Country Club Tasmania reviews
60 Absolutely worth staying there
Wished we had extra time for golf
Very helpful and friendly staff from reception on.
Lovely setting
Room good
Good food
Thanks to Jenny at bar then dining.
I didn’t stay at the venue, although my partner did.
After receiving a call over Facebook from her that she had misplaced her phone, I called the front desk to enquire if her phone had been located.
Peter, from the front desk answered, going above and beyond to help locate said phone even though it was 2am.
To Peter, thank you for helping and the amazing service even though I was calling from Melbourne!
To the establishment, Peter is a keeper.
Loved our meal. Great experience. Only downside is we have a big family so would have loved the option to sit together. We had to split our tables up and we were seated in separate parts of the restaurant to eat! But otherwise we enjoyed our time out!
Golf course is great. Casino staff are mostly friendly. Staff are friendly but you can see the property is date and struggling with basic hotel services. No robes, odd food service hours, no mini bar, shower over bath, decent casino, health centre, golf driving range, squash, tennis, comfortable bed, beautiful location. Having stayed at a couple Federal group properties I sense something is not quite right here in Tasmania. The excuse of course will COVID-19. In Australia at least this is the common excuse for lack of service. Sorry no mini bar because of coronavirus but the buffet breakfast where we all handle the same utensils, there is concern about coronavirus.
Went to the Christmas in July Buffet. Good choice of food but way to many people in the lunch line. No social distancing what so ever. Lunch queue went between 2 rows of tables so when seated there was no room to move and got bumped many times while seated due to queueing. Not a very good add for social distancing.
Worth a visit, even just for a look. Don't expect to win on machines lol, although it would have been nice if they were at least entertaining. The staff were friendly.
Love the country club definitely love coming here more than my home town casino wrest point but I do love that casino to just not as much as the country club sorry wrest point
Love the Food, Service, Bingo, and the Sausage rolls are to die for. One advice, the lighting in places under the Balcony of the Cabaret room needs to be brighter. A lot Of The elderly are finding it difficult to see during Bingo time.
Nice place, casino next door is unusual for us but located less than 10minutes to Launceston CBD. Good facilities and restaurant although wine is expensive.
Worst hotel rooms ever. The rooms are very Old and haven't been renovated. The room didn’t have an extra chair which is a standard in a hotel room which makes the room look empty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The TV in the room is small, its like a computer monitor and the staff failed us with 3 extra feather pillows from the pillow menu.
I just called in this evening for a meal in the Water Garden. Most impressed with food and the very pleasant staff and their service.
Well appointed hotel, reasonable sized rooms if not a little dated, comfortable beds, several restaurants offering differing price points & food quality to match. Very limited beer selection & considering the plethora of quality breweries in Tasmania, poor management in this regard. Heated pool, spa, sauna, all the amenities one would expect from this type establishment. Lovely grounds harbouring plenty of native wildlife. Good venue for a small festival
Enjoyed staying here.
Rooms are comfortable, grounds well kept.
Good food and wine.
Friendly staff.
Wow. Can't play know without going into the pokies lounge and the gaming bar ie tab is right next to Cafe with children being served. Pokie heaven if you're that way inclined but I thought the place lacked atmosphere and soul. Pokies visible and audible to all and sundry from all corners of the venue including children's seating areas. Not very impressed. In nsw pokies subsidise beer prices. In the casino and country club the beer is a dollar dearer than your local hotel. Go figure. 1 star
Matt at reception was fantastic during our check-in. Rooms were absolutely clean and comfortable. Easy access to golf course was a great bonus. All staff were helpful and friendly.
Clean but on the older side.
Staff nice but afew abit pretentious and keys didn't work half the time.
Pattiricia, the angel at the front desk, so welcoming we changed our stay from two days to a week! Couldn't be happier with our stay and the service.
And the amenities! I mean spa, sauna, heated pool, gym, incredible.
The moose kidney foie gras was not tepid as I requested and instead at room temperature. The field mouse in the salad made up for it though!
Back after 3 year absence. Crowds down but same great friendly professional service. Extremy well presented Security Team who were very welcoming. A change of senior management since my last visit has obviously had a positive effect on the morale of staff. Great to see the Covid -19 mitigation measures in place. A very safe and welcoming entertainment venue.
Great deal on the food and Accom Golf and Pool wonderful wildlife everywhere, loads of entertainment always clean and nice staff, love the gaming and water garden, we recommend to all ages and groups, Cheers Pat silverth.com
