Can't get food cheaper than this anywhere. Yummy food, and free pool on certain days. Awesome

Friendly waitress, but unfortunately the food was almost unedible. Meat pie, mashed potatoes and mashed peas.
The pie had excessive thick crust, partly burnted.
Inside, hardly any meat, gray colour gravy. I also observed that other colleagues who ordered the pie left most of it on the plate.
The desert, chocolate mousse with whipped cream. Too warm, not properly whipped, Rather runny.

Great food. Also every Sunday you can play 8 ball for free.we had a wonderful day. We first went to the moonah hotel. We asked if they had vB and waitress was so rude told us if you won't VB go to Cooley's so we did.

In my employment I have been to many pubs around Southern Tasmania for meals. I would have to say that the Cooleys is on top. The food was excellent, hot and fresh. The staff very friendly. I will return. Thanks so much for an enjoyable lunch.

Very disappointed, both my partner and I got steaks (medium rare) and it came out raw. We then sent both back, I got a new steak but it was cooked the exact same as the first one. My partners steak just thrown back on and still somehow came out raw again. Won’t be going back, chef needs to learn how to cook a steak properly.

We came here for a birthday dinner and I ordered a kids meal (for context, I’ve had weight loss surgery so I can only eat half of a kids meal), the waiter asked me if it was for me or a child and I explained the situation and I was refused. Fair enough, first place this has ever happened to me at though, most restaurants are understanding.

My partner received the wrong meal and was spoken to rudely when asked to correct it.

And they also try to charge you a fee to have cake there? It’s an extra $10 to be allowed to eat your OWN CAKE at their tables?

Sad to say, absolute disaster of a place. If a chef can’t cook chips, you know it’s a monkey back there. Steak was still alive, chips were white. Never again. Got my money back

Me and my mate had our lunch here and couple of beers while watching the boxing. Huge beef and chicken parmigiana's at a small price. Beer was also great.

The menu now provides more gluten free options. The food is awesome and the staff are usually very friendly.

Service was really good. Lovely staff! Food, not so much. Portion size too small for price. Everything that was cooked in the fryer tasted like fish. The garlic bread loaf was excellent though!

Fish and chips are bad and work on Coslow salad and chips are soggy get once a month. Getting bad

I am celiac and went to order the gluten free parmi and the rude waitress that served me questioned me on why I was ordering the gluten free option and then later told that the parmi that had a gluten free option was not actually gluten free. Changed my order to the roast and my chicken was dry and roast potatoes were bland.someone on my table ordered medium steak and revived medium rare. The rude waitress just gave bad vibes and seemed like she didn’t want to be working and was just blunt.

Lovely Food, great service friendly staff. A nice place to have a meal or a drink.or a game of pool with friends or family.

Dropped in for a drink, with the intention of staying for a feed. Had poor service and table manners, which made us rethink our food options and took our business elsewhere.

Unfortunately the worst meal I have had in a hotel in years.beef casserole with literally 3 small chunks of meat and the gravy …. Thickened with cornflour it was that gluggy…. Uneatable to say the least… I went home and had toast it was that bad.very disappointing

Had the special which was a beef stew. Tasty but artificially thickened sauce and a little on the small side.
Quite pleasant environment but got a bit noisy.

Good food not a lot on the menu a little bit higher price than other pubs, clean and up to date decor

Family friendly, wow! What service. This pub is great for kids. Old skool service. A credit to Moonah. Thankyou for making our kids so welcome.

Great service friendly staff.meal was a bit small (i had Atlantic salmon) but thats my only complaint.meal sizes of the others looked ok will definatly be going back.

Haven't really been here more than a couple of times, but I met the lady that eventually married here. Therefore 5 stars.
