Dropped in for a quick beer after arriving from S. A. Hosts were very accommodating and the beer delicious. Good sitting spot out the back, too!

A beautiful variety of food, made with the utmost love and care.

The parmigiana I had was made very well, moist and huge, worth the $28.

For a tea drinker, they made beautiful coffees, they’ll win you over with their mochas.

Highly recommend Doctor Syntax if you’re ever out in the town in Sandy Bay!

Super rude staff. Made us rush even when we pre booked and let them know what was happening. Made everyone feel SUPER uncomfortable with the rude attitude and like we weren’t wanted even though it was a large group who all wanted food and drink so a big chunk of money. Would not recommend if you want good food and service, many better places to go in Hobart!

Omg. So.much better than expected. First impression is your regular old pub. Looked at the menu and thought prices were more expensive than your average pub meal. Service was friendly and efficient and meal was exceptional. Not a romantic place for dinner but amazing food. Will be back for sure!

Great place to stay just the room attendants slow. But we'll priced. Pretty much a short walk to where you want to go. Or you have bus stop right out front.

Very weird! Cross between a betting shop and a pub. But really nice.
Decent beer and wine choices. Food too. Odd collection of sport on screen - greyhound racing, horses, cricket, whatever. And Keno. Maybe not a 'date' venue - but, otherwise it's pretty decent. Just don't expect olde English pub

Great staff great menu just a great place to eat either the sport bar or restaurant. Book for restaurant so you don’t miss out, five star food, YUMMY!

The best meal I've had in a long time steak cooked medium come out pink with no blood pool great chips and salad herb bread and pepper sauce wow! Ice cold beer. Great for a family or out with friends, won't be the last they see of me that's for sure.

We stayed in what was advertised at their king room, but instead of a king bed they had just pushed two single beds together and put a king size sheet over them. They weren’t even nice single beds either. Then there was the overbearing noise from the road and the blinds did sweet FA to keep the light out at night and our room was almost fully lit while they were down. If you need a place to stay, sleep on a bench. If you can’t find a bench maybe consider this place.

Excellent. This was the first time we had been here, and only heard good things. For good reason. The meals came out fast, they were a good size, and the server guy was very friendly and easygoing. We enjoyed dining here and we will be back.

Rude staff, very unhelpful. Actually went out of their way to make our group unwelcome. From the 5 yr old through to the 79 year old no one was treated well!

Best cooked steak I have had since I ate at the black cow in Launceston. I stay at the hotel for work accommodation and i will keep coming back to the restaurant from now on.

Good quality food and generous portions. The price is higher than the standard pub food, though there is a bar menu to meet pub price needs

The meals from the restaurant were only pub quality with restaurant prices. The chef argued that he cooked the steak as was ordered and would not accept that it was overcooked. The parmy was burnt and inedible. Should have realised as tthre were no other customers.
