Eastcoaster reviews
61Lots of little things that could of been improved on made it a not very nice stay. Eg no fly screens so couldnt open windows to let fresh air in. Bathroom door slides open as the cabin wasnt level. Dead rabbits making a stinky smell. Very limited cooking supplies. No outside taps working. One lot of bbqs not working. The other bbqs were filthy. Lots of renovation work happening which started early in the morning. This should of been advised on booking as i find $220 a night for 2 people is not a cheap price for a cabin with noisy work going on around. The office were friendly enough but i probably wouldnt return.
Rooms are not clean. The bedside tables and lamps on them are fully covered with dust. Toilets are not cleaned properly. Foods are expensive and portion is very small. Even though they said its Sea View rooms they are not as expected. Size of the room is good. Other facilities such as gaming centre children's play area, BBQ area gym and pool areas are good.
Not very far from Hobart best place for any age group, alot of things to do in Easter coster for kids. BBQ facilities, ferry for Maria Island, good cafe for breakfast lunch and dinner
Visited in 2019 during 3 week tour of Tas and we are still trying to get over staying at Eastcoaster. Have best memories of Tas and recommend a trip here to everyone but Eastcoaster was the worst experience in regard to food, accomodation and service experience. Really hope they have improved since as Port Arthur inmates probably did it better than our stay at Eastcoaster.
Terrible service, I paid full price for an advertised room on there site but was put in a cabin with insects and mouse droppings
Friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are basic and decor is little bit dated, but great location to springboard to beautiful east coast.
Not enough cooking equipment, wobbly table, NO PRIVACY, bathroom/shower too small, at least they had complimentary stuff available
On arrival had to wash all dishes and cutlery as the were dirty stayed there for 4 days 3 night and never got any room service done not even toilet paper replaced had to buy some from shop also small bar fridge never closed properly and had 1 leg missing so was chocked up to stay even
Terrible stay never again
We chose the unrenovated fisherman's cabin for our quick stopover. It certainly met our expectations being unrenovated which is fine. However the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the light in the bathroom took so long to warm up that we ended up showering in the dark. Also the place just felt a bit dirty. Fine for one night but couldn't do any longer than that. Could hear every word of our neighbours conversations. Very overpriced for what it was. Location was good.
Love the renovated rooms! Crisp white bedding and great thick towels! Good aircon, chairs and convenient kitchenette. TV in loungr area and bedroom! Very Comfortable! Beautiful views from the restaurant's!
Beautiful place, great outdoor pool, indoor pool is smaller, the villas are 6 stars and new, the resort has rooms to suit all types, ground floor, first floor, all rooms in use are fully refurbished and new looking.
Great restaurant and breakfast on the balcony at main building has the best views, beach area is a bit rocky and not a lot of sand, area was quiet over night, great place to base oneself for touring around, highly recommend this resort since the refurbishment has been done
Amazing place beautiful and clean great service friendly staff
Our meals was spot on deffently be back
Our room was extremely dated, everything was circa 1980's including the noisy bar fridge. The bathroom was extremely basic with a tiny shower and sticky shower curtain. Beds were also very uncomfortable. Our room was nothing like pictured on website.
We had a lovely time, the room was great the heated pool was so good to help the old body after a long day travelling. Restaurant food so delicious. Compliments to the chef. Only thing there wasn't towels in the bathroom had to go to reception to get them, but when we got them and put them in the towel rack, the tow9rack fell off. Needs to be screwed in. Thank you for a lovely time.
Reservation stuffed up after confirmation sent to my email address arrived to have a blank look on the customer service person
Arranged another room of less value not what I had booked.
I ask if it was required to book a reservation in the restaurant not required on arrival no tables a wait for 1.5 hrs.
I am totally disappointed in the service level offered by the resort.
Great little spot on the East coast of Tasmania. Very last minute booking so the only rooms left were the older rooms out the back. Still very clean and comfortable. Staff were very informative gave us lots of tips for our stay. Facilities are exceptional both indoor and outdoor pools spas gyms and a jetty. There is a restaurant on site that is open from 7 a.m. For breakfast happy hour at the bar every day from 4: 30 till 5: 30.
Standard motel accommodation. Clean but the room had been spayed with a pungent scent after cleaning which meant we needed to air the room for 6 hours before it disapated.
Clean and comfortable. Lots of rooms and facilities. Would recommend as a stop for your trip along the east coast of Tasmania.
I cant understand what more people want in their reviews! From the minute i was greated yesterday by a softly spoken beautifly calm receptionist, i felt relaxed and at ease! (The young lady from Swansea). The room was huge, clean and almost new looking and the view! Lets say it was pool, beach & sea. The restaurant had a glorious view and fully licensed bar and there was a gym, tennis and squash courts, indoor and outdoor pools and take away if you needed to be private. We stayed in a room, but entire houses were available on the beach front. Yes, you can book through an online website but remember those creeps screw these resorts and reduce their prices at the same time (up to $80/night). So by pass them and take yr booking straight to the desk and give the whole amount to the owners. They deserve no less! Only stayed for one night and so pleased we found it.
Recently had a sales conference there, great location as it was a great drive from Hobart and not too far for the Launceston team to travel. Great meeting room, awesome lunch. Rooms whilst simple were 1st class, couldn't fault them at all!
Dinner in the Restaurant was fantastic and very well priced, every person in our group of 14 loved their meal and you don't get that too often.
Beautiful spot, friendly staff, will be coming back.
