Was a good this experience. Places goodly drink for eating and. Nice back doors out drinking side. Again goes will we.

Close to city, market, near new, walk to wws, lots of restaurants nearby including 3 Chinese restaurants, free parking.

Since the renovations there is more space for patrons to comfortably sit in comfort without fear of being constantly bumped into.

Budget accommodation close to shops on Sandy Bay road. Room was spotless with private bathroom. Only gripe we had it was a bit dark as only window was in bathroom. Good value though

Thoroughly enjoyed the slow cooked pork loin and yummy potatoes and greens. There were 8 of us and all the meals came out together (a rare treat) hot and fresh. No one disappointed. Service was great too. Will definitely return

Fantastic food. Nice enough service. The restaurant felt a bit grimy and in need of TLC. It was also ridiculously hot inside. Our table asked for the air-conditioning to be turned on, apparently it was. Outdoor area looked nice, others must have thought so to as it was full.

A very good venue had a great meal good service and friendly staff had a lovely seafood Mornay good suff

After eating the worst pub meal ever the week before at a popular Irish pub in Harrington St Hobart, how refreshing it was to eat the best pub meal ever on Friday night. Absoultely stunning meals at the Dr Syntax. Great staff as opposed to other mob. Very professuinal and very very friendly. #rd meal in 6 weeks there and the same wevery time. Dont get rid of the chef or wait staff. Thanks and see you again soon.

This is my most favourite restaurant ever.
The foods are just amazing, as they said "you will never hungry at Dr.syntax" the portion are huge. The steak are just perfect. The drinks option are great too, I love the cider on tap.
I suggests you to book first so you can get the table inside.

My goodness, delicious food that was more than expected. The pork belly was crunchy succulent and moreish. The parmy was fantastic! Service was friendly prompt and excellent all rolled into one. Definitely worth a visit more than once!

Amazing quality food. Service was excellent, straight off the bat. Didn't have to wait. Couldn't fault our entrees or meals. Will be back for sure!

I was meeting friends for lunch at the dr Syntax today. As I parked a woman, who I guess works there as she had keys and entered the building, told me off for using the car park. I Have eaten here a few times and liked it but that has made me not want to return. Guess I’ll try somewhere else for lunch today.

Wow what can we say had a large booking which is a must.

When you pay 45 dollars for a hot and cold seafood platter you expect something special. It looked amazing, but alas it was not. Blue Grenadier in batter was so greasy, and mushy for my liking. The scallops were shrivelled up and hard tiny balls. Plenty of mussels in a sugary brine. The smoked salmon, calamari and chips were it.
In a nut shell it's pub grub trying to be something it's not.

Spent the day in the sports bar, the staff are fabulous, know all the patrons and very welcoming to us. Food was sooo good. I cannot fault this pub, clean, friendly and awesome staff. Very happy with our visit

Delicious parmigiana! Great sized, loads of chips, plenty of salad and whole bucket of sauce! Definitely can’t complain! The price might throw you off at first but you wait until you see and taste it! Delicious! Friendly staff and a great area! Plenty of parking as well!

We went there to have dinner Sunday night 21st March and it was all closed even though the sign on the doors said open 7 days 11am until late. Not even a sign to say why. They missed out on 4 visitors wanting meals and drinks

Wonderful meal, a family gathering. 9 meals and all were excellent. Service fast and friendly. Highly recommend and will certainly be back again.
