DC Cafe and Espresso Bar

There for Christmas lunch. All I can say is WOW, we rolled out of there, so much great food Service was fantastic. Highly recommend.

What a great little find not on the main road down a side lane so glad we came not disappointed and bonus you can bring your well behaved doggo! Staff were super friendly, service was excellent and food delicious generous portions and Buddy the jack had his own brekkie drink which was brought out in his own bowl great work guys thank you

We used to travel from Devonport every weekend to get a coffee from here, unfortunately had 2 bad coffees in a row so mentioned the problem privately so the issue could be amended. I was told to save my fuel and don’t come back.

Reasonable food I had chips and gravy the gravy had meat in it the coffee was nice the first time I had pancakes and bacon and maple syrup it was great

So very slow in making your meal I nearly fell asleep waiting and it was a wed so wasn't crowded.omg a simple order and so so long, I wouldn't go back again.i will go to Oliver's in future, I felt like I was ignored because I didnt order a big meal.i finally after 25 min went in and asked where my order was, only to be abruptly told by female staff to wait a min, then got it out and got it ready, theyhadnt even started it.and I ordered before any one else came in.not happy at all.i asked to eat in and the food was slapped in a cardboard box and dropped on my table.not happy at all and I'm a local and will not recommend this cafe to any one

This cafe is an institution in Ulverstone. The people are wonderful the atmosphere is superb and the food is fantastic.

The staff are always friendly and the service has always been good whenever we go there. The Sunday lunch roast with choice of dessert was very good. Remember to book well in advance as it is very popular.

Came for coffee. Didn't stay for more. Server had a dead fish personality, so slow service for below average coffee.

Well, it would be nice to start off with ‘if you need anything from the menu, then you’ll have to come back before 2: 30pm’. We got there at 3: 15pm, so it would of taken them 45 minutes to cook up and serve our lunch. Keeping in mind that the cafe closes at 4. So I ask this question, what do you after 4pm, oh that’s right, you just lock the doors and go home. This is the pattern we get as Tassie locals who moved down from NSW, for the fresh air as well as the friendly hospitality. We found the fresh air, maybe the hospitality is hiding under a rock somewhere!

Have Read a few reviews of this joke of an owner! Absolutely correct - definitely needs a personality transplant as mentioned in another post!
Very disappointing for a local family who unfortunately had to change their wedding day to the next day due to sickness.
‘Punished’ them with less than average food but it was his whole demeanour that was the icing on the cake!
I can’t figure out how this guy has a busy & popular cafe. He spoke to a staff member very rudely but not surprised considering his ‘mood’ towards us.
Word of advice to you ol’ mate: stay in the kitchen or think about another industry!

My first visit here was fantastic. The Cafe was packed which added to the atmosphere and although they were busy the staff was friendly and professional.
The food was great a really good sized meal and very tasty.

I found the ambience of the car Park off putting. Also they squished my croissant, wasn't happy.

Unfortunately we got there at 3pm for a very late snack and couldn't get anything except coffee and cake, when they don't close till 4pm I think this was very poor

Good coffee, & freshly squeezed orange juice.
Lunch was enjoyable & the service was good.

Tasty food, fantastic coffee, great assortment of food to choose from, friendly staff, fast service and a quirky atmosphere, reasonably priced, definitely try the place.

First time for years, food was lovely, great setting, friendly staff, great assortment of food, delicious coffee, will return, fast service.
