Dan Murphy's Launceston

Always worth fighting the crowds in Dan Murphy's! Great selection at great prices and friendly staff.

It's isn't to be Dan Murphy is a cheaper bottle shop? Wow, did you not notice how much the prices jumped? It's time to stop supporting this this shop and go somewhere else or stopped drinking wine.

What a great store! I have been to quite a few Dan stores - Cairns, Brisbane, Victoria point ect. The staff here are fabulous. At least 3 of them asked if I needed help to find what I was looking for A+

They stock mainly pinnacle products- aka- homebrand booze by Woolworths. They have it labelled as best of the best (it's not even the best of the worst) and local, with "support local" tags on them.
They don't have an actual local section, and when asked for recommendations for good locals, the clearly out of his depth staffer pointed out ONLY pinnacle brands, none of which where local and one not even the type of wine asked for.
While they carry a ton of stock, they carry much GOOD stuff and there's very few actual bargains, it's largely on par with every other bottleshop, but lacks the charm or knowledgeable staff of many other local shops.

Very poor will not match online price even with free delivery. Will give the so called cheap and so call price matching and buy online even Nick's do free delivery over$200 guess where my money is being spent.

I do not drink much alcohol but I found my favourite German beer here. This. Could. Be. Dangerous.lol

Very helpful & informative staff. Also, the prices are so competitive. I don't think I can afford to shop for drinks anywhere else

Look, I’m sorry but I’m not a fan. I’ve seen many accounts of people driving erratically around the car park of a night. This really makes me feel unsafe and self conscious

Over the phone experience was shocking with online orders. The customer service representative wouldn't transfer me to the store.

Delicious as always. Staff attentive. One of the best chocolate desserts ever! How on earth do you coddle condensed milk? Yum.

There is an Indian guy sitting at the door who is very irritated asking so may question when we go there about party. We don't want to talk unless we talk or ask some help. Pls instruct to this guy only say hi without asking any other questions. Pls keep this guy away.

Endless possibilities to choose from. Aswell as great staff and good prices. Will definitely be back again to grab more great deals.

Easy parking, friendly and helpful staff with a good selection. We got a locally produced Gin which is delicious.

Good Facilities, Tastings avaliable at no close. Huge range in store. Friendly staff. I guess a great bottle shop.

The guy there was so helpful and done so much to find a certain red for me. In the end I needed to go online. But all good. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Such a huge range of everything and lots of overseas wines and spirits. Something for the tourists so they don't miss home def worth a stop in there if your after some good bargains. The bargain bins are full and really well priced. We will be back for sure next time we go to Launceston.

I went into the Launceston branch this week 3rd/4th August 2020 and was met by a very unhelpful man James who really couldnt be bothered to serve me at all.spent his entire time on the phone taking personal calls. I did complain to a bearded member of staff on the tills who said he would pass the message on. He was disinterested, rude and pointing to a box of wine I required with the sole of his foot was exceptionally poor customer service. Disappointed to say the least. Arrogant little man!

Very helpful man in late 40s going out of his way to help customers on the floor in spirts area bossy female manager taking him off floor and putting him on checkout customs need people like him on the floor helping

Thank God there is a Dan Murphys in Launceston, they are the best shop for wine, best selection with best pricing! I drive from Wilmot to Dan Murphys Launceston!

Impressive store lots of space to show a large range.

Well, it's a warehouse full of grog, so there's that. Couldn't get Cascade Stout in the 16 pack. Have never stocked it. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, so no complaint there, I just thought it'd be much simpler to get than it was. 5 other bottlos in Lonny tried without success. Steve's Liquor sorted me out in the end.
