53Apartments fine, but enjoy an early morning wake up call with all the house keeping lady’s outside gasbagging and smoking with their foghorn voices.
Perfect if you are arriving or departing via the spirit of tasmania as it's literally next door. I found it odd that only breakfast is available for guests and nothing else, although there are options a quickish walk or free cross river ferry ride away into Devonport CBD.
Location was perfect - right next to the Spirit of Tasmania. Room was very clean and cheap, and staff were very friendly. Great value for money - would highly recommend staying here!
Standard motel but provides a quick and easy sleep option before sailing without having to worry about packing up your camp gear. Was about a 3 mintute drive to the spirit of tas boarding area. Restaurant is closed but breakfast is still available. Parking is tucked away well off the street so your belongings are safe (if you're not towing). Room was clean, service was friendly and they even fitted us into a clean and ready room when we booked the wrong date.
Great location for Spirit travellers. Friendly service, clean spacious rooms and would def stay again
My room was comfortable & basic. It's right beside the river where the 'Spirit of Tasmania' ships go up & down. So, it's a thrill & very unusual to see the ships, above the motels rooftops; go past. Friendly staff. You get pkts biscuits which I like; beside the little pkts of tea, coffee, sugar & milk! At a motel, I'm staying @ now: DON'T have bikkies! I'm NOT HAPPY! But it has a microwave oven: which I like!
Clean rooms good efficient staff easy access to rooms affordable as well an added bonus. A good location for me
Received a flyer for the buffet breakfast whilst on board the spirit of Tasmania. The flyer pictured pastries and fresh fruit. Neither of these things were available in their so called buffet. Very false advertising.
Honestly don’t bother!
Female staff member was rude from the moment we walked in. Food was less than ordinary. Very over priced for what they had to offer. Toast, cereal and some Croissants that tasted like they were bought from woollies. Couldn’t eat anything that what was there. Had to pay extra for coffee which was terrible. Walked out and ate at the bakery up the road.
Wasted $68 for nothing!
Duvet was on the thin side so needed a blanket - hate to think what it would be like in eingery
This hotel is well within its price range but do not expect anything special,

Recommendation PreBook in advance as it gets booked very fast specially in weekends
Great place to stay in Devonport. Ideally located near Spirit of Tasmania terminal and not far from Devonport CBD. Accommodation is affordable and rooms are comfortably furnished.
Ordered a baked dinner and it came out cold, how hard is it to serve a hot meal when you have microwaves.sent it back to be heated. $52.50 for 2 baked dinners. Tassie prices are over the top.
We paid $99 for a budget room. We arrived at 9.30pm as the Spirit of Tasmania was running late. Check in was friendly and efficient. The room is definitely small, but it had a king size bed and was very clean. All white towels and bed linen. Coffee, tea, milk and sugar supplied. I have no complaints. It was quiet at night and so close to the Spirit of Tasmania. Surrounding area is pleasant enough.
Edited 7th April 2019. We stayed in the Terrace Room on the night before our return trip. Absolutely awesome room! On top of that, the owner's wife on Reception was exceptional. I have upgraded from 4 to 5 stars!
Worst tote in Australia owned by the state government can't read the screens and one monitor the size of a laptop
It's okay for the price I think. Good thing is it's next to the ferry terminal so you'll get an early start for the trip across. Most people just stay here before the morning ferry.
Was a nice place to stay for a night. Nothing great but was clean and had a shower. The staff was super friendly
Old dated rooms that could use an upgrade. One table that fits the kettle, a bench for a suitcase, no chair, no bedside tables, very outdated bathroom. Glad I'm only here for one night. Deceptive photos of rooms/complex on website.
Expensive meals in hotel.
Very helpful staff at check-in. Older dated motel with some upgrades.very convenient if you are catching the Spirit of Tasmania's early morning ferry. Comfy bed. Dinner and breakfast available at the restaurant.
Arrived late from the spirit kitchen was held open until we settled. The meal was sensational accommodation was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
