Crowne Plaza Hobart, an IHG Hotel

Looks and feels like a 5 star hotel. Beats even Merriott in terms of interior design, and the breakfast buffet!

My favourite hotel on Hobart and one of the best Crowne Plaza branded hotels you will find. Rooms are lovely and spacious with high attention to detail. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel and always happy to help with any requests. Great restaurant situated on the lobby level too. Look forward to returning again!

We spent one week at the Crowne Plaza, in a Premium Junior King Room with Club access. Everything about this Hotel is amazing, the staff went out of their way to help, especially Aaron and Jason at concierge Ryan at reception and so many other staff members. Our room was outstanding we will definately be back. We stayed on level 11 in room 1129.

After a recent stay at Crowne plaza my partner decided to book another night away. She booked through wotif and due to COVID had to change dates. Wotif agreed to change the date and then a couple of days later Crowne took the money from my account for the room.

We contacted Crowne who said we never showed up for our reservation. Wotif had changed the date from the 30th July to 3rd august instead of the 3rd September (we were still in isolation on the 3rd) Crowne were nice at first saying we could change the booking but they had to confirm with wotif. We never heard back so after another call they said wotif refused. We then called wotif, they accepted they were wrong and would credit us the money, we never go it. After another call they said Crowne now refused. Both have said they will investigate and get back to us. It has been a month!

So now we are out of pocket $350 and never had a night away and have had terrible service from both wotif and Crowne.

We had such great service from everyone we met during our stay. We loved the location, the room, the stay! Thank you so much everyone at Crown Plaza Hobart.

We just had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza for a birthday getaway. We received warm and personalised service from all staff but in particular Evan, Alisha and Anna in the Club Lounge. The hotel provides an excellent location close to all amenities and a short stroll to the water. We will definitely be staying here again - we highly recommend this property!

We had a very nice stay at the Crown Plaza, Hobart. It's located on the prime location, you can enjoy all the shopping centers near by. Rooms are spacious, well maintained with all the required facilities. You can use the vallet parking facility to park your car. The hotel team will bring the car to the hotel entrance area as per your request. You can either have food here or can go out and have the food. Even many delivery people deliver your food. Overall Iam very happy with the checkin, stay, check out processes. The buffet breakfast also good. For Indian people, we have a Indian Nepalese restaurant on the backside road. It's walkable.

Fine breakfast, comfy atmosphere of the room! Clean, fresh, new furniture. Wish could stayed longer!

Lovely clean, modern rooms. Very well situated as close walking distance to the wharf, shops, museums and restaurants.

Buffett breakfast was excellent, lots of choices both hot and cold. Eggs/omelettes made to order. Only down side on both of the mornings we ate there the coffee wasn't the best and was luke warm.

Rooms were amazing! Big shower, electronic curtains, comfy bed. Staff were super helpful+ breakfast was delicious!

Great hotel. Modern, spacious rooms, centrally located and friendly staff make this my first choice when visiting Hobart.

Over priced and not worth it compared to other hotels in this price bracket.

Whilst the facilities and staff are great, there are a few issues staying here
* Impossible to get a park near by, valet parking area is normally blocked by other vehicles making it difficult to drop a vehicle off.
*Hotel is next to a loud nightclub, so Friday or Saturday nights don't expect to get any sleep before 12. Even on the 8th floor it is louder than your average house party next door.
*Hotel corridors are poorly lit and give off a dinghy look, dark enough that it's difficult to read your room number once the natural light has gone (cloud day or after 5pm)
