Drink Tasmania Premium Tours reviews
51 We had the most amazing experience with the very capable Tim at the helm.
Fabulous wines, stunning country side.
The Cider stops at Frank's and Willie Smith, where the lunch was outstanding.
Back to the distilleries for a few nips and drams.
Thanks guys for a truly wonderful, unforgettable day
We did the Signature Tour with Taz. It was amazing and a great variety of places were visited. Taz was a bundle of knowledge and a great personality. Highly recommend this tour if you want to try what Tasmania has to offer in wine, whiskey and ciders. Thanks Taz!
My husband and I did the Signature Tour with Dan yesterday and had a wonderful time! Dan was incredibly knowledgeable about the places we visited and the drinks they served, as well as being easy-going and friendly! We found it was a good mix of wines, ciders and spirits, so there's something for everyone.
A shout out to Kate too who was lovely over the phone and made sure dietary restrictions were passed on.
We'd recommend Drink Tasmania if you're wanting to do a tour while in Hobart!
The whole day whisky tour was an excellent experience mainly thanks to Patrick who is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
Very lovely tour we did beer, gin, whiskey, cider and wine for the whole day.
Dan our tour guide was a lovely professional funny guy, who gaves us very lovely talks and explainations on how to make alcohol plus Tasmania history.
Counted 30+ drinks that we have tasted.
Definitely worth to do the tour and definitely money for value!
Would recommend to change one of the cider places (that's the only reason why we didn't give 5 stars)
We had a private wine and whiskey tour with Drink Tasmania. Kate in the office was wonderful setting up the places visited to suite our requirements. Our guide Tim was terrific and very knowledgeable on the wines, whiskeys and ciders of Tasmania. Thanks for a wonderful relaxing day.
We had perfect weather for our Signature tour (23/11/21), Tim, our guide, was laid back, and provided heaps of info throughout the day
We visited a winery, 2 ciderys, 3 distilleries, and finished up at a brewery. Generous tastings at almost all of them made the $199 tour cost seem well spent. We had lunch (not included), at Wllie Smith's cidery, and the food was great. I bought their apple pommeau liqueur, it's delicious.
A well worthwhile tour, even if you don't drink all the different things on offer. I also bought the 'sticky' sold at Home Hill winery.
We did a full day private wine tour with Emma as our host. She was AMAZING! So easy to get along with and so informative with everything Tasmania. Winery’s were amazing. Lunch was incredible. Thanks so much for an amazing day. Would highly recommend. We will be back:)
Great value for money tour. Patrick our guide was very knowledgeable and so friendly. Definitely a must if you are in Hobart and love wine!
Wonderful tour, all destinations were amazing! Really enjoyed the pagan cider brewery & the tour at the spring bay distillery. Lunch was also fantastic. Our tour guide Gino was brilliant, friendly, kept us well entertained and was full of great knowledge about the history of distilleries and breweries in tasmania. Can't beat the value for money here!
We did the whiskey tour. It far surpassed my expectations for a tour of this kind. We got to meet a lot of boutique whiskey distillers and learned so much about how whiskey is made. It was great to hear first hand how the process works from a mix of owners and distillers which is a lot more personalised than say a tasting at a wine cellar door. Would highly recommend this and if you are in any way unsure what it might be like (like I was) then just go for it.
This is a must do for any whisky, gin or wine lover.
The service and local knowledge, along with the obvious collaboration with the local distillery’s and vineyards makes this a must do.
You can buy good whisky and gin but you can’t pay enough for an experience you will cherish for life.
The value for money is amazing.
Thanks Drink Tasmania.
We will be back.
What a day.
Our host Peter gave us a fun trip around Southern Tassie sampling some wonderful Gins. We had a superb lunch at Bangor Vineyard and sample a swag of top wines here as well. Our trip finished of with a fresh Gin Cocktail at Gold Bar in Hobart.
Peter was an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate local, with little pops of information and history around the whisky and gin industry and its evolution in Tasmania. A terrific group of people. Perfect hosts and local businesses. Will certainly recommend. Thanks for a great day!
Enjoyed our day. Fantastic luuch at Frogmore. Whiskey and gin at offer at all venues. Very interesting.
We had an awesome day with Peter from Drink Tasmania. He was very knowledge and able to really explain the different distilleries we visited. It is a must to visit on your travels to Tasmania.
Tim was our guide and he was amazing!
We were super lucky and had the whole tour just the two of us. I counted all the shots that I had, and it was 23.ha! Amazing tour and I am so glad that I did it. My wife who's not a strong drinker also loved the tour:)
You Tasmanian are amazing and we will most definitely recommend this tour to any and everyone.
We had a fantastic time on the Signature Tour yesterday. What sets this tour apart from others on offer is the variety of drink styles. Wines, craft ciders, gin, whisky and craft beers. Our lunch stop at Willie's Cider was a highlight. Geno our guide was so friendly and kept a good vibe going throughout the day. Thanks again!
From start to finish it's impossible ot fault the private tour that I enjoyed. Communication pre-tour was great and we were able to tailor part of the itinerary to better match our preferences. Appreciate the effort Peter went to to ensure that we all had the most enjoyable day. Can't recommend Drink Tasmania Premium Tours enough. Will be back!
We did a wine, cider, whisky and beer tour with Ben Andrews. Fantastic tour, Ben was so knowledgeable of the Hobart and surrounding areas. We had a delightful and delicious lunch at the willie smith cider shed (fantastic!). Also Adam from Captain Bligh’s was more sparkly than Swarovski crystal when he spoke about his distilling process and the history of Captain Bligh’s. Also the visit to Killara distillery was another high light, Kristy gave us a personal experience that left us feeling invested in Killara’s growth.
