Elphin Motel and Serviced Apartments

Very rude old lady on reception. Wanted mum (who can’t walk, requires assistance) to go in and sign the check in form. Showed no empathy and questioned me like I was an imposter. Lol. The worst service (and person) I’ve encountered in Tasmania.
The room smells weird and there is no door on the main bedroom, just this cheap divider/partition you need to pull across. Actually this place reeks of cheap…

Wasn't impressed by this place. It was supposed to be a two bedroom. It was a one bedroom and they made another one, which I would of thought was a lounge. It had no door or windows in that room.

Handy to shopping centre, parking at door. Rooms clean & excellent shower. Receptionists very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay again. Prices variable.

Very conveniently situated, opposite Kmart and Cole's supermarket. 20 min walk to the AFL footy. The room was small, but ok for a one night visit!

Older style but still $A300 a night. Fairly basic but clean and bed was comfortable. Noisy. Some delivery trucks around 5am. Road noise too.

"Courtyard" very basic. Just a sloping back bit of grass behind units. No dividers for privacy. Very tired old sun umbrella. Still good to be able to get outside.

Fabulous service from Rose and her team. The apartments are great. I stayed at the property for 4 days and found it to be central to everything I needed.

The receptionist who checked me in was grumpy and rude. However, on the bright side, the receptionist who checked me out was polite. The location being beside Coles supermarket made it convenient for a quick shop

Clean and spacious, helpful staff, across the road from Coles, walking distance to the city. My tip is NOT to book an apartment with a courtyard - the "courtyard" is shared amongst all the different units, and you get random people walking past looking at you through the sliding door. Courtyard apartments are downstairs, and we were woken up by people stomping around upstairs at 6am. Book an apartment without a courtyard!

The apartment was spacious and very well presented in a convenient location. Great bathrooms and a huge family-sized TV and a very comfortable couch, dining table and beds. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend.

We have had many stays here over the last 7 years and it is in a very convenient location for us. We have never had any problems here either.

Very good location and rooms are very clean, price is reasonable for a three bedroom apartment, kitchen has everything. Had a good stay

The trip was for our Dad Harry’s 90th Birthday, On arrival John warmly welcomed us with the most lovely surprise of a room decorated with helium balloons it was so nice and Harry felt really special (thank you Anthea). The room was spotless, beds were really comfy with good quality linen and John & Anthea made us feel so welcome nothing was any trouble. Unfortunately Covid intervened in the trip but the team supported us and offered any assistance required. Can’t thank them enough and can’t wait to stay again.

Plenty of space and a great little courtyard out the back. Shopping centre and bottle shop across the road and the city park around the corner. Good option for a stay in Launceston if you want a kitchen and laundry.

Excellent place to stay in Launceston, very clean, well stocked, has all the amenities you need. I especially liked their bathroom lotions and washes - they smelled great and are vegan too! Would stay here again next time!

Clean, comfortable and warm. Staff were very accomodating organising extras for our kids to make the stay more pleasant.

Love this cute little units and quite convenient location. We were family of 6 from Melbourne and Brisbane, i recommend this apartment. Friendly staff & clean rooms.

Just rocked up to the motel in the evening after a long day on the road and Anthea found us a room. The unit was larger than normal and had all the amenities and also advised on a few places to eat within walking distance

Clean, comfortable. Lovely owners, Anthea & John, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We even got an upgrade. Thank you, we will definitely stay with you again

Family of four stayed in a three bed townhouse style apartment for a week in June 2021. It was a really comfortable and quiet home base for exploring Launceston and the north east. We will come back.
