Frogmore Creek Cellar Door & Restaurant

The service and wine was good so much so I bought quite a bit. Was pretty average we still had to pay for the whole group tasting (7 people) even though we purchased over $200 worth of wine. No other vineyard we visited throughout the day charged for tasting after purchasing.

Stopped in here for lunch. Did not have a reservation, but were seated no problem. The wine tasting was free with a purchase of lunch. The Riesling and Chardonnay were delicious and all our meals were amazing! Especially the truffle potato salad!
Our waitress Ella was sooo lovely and very attentive. Thanks Ella!
The view was gorgeous as well. We loved everything about this place! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Meals are touted as being entree sized, but there was plenty on one plate. Can recommend the beef brisket and the corned wallaby. The desserts are lovely!

We visited with some Chinese visitors a few weeks ago. We were served by a Mandarin speaking person behind the bar, when we did the wine tasting. It was a pleasant surprise. He was very knowledgeable in wines, not only Australian wines but also wines in China fro different regions. Definitely recommend Mandarin speaking visitors for this reason.

We went to Frogmore with no expectations and were absolutely blown away with the level of beauty care and sophistication of how our meals were plated let alone taste.
These guys nailed everything staff were friendly our waitress had countless tables and never missed a beat.

Nice setting, but staff seemed like they were in a rush to move us along and did not seem open to questions. Not the most friendly experience on a quiet Monday. Wines were quite palatable.

I visited here as group reservation after 6 PM. Special dishes and wine were great except lamb (so dry).

Exceptional quality mains and desserts with the presentation being quirky and completely outstanding! Highly recommend but bookings are essential as they are often booked out. We learned the hard way and had to come back another day as they were completely full.

Frogmore Creek has the worst restaurant customer service I have ever experienced, and that is saying something considering we did not even get the restaurant! The restaurant had been personally recommended by a close friend, so we booked our table early and the family were looking forward to the experience.

Without any warning, about two weeks before the booking, we get an email generated from the booking engine advising the restaurant had cancelled our booking.

Frogmore Creek did not have the common courtesy to even put a quick note on the cancellation. No explanation, no apology.

End result, very disappointed family who now will tell everyone whom we hear is going to Tassie to avoid Frogmore Creek.

Your team's customer service needs a huge kick in the butt. Not good enough.

Came here for a wedding. The venue is home to amazing views, wine and food. The service was exceptional and attentive and the venue is a great space.

So pleased with our dining experience. The food was timely, cooked beautifully and very filling. Environment was calming yet colorful and The team were so frienldy and accomodating.

Loved this winery. Had lunch out on the deck - views and wine both amazing. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and would highly recommend lunch and a wine tasting.

Second time here. The food is spectacular as are the views. Make sure you leave room for dessert.

Beautiful scenery, not too far fun Hobart, and really good food with a twist. We had the corned wallaby, salmon gravalax, truffle potatoes, oysters, and scallops. They were all delicious but the highlight was the bread and butter!

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was actually one of the very few places we could get a table at on Good Friday without a booking and we didn't really think to go here in the first instance. While it isn't a cheap place, the food was creative (very much in the "Modern Australian" style), tasty and excellently presented. (Visit date: April 2019)
