Franklin Manor

Accommodation could be 4 star if some tired furniture was replaced. Breakfasts were not great and table service rather average.

The house has great potential but needs some upgrades in the rooms and our room was a bit small - the bath/shower situation needs looking into and the bed we slept on (or did not manage to sleep on) needs to be replaced without a doubt. Effort seems to have gone into refurbishing downstairs nicely and the property is beautiful but needs more work before it will be really comfortable instead of just pokey. Nice location and friendly management

We had a wonderful stay at Franklin Manor for 4 nights. It’s a beautiful old home with character. We loved the feel of the place, and the included breakfast was amazing - a great way to start each day!

Rooms are Beautiful, clean all with ensuites.
Breakfast is customised.
There are multiple lounges to sit and relax and use the FREE wifi.
Helped us book dinner on Boxing day.
Marcus also makes a mean homemade Kombucha.
Rooms have a bar fridge with tea/coffee.
I loved the fact this is an “Adults Only” accommodation, as I prefer a quieter place now that my kids have grown up without having little kids running around and screaming.

A lovely stay. Strahan the town itself to me was rather boring, so it was very lucky I picked this stunning hotel. We selected the king suite which had a very comfortable bed and room. We couldn't hear any neighbors through the halls or walls and I highly recommend to stay here if you don't want any screaming children running around.

Marcus the owner does a wonderful job on the delicious breakfast hamper he prepares for you personally.

We recently stayed at Franklin Manor. It is situated near the banks of the harbour and a picturesque walk into town. This is our second stay and it didn’t disappoint. Marcus provides a friendly welcome and is clearly passionate about Franklin Manor. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and the opportunity to sit and relax with friends in one of several lounge areas just adds to the ambiance. Our three night stay was most enjoyable and I would highly recommend Franklin Manor.

Right from the moment we walked in the door and the lovely greeting we got from the lady on the desk we New that this was a great place to stay, the house is beautiful, the rooms clean and the breakfast was fresh and filling, a very well run B&B and the best on our trip, recommend this place highly.

Lovely old building but the rooms are pokey and there is no noise insulation from your neighbours or corridor. Friendly staff. Breakfast is fruit and cereal.

No privacy! Very poor communication of staff. The walls are too thin to have an infant. We were refused entry with our 8 week old on arrival then charged a nights stay with no discussion. It is sold as a romantic get away. I hate to think what couples can hear between the walls. Would not recommend the place or staff.

Franklin Manor offered basic B&B & lacked warmth - in temperature & felt fairly soulless. Breakfast was extremely basic but once we 'discovered ' the boiled egg option it improved. It is clean and the bed was very comfortable. This has the potential to be so much more.

Absolutely gorgeous building and gardens. Welcoming hostess. Beautiful living areas to enjoy wine and cheese. Great breakfast in stunning dining room. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Walk to restaurants and wharf. Almost next door to beautiful park with trail to waterfall. No complaints.
