise and a direct view onto the highway. In addition, the Wi-Fi signal is honestly abysmal on all our phones and so we eventually gave up. In short, if you're counting on the internet to do some work, you're out of luck. Come on guys, it's the 21st century.
Fantastic studios, lovely and clean.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were comfy and cosy.
Has a bbq area as well!
A night of luxury on the road. Where do I start.very spacious and current accommodation. Real furniture you can sit and relax on, a bed I'd kill for, TV that is a smart tv, internet that works consistently, BBQs and kids play areas you actually use. Bright, clean loo and bathroom. Only criticism is ditch the hand held showers these are 2010 and that's where they belong.
Honest have a day off holidaying and stay here
Small fully renovated studio apartment. Would not recommend a studio apartment if you're staying more than a couple of nights. Had everything you need but on a very small scale. No cupboard or hanging space. Property very well maintained with excellent facilities.bbq area laundry etc. Close to town
The apartment was stylishly decorated and the bed was super comfortable. Great location! Would definitely recommend for closeness to Bay of Fires and Binalong Bay. Excellent fish and chips just down the road into town.
The rooms were very nice, albeit a little dark even during the daytime. The location is great, with an easy walk to nearby restaurants. The guest wifi signal strength was very poor in our room, which is a shame because the 4G reception was equally spotty.
Great apartment, everything we needed. They supplied bedding for the porta cot which was unexpected, so convenient and saved us unpacking car.
Very homely feel.
Beds super comfy.
Very clean and tidy. Newly refurbished rooms with basic facilities. Tv, microwave, jug, toaster and fridge. BBQ area across from the rooms.
Just a 20min walk to town.
Lovely and clean however the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Have to give only 3 stars as we did not have any cooking appliances. This venue is marketed as apartments however we must have chosen the wrong room. We had no cooking appliances or anywhere to wash dishes except for the bathroom sink. Since being threatened with a $150 cleaning fine we were forced to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink.most unhygienic especially in these Covid times.we were forced to use the outdoor BBQ to cook our evening meal. The BBQ appliance was at least 100 years old, had no instructions and was quite filthy.
This room is really only a hotel/motel room and not an apartment. We were also disturbed by washing machines and cloth dryers going till after 10pm at night and 8am in the morning as the laundry is adjacent to our room.hope this can be amended for the next occupants.
Enjoyed a break from our travelling van with an overnight stay here!
Beautifully clean, tidy and comfortable ….
The team there were helpful and even gave us an extended check out!
Thanks for a wonderful night Stephen ️
What a fantastic place to stay. Absolutely spotless. Only complaint was the hard bed. Otherwise was so worth the stay and so cheap
We spent one night only but it was a great experience for a last minute booking. Great staff.
This venue has recently changed its name and appearance, having had a mid-life refresh of high order. The rooms are of high specification, and cleanliness. The booking-in system is automated, arguably for COVID safety but also for modern methodology, but the staff can be contacted as necessary. The turn-off from the main road has to be well checked, and/or the GPS trusted. The BBQ is well set and solar lighting turns on at sunset.
So very impressed on the spaciousness of the two bedroom apartment at a budget price and so clean too!
We got the room with view which is nice. Small apartment but it has everything you need. Comfortable bed and clean.
Very well thought out small complex of apartments. Great amenities including laundry room, sheltered picnic area and playground.
In the room, the wireless charging lamps were a great touch, electric blanket, choice of pillows, all great. Very clean and modern accommodation.
(One star removed for noisy, ineffective exhaust fan in the bathroom, bed was a bit hard and the fridge was very noisy.)
Straight across the road to stroll along the beach. Would definitely recommend!
Can't believe how perfect this place suited our family. Very comfortable, modern apartments with facilities to cook food and relax. Friendly service that accommodated our needs for a Portacot.
Our 2yr old was at the on-site playground almost half our holiday and he could run free (mostly) on the grounds. Close to town if your ok for a short scenic walk.
Definitely would come back
Comfortable, great views and easy to find. Key lock wasnt easy to access and wifi was very spotty but thankfully was in great company.
180$ a night for two bedrooms I think it was a good price. The lounge was big and the bathrooms were good the beds were confy and i think its worth it to stay here.
We had four nights booked with Homelea as part of our two week trip around Tasmania which we were extremely excited about. Unfortunately Government Covid-19 regulations put an end to our trip two days before we were to sail on Spirit. We had booked at four motels for the duration of our trip and three of them gladly refunded our deposit. Homelea had taken the full $552 and after emailing them to explain our situation I followed up with a phone call and was told that the possibility of a refund would have to be referred to “the boss” for a decision. After no response after a week I called and spoke to the same person who said there was still no decision. I commented that the all the other motels had been happy to refund and he told me “if that’s your attitude there will be no refund! ” and promptly hung up in my ear. This person who I believe was indeed “the boss” never had any intention of refunding us at all and was unbelievably rude. I would strongly advise anyone to find somewhere else to stay.
